My robotek pool cleaner keeps turning off after about 10 mins, and all the lights except stair climb are on

I have a Robo-Tek pool cleaner that has just stopped recognising when buttons are pushed on the main control unit. However, the cleaner still responds to the remote control.
Is this a simple diagnosis of the main power board needing replacement or is there a simple (and less expensive) fix? And yes, I could just continue using the remote but feel that maybe ignoring a more serious issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

So for some reason (this being the 2nd time it's happened) - the power box is not turning on (i.e - it's showing no power signal at all). It has been tried in different power outlets so it's definitely not a case of that. So was just wondering if there was a reason for this and a solution for this issue?

Hi Adam, It's not commons, so Twice is very unusual. It can be overheating, if there is insufficient airflow at the bak, water ingress, a loose wire, or a failed component, so without seeing it, it is difficult to know. What we do know, is its not working, so call the service team, and lets get it sorted before xmas. 03 9357 5662 option 1
Can't find a serial number on my robo plus V2. Looked in the filter area where I believe it should be and can't find it anywhere else on the machine. Help please so I can register it for warranty.

Hi I can’t get my unit to click on the wall climbing mode anymore. It does a wonderful job on the floors but can’t get it to click on the wall mode. Brian
Hi Brian, Please try the remote control to see if it is just a Panel issue on the control box. Hopefuly that will get it climbing again. Either way, let the service team know, (03 9357 5662 option 1 ) so they can arrange a permanent fix.

Hi, my Robo Tek Plus used to go all the way up to over the pools edge to clean the walls. Lately it still climbs the walls but doesn't go all the way to the top anymore. What might be the cause of this?
Hi Dave. Please make sure the impeller cover is fitted. Also put the filter bag through the washing machine to restore original performance. Failing all that call my service team 03 93575662
Hello. I have just changed the 2 tracking belts on one side of my Robo-Plus and although on the face of it everything looks Ok and in place when I tried to use it that side of the cleaner remains static while the other side goes around as it should. When I turn the wheels around manually on each side I do note that the side which is working is harder to turn around and makes a slight whirring sound, suggesting that it is engaged with more parts than the side which I 'fixed'. Am hoping the somebody might immediately know what I may have done wrong or whether there may in fact be something else broken on that part of the cleaner? Thanks

Hi, I have a Robotech Plus. It beeps four times every few minutes, and it also doesn't enter wall-climbing mode at all.
Hi Arron. Sounds like a communication fault. Could be as simple as the plug going into the control box. A bite or break in the blue floating cable or a circuit board in either the robot or control box. Suggest you contact service department after jan2 03 93575662 option 1 so they can get it sorted out. My robo plus has no water coming out the top

My Robotek was working fine yesterday but today bout 1min into cleaning it’s peeping with the the 0.5h & 2h lights are flashing. Have checked everything a couple of times and restarted but same happens. What’s the issue? Please help.
Hi Mark, the lights you mentioned flashing are walking protection, this tells us that there may be something caught around the drive belts. If you can check the workings around the belts and make sure nothing is caught, this may be from a gumnut to leaves or small twigs. My robotech roboplus is not working. It appears to have no power. I have checked supply at the GPO and all good. Please advise if there are fuses in the power cct that may have blown. Any solutions?

Yes mate it will suck the pebbles off it's that powerful. In all honesty it will work and sucks awesome just like my ex-wife.

Is this suitable to use with an abgal vinyl pool liner?
Hi Rich, Unfortunately we are unaware of the Abgal brand but, for the Robo to not damage the liner it must be at least .75mm in thickness. I suggest you follow the thickness up with the manufacturer (Abgal). Thanks Geoff
