My machine has a 3E error appearing. What should I do to fix this?

Phil. S

Depends on the machine but for a Samsung WF1804wpc it’s the brushes on the motor are worn out. Very cheap and easy fix. I’ve done mine twice now.

Take back off

Remove motor

Check carbon brushes

Google replacements Maybe $30

Happy days.

Why do I get suds towards the of the washing cycle???

Hyong
Hyong

I have never got that error code on my washing machine but found some answers on the Internet, external link  If your washing machine has the word "SUDS" or "SD" on the display, it has detected an over-sudsing condition, and will stop for a short period to allow the suds to dissipate. This error code is usually caused by too much detergent, or the wrong type of detergent.

my machine is leaking water from the detergent draw.Cleaned it out and still the same.

Any ideas what is going on?

It's most likely that the housing unit is cracked on the top. You need to take the top of the machine off to see this problem. I have had mine replaced 2 and now I have a pipe leaking. It's a piece of rubbish I'm sorry to say and I won't be going near another Samsung washing machine!

My 8kg Bubble Wash doesn't seem to like using Fabric Softener, there is either softener still left in the dispenser or its full of water so I can't get any softener in. It is most important for me to use softener with towels so they are soft not scratchy.

Can you advise me what is necessary to so to fix this problem? Cleaning doesn't help!

I hope you find an answer Annette!! When I used a liquid detergent in my Samsung 8kg, half of it was left behind, or the dispenser full of water, just like you described. I never used fabric softener, so can't help you there. Powder in the main dispenser seemed to work better.

I got rid of my Samsung and now have an LG, which I am extremely happy with.

Best of luck,

Sascha :)

HI Annette, I have the same problem and I've pulled it apart to clean it and it still doesn't work. I wondering if this is a fault with the machine.

My wife was using the washing machine and while the machine was operating a little red highlighted padlock appeared above the control dial . We have tried to empty it to no avail also tried pushing the two buttons for the kiddy lock with no success . Can anyone help?

The lock sign means that you cant open the door - I havent had that issue - Have you turned off the power and tried the program again? I have attached the link to the manual but cant see any thing that helps. Your timing was interesting as my Samsung was picked up today after a horrible history, 4 cracked lids, leaks at the front right, door hinge failing. The company finally conceded it was a lemon and I received a full refund 18 months old, I reminded them that the machine was not fit for purchase by Australian standards. This machine caused me a lot of grief- the operators on the phone were pleasant but refused to pass me to supervisors etc when issues were not being resolved. The service man did a full check and also identified that the bearings in the gearbox/motor were shot. Resorted to a top loader. PS The machine was awesome if you ignore the constant vibrations and house shaking. Dont be put off Samsung products - I think mine was just a dud.

As kalorama mentioned, the padlock symbol means the door is locked (not the child lock). Did you lose power during the wash? I lost power during one wash and when the power came on about 10 minutes later the machine was in a similar state (lock symbol ON & machine full of water). I just pressed the start button again and it continued from where it was up to and finished the cycle as per normal (I was very impressed). Maybe just press the start button and see what happens.

If it still won't go then switch it OFF/ON at the power point as well & see if you can re-start it then. Apart from that you might have to manually drain the machine (the instructions are in the manual that comes with the machine). After you drain enough water out the machine should release the door. Let us know what you find. Good luck.

Buy a new washing machine, these things are garbage.

Hi I know this is a bit late but the machine will not UNLOCK if there is still water in the bowl. You would normally turn the power off and back on them restart it by selection the same or another cycle option. If you need to remove water whilst it is stuck like this then remove the bottom right panel and remove the drain plug. Problem fixed.

As far as I'm aware ALL front loaders have this safety LOCK function so you don't end up with water all over your floor because someone opened the door mid-cycle.

I have just purchased this model of samsung front loader washing machine (wf1804WPC). I have had it balanced 3 times (using spirit level for each direction), when it gets to its rev up to 1400 spin (on various cycles) it goes for a walk and is very noisy. I have tried a small load and a normal load, paused and restarted and various cycles. Is there a solution or what would people recommend. This is my first front loader. Also the symbols on the front of the machine are not described in the manual, nor is a full description of what each cycle consists of. I am a bit of a technophobe but surely it shouldn't be this hard, my last machine was a simple set and forget? thanks in anticipation, Julianne (Feb 2014)

Have you taken the transit bolts out of the back of the machine? They are 4 big bolts in the 4 corners on the back of the machine. There is a spanner in with the instruction manual. If you have taken these out I would contact samsung customer care or the place of purchase.

We have similar problems but the probable cause is a sandstone tile floor ( on a timber base). The best bet I have found so far is to purchase the anti vibration blocks at say Bunnings which seem to absorb much of the vibrations. It still walks a bit but short of pouring a 50 mm concrete slab we have learnt o live with it... Its predescessors also had a tendency to wander. They were botch front loaders.. ** also keep an eye on the top lid which we found developed cracks in the corners in the first month before Samsung replaced the top panel - since then no problems

** I resorted to purchasing a concrete paving slab - It still vibrates and shakes the shoes out of the house- See my 15 months on review just posted.
