I have been trying to get an answer from Hawk appliances with regard to my Swift 500 series gas/electric cooktop and grill. Unfortunately Hawk does not seem to be very adept at replying to customer enquiries. The burner in the grill section of my unit has collapsed and rattled around inside the grill compartment. The ignition probe and the flame sensor have been damaged. The bracket, which I assume holds the burner, was located in the bottom of the grill compartment. The very poor spot welds that are supposed to hold this bracket in are clearly visible as the failure point. I have been advised that this is a common fault and I need to know what options I have with regard to rectification of this issue.

Our Swift 500 cooker inner glass of the oven door has suddenly shattered. Oven has never been used but is a pre 2019 model. Is it possible to get a replacement and, if so, where do I get one? How difficult is it for a handyman to replace?
Can you use a swift 500 grill as an oven in an caravan
Have a swift 500 series, upright stove in caravan , three gas, one 240 volt solid cook top. Turn power on to #1 it heats up OK but turn it on to higher settling, blows fuse. Do you think the element needs replacing or is there a short in the wiring in the stove. Many thanks Mick
Our Swift 500 is not sparking (no clicking sound) anymore. Can light the burners ok with a lighter. Any help appreciated
Gavin Im wondering if you managed to fix your shorting wire? We have a wire that’s shorting out under the cooktop and can’t work out how to remove the top to access the wire?

I have a 500 series in our 2011 van. I cannot work out how to remove the stovetop pot stand / grate to clean the stove top. Any clues as to how to undo the hooks holding it down please?
How is the s/s oven gas at the base of the oven reinstated and fixed after cleaning. Photo may be helpful

Hi we have a swift stove in our caravan top elements and grill only no oven. Year 2015. All elements work on top of stove but suddenly grill won’t light either with switch or with a lighter. Any advice would be appreciated as we are on three month trip. Thank you
Not able to ignite burners, everything seems fine up and until cook top. I’m thinking safety switch or solenoid but unable to access Would like some advice on this problem
I have a Swift 500 cooktop. So many problems, but most serious is that when the griller is used to cook toast, the knobs for the gas top burners sieze. If they are on they cannot be turned off. It comes good when the griller cools off. I suspect a common fault. I have tried contacting Swift but they just ignore my emails. Does anyone else have this problem before I refer it to the safety regulators? Also the heat from the back burner has charred the benchtop even though it appears to be installed in accordance with the instructions.. Has this been a problem elsewhere?
Thank you. I’m glad I’m not the only one. We had a gas fitter look at our stove in Melbourne in February because of the flames. He recommended us not to use it and take it to swift. We went to swift and they took the stove out and a hour later come back with it and told us they changed the knobs their gas fitter checked it said it was all good. Now we have this problem of the knobs seize when we use the grill. Very dangerous. And the flames are no better still all different colours. Thinking about putting it in the bin and get a new stove and it won’t be a swift.
Sorry to hear your are having problems too Kerry. I have also had the problem that the back burner has charred the benchtop even though the stove is correctly installed, thus a potential fire hazard. Please check yours. Also the large back burner would not stay alight. Swift provided a free replacement thermocouple but installation at my expense and it didn't fix it. I know how to fix it but swift needs to redesign the burner in my opinion. Also the valve that closes off the gas when the lid is down gathers dust on dirt roads and seizes. It probably needs a dust cap but I'm not sure I should modify the stove. I still have no replies from the principal of the company so I guess I will build some more evidence and see if the safety regulators are interested.
I cannot start our Swift 500 series oven or grill in our 2022 caravan. The van is 12 months old, we are the second owners and the racks are still wrapped in plastic so it hasn't been used. Valves are open, ignition is sparking, hot plates work but there isn't even the smell of gas when trying to light the oven or grill. Any suggestions appreciated!

The hot plates worked last I used it but hadn't tried oven. After a bit of googling, I wondered about the safety cutoff. Sure enough, it worked first try once I lifted the cooktop cover. Thinking when I tried oven, the cover must've been down...Captain Obvious strikes again!
Is there a main power switch for electric hotplate on swift 500 stove. As I have one in my 2018 Concept Ascot when I turn know on at the front hot plate doesn't go on. Thanks Derrick
The hotplate is 240v so providing it is connected to mains power is should work as long as the 240v plug located at the rear of the cooktop is connected
