Need a new charger for my vax Atractivo stick Model VST144VL
I hVe the above model a few years love it but lately I can't seem to garage it it is plugged in always but at minute the lights are green all the time but no more power is there a battery if so can it be changed. Thank you sorry charge it.
The contacts to the charger might be out. Squeeze the vacuum to the charger, or pressed various parts of the vacuum to the charger, and see whether the red charging light comes on. Mine always shows a green light, so I tie it firmly until the red charging light comes on

My battery is not charging it goes on green I go to vacuumed and it stops it’s been on charge all night. Any help?
I have not had any trouble with my vax charging. I think that possible you may have a faulty machine so I would take it back to where you purchased it. Sorry I couldn't help you.
The contact might be worn. What i do is strap the cleaner to the charging cradle tightly, the two red charging lights should come on.
Is this item good for polished wooden floors? I don't want to scratch the floors!
Unfortunately, my floors are either laminate or carpet. So, I cannot advise you. It didn't scratch my laminate floating floor.
My Vax is constantly red when on charge, never turns green. Am I doing something wrong?
Are you sure that the vax is sitting in the "cradle" properly. Mine is red after using it but turns green after the vax has re-charged. Otherwise you may have a faulty cradle and I would take it back to where it was purchased.
I've had a Vax Spirit for years and I still love it. Lost my manual and can't remember if you let the power run down every time before you recharge. I usually just plug it back in every time I have used it. Your advice would be apprectiated. Regards, Robin Johnston
Hi, I re-read my manual of the Vax and it doesn't say anything about letting the charge run out completely before re-charging again. It does say "Once vacuuming tasks are complete, return unit to the main body and place back into the charging base." It also says for initial charge allow 11 hours. When charging is complete, the indicator light will show green. I hope this has helped you. Thank you. Cheers Lesley
What is the running timeworn out recharging?
Hi Jan, I have never run out of power with the vax if it is fully charged but I think from memory it has about 20 minutes of running power. I have enough power to do my lounge room and two bedrooms. I have not had to use my vacuum cleaner since I have bought the vax. I hope this has helped you. Cheers. Lesley Gregor
