When I connect my TV to the device, the TV turns silent, I thought the TV can still have sound as well as the headset.
Hi Anthony, thanks for your question. How odd to hear that the sound cuts out when you connect it to the TV. Our specialists would happily look into that for you. Feel free to reach out to us on Facebook and/or Twitter (@PhilipsCare) for further assistance. Alternatively, you can contact our support team by phone on: 1300 998 851. hi
Usually there is a setting in the TV settings [the cog wheel symbol] for sound input.
Hi - I have a pair of SHC 2000/79 wireless headphones which are completely fine, but the little wireless hub does not work (not sure what happened- but with 12 grannies, it could have been anything!) . Does anyone have a wireless base station for this model? Happy to pay.... Jac
Hi Jac, We're not sure if we would still be able to provide this base station as spare part, as the set of headphones has been discontinued for quite some time. But it wouldn't hurt to try our customer care: external link .
We hope that you'll be able to come by a new one soon. We understand that you don't want the listening pleasure to stop if you've got a set of perfectly working headphones.
Kind regards,
The Philips Australia Team
Can I use SHC 2000 on desk computer Windows 7 without bluetooth?
Hi Nadia, yes you can! Since the SHC2000 works with a base unit that you connect with the computer via a cable, you do not need Bluetooth. The connection between the base unit and the headphone is via infrared. Let us know if you have more questions!
