My CFX 40W leaked water onto my lounge carpet without my knowing while working on mains but since has not shown any leaks. It was in normal mode - not emergency. When I cleaned the carpet the fibres of the carpet (wool) were rotted and came off as I was cleaning. The Dometic CFX has been in the laundry working since and has worked perfectly - no leaking onto the floor. Has anyone got any idea what happened?
I have 40ltr waeco, which has been working well until now
Mt Cfx40w is freezing everything even when set to 6 degrees. Any ideas?? And it's also set to normal, not emergency over ride. Cheers
what is the best 12 volt battery to run a waeco CF-50 portable fridge, Purchased in 2006. The manual says it uses 7.0A
My Waeco digital board won't display though the interior light is on? It's a CFX- 40 FRIDGE FREEZER.
The PCB (Printed Circuit Board), that is located beneath that top panel, may have a faulty digital readout. If so, these PCBs are easy enough to buy & replace yourself. Failing that, if you go through a fridge mech, that may cost you an inspection fee to find out what's wrong plus repair costs. Either way you'll have to decide if it's cost effective to repair the fridge or replace it.
I bought my Waeco fridge late 2017 because they had a "good" name and it failed early 2023. My upper PCB needed replacing & my fridge still doesn't work. I wont be buying another Waeco.
Waeco cf40 with 7 LEDs on control panel runs but can’t control temperature. LEDs continuously cycle up and down.
My frig wont work on 12v, works ok on 24v. On 12v the green light comes on the compressor runs for a short while then stops.
I have the waeco CFX40. The display won't move of 35. The compressor is working overtime and going into freeze mode. Any thoughts?
Hi my 2 year old Cfx 40 is all of a sudden not displaying anything at the control panel. It still runs and freezes everything if you plug it in but no sign of anything we're you adjust the temp etc
Won't go below 14degrees
Part of the number display has not been working for some time, its not a problem if you can work out what its ment to show, just now when its ment to be on 4 or even 10 deg its frezzing everything both on 240v and 12v
The display is only showing part of the number but the fridge was still operating ok until today then it stopped. Now it is going again. what is the most likely problem.
I have a Waeco CFX 40. If the power is dropped off, 12 or 240 volt, it defaults to - 22 degrees when it is repowered. The thermostat works fine once it is reprogrammed back to the correct setting. My question is, do they have a small internal memory battery for remembering the most recent thermostat setting. I would appreciate some constructive, knowledgeable assistance.
PBC board is faulty and needs replacement like many others.
Can you please give me a quote on replacement parts posted to 2870?
Are theses fridges reliable for 2 weeks a year use? Do the PBC boards have long or short life span?
It was explained to me the problems I was having with my fridge which I did not always understand, but there were multiple problems, over the three years I had the fridge I had very little service from it, sorry I couldn't answer your question better.
The fridge is cutting out /wont start when running on 12v. These types of fridge usually have a cut off if the voltage gets below 11.8v but Ive checked the battery voltage and its 12.4v, and its still not working. I also checked with my other Waeco fridge on the same battery and cable and it does work. what can i do to solve this problem ?
I also have the same problem with my cfx40, I tested voltage on batteries, socket and even cable once plugged in. All supplying 12.4-12.6 v but fridge keeps turning off unless plugged into 240 or solar.
I am another owner of one of these and even on LOW setting the fridge won’t run even at 12.9v. Useless if you want to run it on batteries only.
Just purchased a cfx40 and switched it on and se temp to -1C and now blue display says it’s sitting on -17C ?
Check the emergency override switch next to the usb. It will run compressor at full capacity, switch to normal mode.
Thanks was switched to emergency override
Do all Waeco CFX40 model units have wifi?
Only CFX40W has wi-fi, CFX 40 doesn't have
