I have a Simpson SWF10832 washing machine. Are the screws on the hinge of the door attaching the door to the body of the machine clock wise or anti clockwise to take off the door?

You probably had water still in the drum, turn your dial to drain let it run for couple minutes when it finishes the door lock light goes off the door should open.

I drained it, same same. The machine was four years old and has been dripping rust stains from behind the control panel for over a year - we live 1.5km from the coast. Plus the bolts/screws that hold the anti shake restraints at the bottom had come out and I had previously replaced them with screws though not satisfactory and the machine shook like all hell broke loose on the spin cycle. So I dismantled it and cut the rubber door tunnel off to get the wash out. I was amazed at the grunge in the rubber tunnel.

I won't buy another Simpson machine.

I have an 8.0 kg SW10832 is causing power to go out in the house when in cycle

Can you provide some advise as to what could be the cause and how to fix?

Thanks

Tony1515

It sounds like your machine has an electrical issue or an earth short. It's something which you need to get a service person to look at. There's definitely an electrical fault which needs to be fixed. I would also try running the washing machine from another power point. Get an extension lead and plug it into another power point just to make sure there is no issue with the power point or the line that you are using for the washing machine.

Simpson ezi set 7.5kg simple wash

After 18 months this has stopped completing wash cycle. It shows 'error'. Moving washing in barrel incase it just needs rebalance still does not allow it to restart and continue cycle. So only way to complete wash is to put on drain and spin, then rinse and spin.

This is very frustrating and disappointing as I have been a keen Simpson customer since 2001.

How can this be fixed. I live in Whanganui, New Zealand.

I have had this machine for 2 years and worked perfectly on my 20 minute quick wash cycle.

Now it gets to last 4 mins and just makes noise only. I then have to put it to the rinse only cycle which is 13 minutes and doesn't do too much just interminite rinses then stops at 1 minute with just humming sound and won't go any further, The only way to open the door is to then put to drain cycle 2 minutes....the clothes are not spun properly..... Any ideas?

It sounds like your machine needs to be looked at. Sorry, but I don't think it's a simple fix.

I have a new Simpson front loader 7kg. I want to do a quick cold wash but I can't choose cold water. And I can't select the highest spin. TIA Kerry.

Tony1515

My Simpson, on the 30 minute fast wash, washes clothes at 30 (temp) and a spin of 800 rpm. You can't adjust the preset temperature but I find that it's a good setting for washing quickly. Washes clean every time - no fluff or lint and clothes are pretty dry. If you want to change to another wash program with cold and whatever spin speed - you easily can but the time will increase. Unfortunately that's the only drawback with this machine but I'm happy with the preset 30 min wash.

When ours did that is was a circuit board that needed replacing. The service man had to come out. They were very efficient though at booking him.

Has anyone else had any issues with this machine just stopping mid-cycle?

My son purchased this about 18 months ago and it seems to run intermittently. Part way through the cycle, it seems to just stop. Help please.

Hi, my brand new Simpson SWF12843 front loader washing machine that i bought last Tuesday does a weird rubber sound from the door seal/gasket for about 5 seconds then stops & i've noticed it's not very quiet during a spin cycle with a load but it's super quiet when it's empty on spin cycle! Washes well & is quiet during the wash cycles.

Our Simpson 45S710E front loader is getting noisy and unbalanced during the spin cycle. Perhaps new shocks required. Is this worth doing, or is a new machine a better solution?

The Simpson SWF10832 we bought for $499 so i think labour and the actual part would nearly end up the same. We have had ours now for 4 months, it has never gone out of balance or done anything strange, it normally runs twice a day, so lots of use in that time.

Hi Darren we are also getting the e10 message but this is after we finished a load and tried doing another one. I have checked the water supply and water is going through the hose buy won't go into the machine and do you think I can find a service manual as it is only just out of warranty. The link on the Simpson website does not work.
