Why control panel switches off after few second of it being plugged in

Zodiac

Hi Camille, If the control box is shutting off then it is likely that there is a fault with the cleaner or the control box. Try plugging it into a different power socket to make sure that isn't the issue.

If it is still not working then you will need a technician to assess it to determine what exactly is causing this.

If the cleaner is in warranty then please lodge a warranty claim so that we can organise a repair for you, otherwise contact your local pool technicians for an assessment and a potential repair.

Kind Regards, Zodiac Australia

Every time l use my EX4000 iQ lately the dirty canister light appears, about halfway through a cleaning cycle. Seems to sit at idle with aprox 1hr 15min to go. So l retrieve pool cleaner, remove filter canister and thoroughly clean, although there is hardly any debris fit back submerge cleaner. Reset by turning power off wait a minute turn back on, dirty canister light goes out. Run cycle again same error occurs. Gets very frustrating any suggestions how to fix this issue?

It doesn't take much muck for the machine to think that the cannister is full. Just a thin coating of algae, dust etc on the filter material is enough for it to call in a full cannister. The machine uses the power draw of the propeller to make this call, so it doesn't take much to get the annoying 'full' alert. I'd be happier if there was a more coarse filter grade basket that would allow me to pick up all the leaves and make the pool look good then I'd happily go back to cleaning up the unseen dust etc. I get the impression that the Zodiac cleaners prefer a freshly vacuumed pool to be happy - strangely I think that defeats the purpose of having one of these cleaners.

I lodged a service request a few months ago. Six weeks ago it was acknowledged. How long should I wait for a repair? I note my cleaner has been out of action for most of the last year because of this and one other warranty related problem.

Why won’t my zodiac lift from pool. It’s brand new. Do I have to have it connected to internet? Or could the control panel be to far from pool?

Bought this a month ago when pool installation was nearly finished, started running it 4 days ago on the smart cycle first then smart cleaning and it’s really getting annoying that we paid a fair bit for this cleaner just to check it every few minutes and finding it stuck when climbing steps. I’ve even watched it for 5 minutes (excitement plus lol) and it wasn’t budging. We have to keep gently pushing it off the steps. Is there a solution like swapping out the wheels for tracks?

Hi Des, Thanks for your inquiry. It seems the stair width means the EX6000IQ cleaner is not getting all its 4WD traction to reverse back down from the stair. If you reduce the amount of times you select the FLOOR/WALL cycle and use FLOOR only this will reduce the robotic getting stuck on your stair. If the EX6000IQ cleaner connected to WIFI there was a new firmware released, version 41 a few months ago with some ability changes. This firmware update might also help.

Hi Raj, Thanks for your inquiry. All robotic cleaners are a good investment to help clean your pool. Some of the key features from the new EvoluX cleaners are WIFI controlled so setting timer schedules can be helpful. The iAquaLink app is free to download. It also comes with a new Sensor Nav System that maps your pool to optimise cleaning paths. Lastly, the patented Lift System helps remove the cleaner from the pool without the weight of the water and to prevent pulling the cable that can damage the connection to the motor. 3 Year warranty backed by in-field service from Zodiac.
