Steve S.Robo-Tek International

Hi Carol, we give a wall climbing Guarantee, but steps are a little more difficult to guarantee. The Robo-Plus will certainly give them a red hot go. Please send me a picture of the steps to steve@robo-tek.com.au and I will give you a realistic view of what you can expect the robot to achieve... ( Top step min depth needs to be 280mm.).

Good morning. We have recently appointed ETS Refrigeration The robot is DYI serviceable and we provide telephone and video support. If a major issue is identified we send you consignment notes and else have a courier pick it up from your front door and return it to melbourne where I can ensure timeliness and quality of the repair. Hi DSK. For $1860.00 you get everything you need....Twin drive motors, Caddy, remote control, it will get the fine dust, and the big leaves...(approx 4litre for debris) Wall climbing Guarantee, 3 year motor box warranty, and 2 years on the rest. It's uncomplicated, and it works. Steve

Kristen asked

Hi we are looking to buy a robot this week and are based in Adelaide, do you have somewhere to fix/service if there is an issue with the product?

1 answer
Robo-Tek International
Steve S.Robo-Tek International

Hi Kristen
We have 3 levels of support. 1. We call you/Face time you to resolve it. 2 . During the call we identify a part you need, and arrange to send it to you for DIY repair... Only basic tools required.. 3. We identify a major problem with the robot, or the control panel, an we ask you to box it up, and we send you some Consignment notes via email, you attach these to the box, and over night it is shipped to my team in Melbourne who are specialist in repairing, and customer service.... We bring it back to Melbourne, because, whist it is your robot, it is my product, and my reputation. If my team look after you, I know the repair process will be a good experience.

Hi Didier L

The RRP for the robo-plus is $1860.00 For the power, performance and after sales service that comes with it, it is worth every cent. However, some of our resellers provide better deals to existing clients. How do you stop the lead from twisting up ?

1 answer
Robo-Tek International
Steve S.Robo-Tek International

Hi Chippy, there is no reason for the cable to be tangling under normal conditions... Please check the following, and then call me for further advice. 03 9357 5662 ( even on Cup day. )

Firstly, how long have you had the unit? and has it always done this.
Have you fitted the impeller cover to the top of the robot. ( This is a Black round turret looking piece that covers the impeller blades). It plays a critical role in providing down force, that enables the sponge wheels to get sufficient traction, in order to execute the program.

The program on board is an extensive algorithm with proven features that prevents cable tangling. So please give me a call so we can see exactly what is going on, and get this sorted for you. Tangled cables is not an acceptable outcome for a Robo-tek cleaner, and we will find out the cause and solution as soon as we can have a chat about it. Looking forward to talking to you. Steve

Lubelia B.

Lubelia B.asked

Hi just wanted to know what is the difference in the wheels as most robotic cleaners have the track on the wheels and yours are smooth does it still scrub well

1 answer
Robo-Tek International
Steve S.Robo-Tek International

Hi Lubelia,
The combination of the sponge wheel surface, and the downforce on the sponge, created by the extremely power pump motor results is significant pressure of the surface been cleaned. The sponge wheels will conform to any surface, dislodging dirt, and the pump suction drags the debris into the filter bag. We have been advised by a pool resurfacer, that the sponge wheels are effective in removing a residual resin coating after he has finished his work..... And he had never seen this done before by a robot.... We fit this type of wheel because we know it works brilliantly, provides traction for climbing the shiniest of pool surfaces, and can lift dirt from difficult surfaces like the old style pebblecrete. These are more expensive, and make the robot a bit heavier when wet....But they result is a very clean pool, and at the end of the day, that is what really matters. I will mention, that it will not eliminate the need to occasionally give the water line a good scrub by hand, as body oils and sunscreen are quite difficult to remove, but it will certainly assist. if you have any other questions, or require further information, please give us a call. 03 9357 5662.

Thank you for your question .

Chartrock

Chartrockasked

We are keen caravanners and go away for a week or two and up to 3 months at a time. I am looking to purchase a 120 but the fact of having to remove it from the pool after each use means I would have to pay someone to come in every couple of days, drop the unit in the pool and hang around for an hour or two before removing and storing the unit. I had hoped to be able to leave it in the pool and have a family member come by weekly to just empty the bag. Is there any way round this?

1 answer
Robo-Tek International
Steve S.Robo-Tek International

Hi Chartrock, Its a great question, and I understand your situation....so here are some options for you.

1. Yes, you can do what you propose....But it comes with risk. The pool chemistry, and UV will attack any of the softer components... (Sponge wheels, drive bels and floating cable). Not to mention, over time ,the robot will start to fade, and look a lot older. All these things can be replaced, but its an expense you don't really need to experience.
We tell people to treat the robot like a lawn mower, and put it in the garage after use...You can leave the lawnmower out the front as well, but it too will deteriorate unnecessarily.

2. (recommended) When the people come around to check on your house, drop the robot in the pool on "Floor only" mode. This way, the floor will be clean in 30mins. By the rime the check the house out, and perhaps mow the lawn..The robot will be done.... It can then be removed, cleaned, and stored..saving you $$$ in the long run.

If there is only a bit of dirt/leaves in one section of the pool, they can use the remote to drive it to specific areas, and be done in a matter of minutes.

Hope this helps....And whilst we say option 1 can work....we certainly don't recommend it.

We are also keen caravaners.......safe travels my friend.
Steve and the team at Robo-Tek.
