With 7 series, how do I detach the handle with the live parts within sticker and attach the hand tool

I have a wertheim series 7 vaccumm, i have changed bags but the vaccumm is still saying full, how can i fix this
Hi Gloria, We are sorry to hear of any issues you are experiencing with your machine. The bag sensor will indicate when the motor is not received efficient airflow, this is mainly caused by a full back but can also be triggered by a blockage and if the filters are due for replacement. We would recommend checking the head, rod, hose and filters of he machine for blockages. It is also recommended to replace the filters every 1-2 years. If all areas have been checked/filters recently replaced and you are still experiencing issues, we would advise to take the machine into your nearest Godfreys store for further inspection and assistance. Hi Gloria, The advice given by the Wertheim guys is correct. When I had my old ET 2000, I always made sure the machine was clean. By that I mean, changing filters, making sure I didn't have over full bags and wiping down the inside where the bag is installed every now and then.. by doing that my old vacuum cleaner lasted over 10 years. I would maybe recommend that you get compressed air or an "Air Duster", available from Bunnings and blow around the gauge that is saying full....It has worked for me in the past. I would also recommend you buy a series 7 diverter. Since I have been using one, I never have to empty bags and you will be surprised how much dust, you will see, when you use one. I hope this has helped.
My series 7 power head has stopped working.. Any ideas as to what U can do with it?
Hi Sharyn, If is is just the brush that is not rotating, this would most likely be the belt needing to be replace. If the motor in the head is not running, this may be a connection issue, PBC fault or even a fault with the motor in the head. We would recommend taking the machine into your nearest Godfreys store, they can assist with a replacement belt or book the machine in for assistance with the other issues. Regards, The Wertheim Team

I had to take apart the hose to remove a blockage and when I put all of the pieces back together with the screws there is a gap between the nozzle and the base, exposing the gold band. How do I fix this?

I have a W7 and the extension tube keeps collapsing to minimum length. I have moved their cuff back and forth but as soon as I start to vacuum it collapses again. what causes this?
Could have dirt in the slider or need a new wand.

Hi Kay, The rod is extended and retracted by pushing the cuff up or down (as shown by the arrows) the rod will then be able to be pulled or pushed to extend or retract. Regards, The Wertheim Team

I have an old 5030 that I'm not quite prepared to give up yet.. machine itself is fine, I'm just looking to replace the rod & now the hose. Curious to know whether parts for the 5035 series 7, will fit my 5030?? 32 or 35ml?? I don't necessarily need the power head power to work, i just need functional rod that will extend & new hose. You can get rods at Godfrey’s but they don’t make hoses anymore you might have to buy an old one of gumtree.

Adam's comment above is a good idea - you may have luck sourcing from second hand from eBay, Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace.

Hi again. Cheers for the replies. I tried Godfrey's to nil avail.. both discontinued they said. Have sussed online already & happy to purchase from there, but I'm still needing to know if the newer models are then same diameter as the 5030?? There's a 5035 rod avail on eBay, can't purchase till i figure out if it will fit. 35 or 32ml? Same with the hose.. do the newer hose/nozzle to vac..do the newer ones fit the older vac's? Put a 5 cent piece done the hose rod and head. You check the back filter has to be replaced every 1 to 2 years.

5 cents down the hose it could be partially blocked and new back filters. Should be changed 1 to 2 years depending on use. Could have a blockage in the head or rod. There is a white filter behind the bag that might be another one to look at. If it’s not making a higher than normal noise take to Godfrey’s for them to once over it.

You can take the back filter out an run it too, as a quick check to see if the suction comes back. They also come with 5 free services you can space 2 years apart from when you bought it.

You can get a cheap blower from super cheap or bunnings that works better than blowers on vacuums.
Is this product suitable for hard floors?
Yes, really good comes with 3 heads and all can do hard floors. With the power head you just turn it off on the handle. But it also comes with a turbo hard floor tool and a standard vac head.
Hi, my Wertheim vacuum power head stopped working, the front light on it turned off and it stopped vibrating and spinning. Why could this be? And it's just been for a service a few months ago, we have only used it about 4 time since it been serviced and we had no trouble before the service.

why are the blue lights on while I am vacuuming I use the bypass tube all the time and the bag is not full
Hi Vicki, This light is also an indication if there is a blockage in the machine, we would recommend to check the head, rod and hose of the machine.
