The turbo head of the Vax Pet Pro has again broken off; it no longer attaches to the steel tube. This is the 2nd time it has happened and to replace it means paying a lot of money. Where to buy good alternatives?
Return it if still under warranty or chuck & buy whatever you will be happy with, but not another one of these

Just got mine fresh out the box and for some reason won’t stay on when I turn starts for a bit then shuts off
Return it to where you bought & get a refund would be my answer
Why does the back filter keep blowing of my Vax pet pro vx74 as soon as I start vacuuming
Brand new and it won't stay on. I push the big power on button ALL the way down, the motor spools up to speed and then goes off when I release the button.
I have not had that problem. Mine simply doesn’t clean up as it should. It also gets clogged really easily meaning that I have to open everything up just to empty it even when the barrel is not full. Then the interior barrel falls off whilst vacuuming. So each vacuum requires a lot of stopping and putting things back together. I have complained to Vax and they have informed me to return to The Good Guys. I’m trying to find the time to go and exchange this vacuum cleaner for another.
How do you get the brush out to clean it
My vacuum cleaner suddenly stopped I discovered there was a suction blockage which I have now cleared but am unable to restart my Pet Vax What else can I do to restart my vacuum cleaner??
My turbo tool does not correspond to the one in the manual. Mine has 4 screws which I removed but I cannot get the parts to separate to clean it. It had stopped working
OMG worse vacuum ever!!! Do i really need to clean the filters after every vacuum?? It never sux enough and it makes this vupf vupf noise, like a heart beat rhythm.
Can you buy filters for them
Yes. Bunnings have a filter pack, Vax Power 7 filter pack, I/N 4470502, $31.00. Genuine Vax. The round canister filter is washable, the rectangular HEPA paper filter at the rear of the machine is not.
How to oprate
My vax pet pro is 18 months old and the turbo head has stopped working. Also I have changed the filters 3 times. Has anyone else had these problems?
I've had my vax for just under a year and the Turbo head has stopped working. Is this a common problem?
The Turbo head is turned by the suction of the vacuum cleaner - Cleaning the washable filter and replacing the HEPA filter got my turbo head moving again.
Bought Pet Pro today, no instruction manual. What are all the attachment for? Surely there is a booklet on how to use it?

How to pull it apart to clean?
Hi Sally, do you mean pulling the vacuum head off the handle to change the head over? If so, you need to get a good grip on the head and twist it with one hand while using the other hand to twist the handle. It is a bit hard but it should come off - if not see if someone stronger can try it.
If you mean how to empty the barrel, I actually haven't needed to do this yet but I'm sure there is a button you need to press - it's probably in the instruction manual.
