Mowed the yard then gave the mower a hosing to get the grass and dust off it as it was the first mow.Went to start the mower following all starting proceedure and nothing happened.Has light on the ignition and head light but does not engage the starter.help.
Mower seemed to be starving for fuel and stopped, motor will crank over but won't start up ? Any idea what the problem is
Starter does not engage when I turn the key. Battery is charged. I think it may be an issue with the brake pedal switch, possibly wire disconnected.
how to replace or adjust starting censor on brake pedal of rover mini rider hydro
The engine starts to die then stops after about ten minutes of mowing.
best way to catch the oil when changing it. the plastic tube i got with the mower does not fit under the plug
Just purchased and found the mini hydro to be a great little ride on however I have the catcher fitted and have found that the catcher tube remains full of grass when finished mowing. I normally have to disconnect catcher tube and manually empty it and reconnect again. Is this normal?
Hey all just purchased a brand new Rover Mini hydro has anyone managed to bypass the reverse switch so it cuts in reverse and forwards its all ready giving me the crap.
When you start the mower return the key to the RF position and press the yellow button a red light should come on.
Has anyone noticed a loud ticking noise when cutting.
Rover hydro sounds like its running out of fuel but there is plenty
I have the same problem and found that I have to refill the tank each time it starts to surge and splutter even though it looks to be ½ full.
What engine oil to use?
cannot start rover mini rider, appears automatic choke is not working
I have little experience in the auto choke mechanism however I have discovered that the newer models of Rover machines are significantly inferior to previous productions. Clearly Rover now values profit over quality or customer satisfaction. I will replace mine with a competitors model at first opportunity.
I haven't seen this asked before (so apologies if so) and I can't find an answer in the manual...how do I take the front wheel off - it's flat ...
Undo the bolt in the centre of the wheel hub assembly. There is a corresponding nut on the inside. It’s best to regrease the bearings in wheel while it is off.
Thank you - I managed it via YouTube as I needed it done last week - the front wheels are just a plastic cap with cotter pin. I took the mower shops advice and got a tube put in :-)
How to adjust tension pto cable
Is there an easy way to fix Locked brakes on my Ride on. It's happened twice now.
I was mowing and all of a sudden it wouldn’t go when I pressed the forward lever it wouldn’t go then I pressed the reverse lever and it did nothing it’s like it’s in nutural in all the gears what do I do
Can a taller person 6ft ish be comfortable operating this?
I'm just under 6ft and not to bad pretty comfortable. You sit pretty high but beats push mowing U can have beer while mowing that's a plus.
Thanks. I’m 6 ft 2 “ starting to develop arthritis in hip and knee and the push mower leaves me limping afterwards. So hopefully I’ll not be so cramped up on this as it the others are just so expensive. Thanks for your insight. Love the idea of a beer during the mow instead of just afterwards haha
Hi. I drove down a slight slope and couldn't back up. I got off and pushed it up the slope and then found it wouldn't cut the grass in reverse even though all gear was correct. It will cut going forward but reversing, the blade doesn't run. Also I'm looking for a reasonably priced battery that I can trickle charge with so the mower is ready when I am. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. , please. Apart from this I think it is a great mower that does the job.
Where is the sparkplug
What engine oil to use
Can anyone advise on how to tension the belts? - mine have started to slip on the lowest setting or longer grass
