Westinghouse WMF4102SA (Stainless Steel) Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPNs: 36567476 and WMF4102SASince buying this microwave 4 months ago we have noticed 'bubbling' appearing on the Start button on the control panel. There is also peeling at the top left hand corner of the control panel. Is this a fault? Or is there a protective film present on the Control Panel that is now bubbling/peeling, which needs to be removed? We removed the protective film around the body of the microwave on installation, as it was obvious to the naked eye.
We had the same problem not long after purchase, And now it’s a lot worse, but it doesn’t seem like it’s a protective film. Did you end up peeling it off?
In our case, we took the microwave back to the store to ask because we didn't want to risk ruining it! The sales assistant said that it was a protective film (on the control panel) and to just peel it off. I did it right there in the store just in case but sure enough, off it came. I don't know if this is the same problem that you have but that was our experience. If it's under the 12 month warranty you could always take it back to the store and check first...
Thanks for this - I had the same issue and was getting ready to lodge a warranty claim when I found this post. Sure enough it was a piece of protective film that was bubbling and which I have now removed.
