Revitive Circulation Booster Regular Questions & Answers
VerifiedIs it helpful for gout
Hi Colin, We haven't got any clinical evidence as to whether Revitive Circulation Booster can help with gout. Revitive uses professional strength Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to stimulate the muscles and get oxygen-rich blood flow to your legs and feet. We recommend speaking with your doctor to see if they feel it could be suitable for you. We offer a 60-day money back trial so you can try the device for yourself at home, if you find it's not suitable you can return it for a refund less $29.95 postage and handling external link . Warm Regards, Revitive Australia
My mother uses compression stockings which only come off twice a week for showering. We got a Revitive but see it recommends to use barefoot. Will it still work through stocking?
Hi TJG, Revitive Circulation Boosters use Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) which means it needs contact with the skin in order to make a full circuit for the electrical stimulation to flow. Unfortunately without contact with the skin your mother won't get the stimulation. Perhaps you could speak to your mother's doctor about other options, such as footless compression stockings. Warm Regards, Revitive Australia
Does revitive work for gout
Hi James, We don't have any clinical evidence as to whether Revitive can help with gout. Our devices come with TENS which can be used for temporary pain relief. We recommend speaking with your doctor to see if they think Revitive could benefit you. We offer a 60-day money back trial so you can try the device in your home, if you find it's not suitable you can return it for a refund minus $29.95 postage and handling. Warm Regards, Revitive Australia
I actually have a revitive device which I use but I was just asking thank you
Hi James, Hopefully it helps with your gout.
Hi there. I have developed an open ulcer on the top of my right foot. I have dveloped diabetes Type 2 and have thin skin due to many years of steroids for a rare autoimmune condition. I have been using my Revitive on and off for 5years and have experienced great & regular benefits with it. The foot ulcer is a recent thing, Can I still use my Revitive while I have this ulcer. It is nowhere near the soul of my foot. Thank you :-)
Kitt, In my opinion, I see no reason not to continue the use of your Revitive
Thank you Norm :-)
Hi Kitt, It's not advised to use EMS directly over broken skin, as long as the soles of your feet are ok it should be fine. We do recommend you check with your doctor though just to be sure. Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia
Thank you so much :-)
Hi Kitt, You are welcome. Hopefully your foot heals quickly. Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia
My wife has previously had a CVA and she gets Atrial fibrulation but has medication such as beta blocker and also medication for blood pressure and Cholesterol can she use Revitive EMS
Philip, My wife had a heart attack and lost around 30% of her heart function and as a result had major issues with poor circulation and fluid build up causing her feet and legs to swell. The revitive circulation booster definitely gave her benefits of improved circulation and pain relief.
Hi Philip, Your wife's medical conditions are not contraindications for using Revitive Circulation Booster. We do however recommend you speak with her doctor before use to ensure the device is suitable for her. If you have any further questions please give us a call 07 5443 9767. Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia

Why are both my older revitive medic model and now my new one , which I bought to replace the older one I thought had broken, giving me like electric shocks on both heels ? It's so unpleasant, I can't use them ( now I have two ), even with the intensity down to 30 . It was up to 54 with no problems, now suddenly this pain & I don't know why ? Kind regards S.
Hi Sarah, This often happens when we have small cracks or abrasions - common on our heels. Revitive uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS). When we have an area of broken skin the electrical stimulation can feel quite sharp - similar to a shock. I can assure you it is not actually shocking you. The nerve endings in this area are a little more exposed.
We generally recommend you place a bandaid or plaster over the effected areas while using Revitive to protect that area from the sensation. In between uses, apply moisturiser to the heels to help repair the skin to that area.

Can Revitive cause palpitations? I only use it once at night once at strength 3, I developed palpitations which now I have stopped using it, have gone.
Hi S.K This would be a question best answered by your doctor. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions we do recommend that you seek advice from a doctor before using Revitive - especially if these conditions are related to the heart.
If you have a heart pacemaker or other electronic implanted device we do not recommend use.

Can I use revitive if I have stents in my legs?
Hello cherylborthwick1 Stents are not a contraindication on their own, but we do recommend that anyone with a pre-existing condition check in with their Doctor before using to ensure that use of Electrical Muscle Stimulation is suitable with a full view of your medical history.
Its also a good idea to check the contraindications: external link

Does any one else have shocks on there feet whilst using the revitive machine.
Hi Michaela G. Firstly I can assure you that the feeling you're experiencing is not an actual electric shock however if you have an area of broken skin or an abrasion on the foot the sensation of the EMS can feel very sharp. This is because the nerve endings are a little more exposed.
At this time of year our skin can get dry and we tend to drink a little less so rough skin is quite common. The best thing to do is to apply a bandaid or plaster over the impacted area - this should stop the sensation from occurring while it heals.
If that doesn't fix the issue, please give us a call so we can get some more information - 07 5443 9767.

I suffer from peripheral sensory neuropathy, which causes bad circulation in my feet. They are normally cold, numb and pins and needles. I also went through heart surgery about 3 months ago. Would it be safe and beneficial to use revitive
Hi Paul m. Given your heart surgery was so recent, we would recommend you check with your doctor before use and take a read through the contraindications. If your surgery involved the placement of a pacemaker, then as a general rule we do not recommend using Revitive (as it involves electrical stimulation).

Hi, I suffer with leg ulcers, would I benefit from using revitive?
Hi there, Thank you for your question. It would depend on what is causing your leg ulcer. Your doctor would be best to advise and guide you especially if your leg ulcer is caused by a medical condition.
Revitive helps improve leg circulation and reduce pain & discomfort in the legs, ankles and feet caused by poor circulation, also medically diagnosed as Peripheral Arterial Disease.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach us at info.au@actegy.com or 07-5443 9767.

Thanks, my ulcers are caused through poor circulation, so I would think the revitive product could possibly help me.
I had a full knee replacement 7 wks ago. I have the Revitive Knee Medic, can I start using it now. Or do I need to wait a bit longer?
Hi Daphne H. Since the surgery was so recent, we'd recommend that you check with your doctor to be sure. Especially if you are looking to use the knee application. When your doctor has cleared you for use, it is good to know that it is possible that the electrical muscle stimulation can feel more intense close to the site of a metallic implant. It is safe to use however please be aware of your comfort and adjust the intensity to suit the most sensitive side.
Generally speaking we do recommend using caution in the first 6 months post surgery. This means that you should listen to your body - reduce the intensity and therapy duration when needed to ensure that it does not impact on your recovery.
Please feel free to give us a call if you'd like to discuss further. 07 5443 9767

My husband is having chemo, and suffers with neuropathy, will revitive help him with that??
Hi Karen, Revitive helps with symptoms of pain and discomfort from diabetic peripheral neuropathy. However, your husband suffers from neuropathy, possibly due to chemotherapy, which is different from diabetic neuropathy.
If you would still like to give Revitive a try, please talk with your Doctor - who has a full view of your husband's medical condition - before using Revitive. Our brand new devices come with a 60-Day Money Back Offer so this may be something you could consider. external link

Is it safe to use revitive after having heart bypass surgery
Hi Ian W. We do recommend you check with your doctor before using - especially with a heart condition. If your doctor is comfortable, we suggest using with care in the 6 months post-surgery to ensure that it does not impact with recovery.
Please note that anyone with a heart pacemaker should not use Revitive.
Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia
Thank you
I have gout in my right foot should I stop using my Revitive Medic machine till it’s gone ?
Hi Martin, There is no contraindication to using Revitive when you have gout. However, if there is any discomfort or pain during use, we recommend to pause using Revitive until you are better. It is also good to have a chat with your doctor to get advise as he/she may have a better view of your full medical condition.

Can I use revitive medic if I have Arterial fib female age 74
Hi Carol, Thank you for your question. Are you fitted with a pacemaker or AICD (Automated Implantable Cardioverter Defib)? If yes, then this is a contraindication to using Revitive. An A-fib, from our understanding, is an irregular heart rhythm. Being both a pre-existing medical condition and a heart condition, we strongly recommend consulting with your doctor before using Revitive.
Feel free to reach out to us at info.au@actegy.com or call us at 07 5443 9767 if you have any other questions.

can i use revitive when wearing pressure stockings
Hello p. davey, Revitive requires two bare feet to be placed on the device. It will not work with socks or stockings covering the feet. If you have foot-less stockings the device will work, but we'd recommend you check in with your doctor before doing this.
Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia
Can I use revitive with a metal pin in big toe
Hi Jacqueline H. Revitive is safe to use with metallic implants. When the implant is close to the foot / ankle some users notice that sensation of the electrical muscle stimulation is a little more intense. This is not common, but if it is experienced, we recommend that yous lower the intensity to a level that suits the more sensitive side.
We do offer a 60 day money back trial so if you try at and find it is not comfortable you can return it to us for a refund minus $30 postage and handling. Please feel free to call us for a chat if you would like to discuss further - 07 5443 9767.
Warm Regards, Actegy Health Australia.
