Hi Samsung. i bought my Samsung J2 50 pro a couple years ago. The price was very low, around $150 Australian, which appeals to me because of low funds and fear of losing my phone (my fault, not Samsung's) and having to buy again. Fortunately, I've never lost it. It's been a great phone for the price, so thank you for providing such a basic and affordable phone. The is a, though, a longstanding problem that I'm probably causing somehow. For some reason, maybe because there are speed keys or buttons that do this, it often, for no reason I can understand, (a) goes into flight mode or (b) turns sound mode to mute, or (c) drops volume level to 0, or (d) turns on do not disturb. My wife keeps getting angry with me because she says she can never get hold of me. Can you think of anything I might be doing to cause varying ones of these 4 settings to make me unavailable. My phone screen has stopped turning on. If i hold the on/off button down it vibrates but the screen remains black. Do you know why this happens?

is this a good Rural area phone
Hi Andrew. I had a J2 pro and it did get good rural telstra reception. I have bought a recent samsung S7 telstra and it does not have as good reception (not blue tick) However the J2 is limited in storage with app downloads after their latest upgraded software. Hence my change from 16g to 32g storage. Hope this helps.

my experience is that you can have the best phone on the market. but if you are in an area with poor reception the phone wont work.

In the last two weeks I have suddenly not been able to access internet when away from home. How can I fix this?
how are you accessing the internet away from home? are you using free wifi or your mobile data? if it's mobile data you need to contact your provider. if it's free wifi I have found that it doesn't matter what phone you have. some free wifi can't be connected either because it's congested or there is an issue with the way they authenticate or some other issue. at times my sister can access the free wifi in the Westfield shopping centre and I can't.

Below is the closes link I can find. you need to create a google account. Google annoyingly won't let you use playstore without a google account. Make sure when it asks you for payment or creditcard that you select something like "voucher" I forgot what I did but i need to do it for one of my devices recently for a family member. I use Whatsapp which not only allows you to text using your device, it also allows you to sync with your pc so that you can text via pc, + you can cut/paste/store. and you can send pix that are already stored in you pc files.

I can't work out how to bring up my 'All Apps' screen from my home screen. I can't find a widgit for All Apps either on my Samsung J2 Pro. Will someone please give me some guidance on how to go about putting an All Apps widgit on my home screen, so I am able to see all my apps with "One Touch".

I suggest searching on YouTube.. I found that whenever Samsung change their OS some nice person has uploaded a video on YouTube with instructions. I just thought I'll mention it.
