I just serviced my machine in Perth but it did not fix the problem. The problem is that when I turn machine on it, the water symbol (water drop) starts continuously blinking in red and nothing happens. The water does come from the steam outlet and that shows that pump is working. Please help as I live in bush and can't go every time to city. Thanks Ravi
Hi there Ravi, Thank you for reaching out to us. That sounds quite inconvenient for you. it might help to descale the Magix Deluxe as scaling can have an impact on the water flow and that might help you out. If, however that did not help you out, we advise you contact our product team directly at 1300 363 391 for Australia and 800 658 224 for New Zealand. Our colleagues there will be happy to help you out.
Kind regards, The Philips Australia Team
Repeating myself [from above] ... The water flow detector -- the first device in the water circuit following the water tank -- may be blocked. Water enters the detector through a very tiny hole to spin a turbine having an embedded magnet [i.e. Hall Effect]. This hole might be blocked. i.e. The machine expects to detect water flow within some reasonable number of seconds and in the absence of flow will blink the red water drop.

Grinder won’t stop grinding coffee. Any help?
There is usually one of two things that happen. The main controller board has malfunctioned and needs replacement. Contact agent necessary. The other reason the button can become jammed in and needs to be released. Fixing this problem requires the disassembly of the machine and both of these repairs should only be attempted by a qualified technician.
Thank you

We have an old Saeco Deluxe ( lower end super automatica ). It has been a workhorse and we have cleaned and descaled regularly with no issues. We recently noticed that newer models have a "rinse" cycle for the brewing unit. We have also seen a video of the test mode for the Plus model that can do the rinse. How can we do it with the Deluxe????

The temperature light keeps flashing even after we completely drained the tank by turning on the steam. the water via the steamer runs hot. After this the temperature light continues to flash and we can't use the machine?
Sorry Eileen can't help you with this one. Sounds like a thermostat or electrical problem. Good luck!
Hi there Eileen, that sounds odd. We'd like to look into this for you. Could you please get in touch with us at 1300 363 391? Kind regards, Philips Social Media Care
If you've not figured this out yet it may be due to having it in the "steam" mode. If the boiler plate for the steamer is hot the light will blink when you go back to regular mode, it will blink until that plate has cooled. I've found the easiest way to cool it is to turn the steam button to off then run water out of the steam wand, after 15-30 seconds it should cool the heater plate and the light will go back to green. Make your frothy milk first with the steam wand in steam mode, cool the steamer by flowing water from the wand, then make your cup of coffee. If you don't use that sequence you will be waiting some time for the flashing light to go out.
Where can I get a coffee machine like this one?
Hi there, thank you for your question. Are we correct in assuming you are based in Australia?
Hey there,
The coffee machine model I have has been superseded
Have you tried the Philips factory outlet eBay store?
I think the " royal" model is the latest version of the " magic deluxe"
Good luck, happy shopping
