Why is my Volta Vortex after many years, now blowing outwards from the rear instead of vacuuming through the house and head?
I can't get into or underneath of the vacuum max to min power button which has jammed? How do I do it? Or does it need pulling completely apart, I want to fix it , it is a good machine I don't know what the others are taliing about all you have tom do with your machine is clean it thoroughly after each use. Its that simple.
My vacuum has been great however it stopped during use. Not sure what's wrong. Not back on..
If you leave it to cool down it shoould work fine. If not its probably burnt out.
Last week on the 7th June 2015 I purchased a Volta Vortex U4015f and it makes an extremely loud high pitched squealing noise when running. Is this normal? I have to wear ear plugs when I vacuum. Please help me.

I just opened my Volta Vortex vacuum cleaner to clean the HEPA filter and the instructions are a-miss it seems, I only have a frame with a paper like filter and there has never been any covering gauze like material to wash. This is my second time cleaning it and the vacuum cleaner fails to hit 'turbo' mode with the red light coming on when the filter I have in mine is brutally clogged. Have I not been given all the parts on purchasing my vacuum cleaner? The paper like framed filter is totally clogged with dust and dander and hair and 1000's and thousands... I cannot just 'tap away' the dust onto a piece of paper. I have the brand new spare filter ready to go, but am I only going to run into the same problem? Please enlighten me

Can i wash the filter under warm water and if so do i let it dry in the shade?
Absolutely! In fact I wash the filter in warm soapy water with a stiff brush and dry it in the sun. Every month or so I spray with a Karcher high pressure water cleaner - it really cleans away every molecule of dust.
filter is terrible as mentioned at most reviews clogs soon after it has been replaced and we got no carpet one rug 3m square and timber floor works great when filter clean is there a different brand of filter or update of it as we are using the original ones
It is a shocking design as a key part has probably been grown out when you cleaned the machine. Find a merchant to get a replacement and don't buy another one of their machines. Tell everyone it is a terrible design

When I pull out the cord the cord keeps retracting back in. Any reason as to why this might be doing this? I've only had this product for around 8 months.

It states in the instruction manual (U4015) - If necessary, the HEPA filter and frame can be washed with cold water under a tap (wash from the underside not the topside). My question, which side is which? There is no illustration in the manual or the manufacturer's web site to show this.

Disappointed recently with my Vortex 2200W U4015F purchased invoice S100304474 online 6/09/2012 Account No C00215407. It is making very high pitched sounds and losing suction. When turned off and on it temporarily resolves the issue but problem becomes more frequent.It has only been used fortnightly by one person in a small house with very basic cleaning needs.

My Volta was brilliant for 5 minutes.. Now it sucks all the dirt straight into the air filter and doesn't stay in the dirt reservoir .. I clean it within an inch if its life and then it happens again.. Help??
I can't help you. Mine did the same, in fact two models
