Have you got it wet or dirty at all? Obviously checked settings etc. Turned phone off then on again? Otherwise would say it was a damaged port.

My T85 tells me that the headset is plugged in when it is not . This results with no incoming sound during phone call unless speaker turned on. Also keypad is silent when inserting number. I have restarted phone several times and inserted the headset plug also. Ken

I purchased a Telstra Tough Max 2 just over two years ago, over the past 8 months I have been having problems with no network coverage. I have tried resetting the phone sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't, I have been blaming the signal coming from the tower, but after reading the reviews, I am thinking it may be that the phone is faulty. I did take it back to the Telstra shop where I purchased it from, before it ran out of warranty, they told me they could send it away to have it checked, but then I would have no phone until it came back, they told me they could not provide me with a loan phone, so have been battling with this phone & intermittent no service....EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!! Can anyone help me???

Hubby on his third one within warranty, and will still only work when he takes the extra telstra sd card out. They cant seem to tell us what it was in there for. So try that if you havent already.

is this phone Locked to telstra ?

I'm not sure. We are Telstra (Mobile) customers for over 40 years. Always been Te;lstra to give us better country coverage. This is why I purchased the T85, for the rear antenna port. It didn't seem to fit my patch lead from day 1

My tough max 2 is no longer letting me pull down the tool bar from the top and will not show any notifications. The centre home button at the base of the phone and the button to the right of it have stopped functioning. Does anyone know a solution to this? How do a I reset setting without wiping the phon? I thought that might fix it but I dont know how to do it.

I have had the same problem with three phones now, I have already had two replaced, resetting etc doesn't fix the issue, Telstra had to provide me with brand new phones

If you take the back case off and take of the battery and daughter board off you can see the buttons for the phone and if all of the buttons are good follow the cord to the mother board and take of the case and make sure it is pluged in properly I don't know about the drop down menu tho

Why does my Tough Max 2 say no network when I try to use it at home? It says no SIM card detected. Phone is about 2-3 weeks old and I've not been able to make one call.

sounds like two options faulty device or faulty sim. I the device is ok it sounds like the sim is not contacting have you tried a different sim and or different network. the device if purchased from telstra is configured to work on their network so its will not perform well on other networks in my experience. best of luck I still like the form or the device but know I will ahve to replace it sooner rather than later.

This happpend to me so I just took the sim out and put it back in and restarted the phone that fixed it

This is a new release phone but wondering if anyone has a review yet?

brian

There's a few reviews here and they don't seem to be good so far so don't think I'm going to bother

Teggie

Actually I have one and no issues with it. Also many of my neighbours have these and no issues.. We are country victoria and need the coverage that it brings. And then one of the reviews above is clearly the guy not understanding that a Telstra specific device will only work properly on the Telstra network. 4G Voice is configured for Telstra use and that just leaves 3G voice and between Telstra and Optus they only share 3G 2100MHz which is a filler frequency today. If you drop a phone and you crack the screen it is your issue. I have even seen Mil Spec devices crack their screens so anti scratch and anti bacteria screens are what we get on these sorts of handsets. I don't have a cracked screen as I try to not drop it. Plus I don't always have it in my hand to be able to drop it.

Bought the original telstra tough maximum t84 and wasn't impressed with the mobile phone device in the least bit though, this new version might be alright like the other answer stated though, won't know for sure unless actually buy and give it a try.
