technology did not keep up to date with the other banks, their deposit rates became less competitive and they went also through a period some years ago of ridiculous pedanticism re the balances maintained in offset accounts.
I was pleased to hear earlier this year that they were upgrading their platforms to ME Go, but......While they provided plenty of information in advance, it was simply impossible to contact them. I forgot my new Internet Banking password and rather foolishly got myself locked out of my internet banking.
While my screen message said ring 13 15 63 to sort it out, I simply couldn't get through - and I ended up waiting over 10 days (which included the Easter break- either roster call centre staff on over the break or don't launch a major upgrade 4-5 days before Easter) before I could get through and then waited 75 mins when I could. Each time I waited, I kept getting the message -we're getting a high volume of calls and will be with you shortly...It can't be that hard to buy the technology that other companies use that give a minutes estimate and/or the option of being called back.
The new technology is okay- it's great to have Osko, albeit long after other banks, but is still clunky in some areas eg when you get a code sent by SMS for 2FA you have to get out of the ME Go app to check the message/code which isn't necessary with the other two banks that I use.
Very disappointed in ME's poor responsiveness and service during the transition, not sure I'll stay with them.

by calling solicitors for settlement date. The only human contact numbers available make you wait minimum of 30 mins to put you throught to new MEGo line 2hr9mins and then error message please call again. Make sure you have an AFCA account you will need it to get any response. Online feedback form no response after 48 hours. It is now over a week since initial complaint. They have just been dreadful since BOQ acquisition. The only comforting thought is they will all be AI'd out of existence

ME Bank my travel details but it is proving impossible. For many hours over at least 3 days I have tried to use the "Live"chat function on the app but I keep getting a message saying something went wrong, try again later. I have also phoned them twice, the 1st time was on hold for over 1 hour before giving up and then the next day stayed in hold for 1 1/2 hours before giving up again. I have lodged a complaint with them via their website but again have not heard anything back from them. I am astonished that a bank can be this pathetically bad and treat its customers so badly.
Is everyone working from home today?I rang to enquire about my term deposit and was told that there is a 30 minutes wait on the phone?

and need to take it back or my credit limit will be suspended. I always pay back on time and have never been ask to take back those few extra bucks which would be spent soon anyway. We talking about credit card, yes?! Today I got another SMS warning me that my credit card limit is going to be suspended in July, month from now, and my credit card cancelled mid August. And, sure enough, to repay all outstanding rates before they close my account. Seriously?? First, I couldn't believe then I thought: must be a spam, fake, fraud whatever but not for real. Of course I called ME customer service and was waiting over 40 minutes before I hang up. Later afternoon, same day, I call again and waited well over 20 minutes before I got a nice lady to talk to. When I explained my concerns she assured me that it was true, my credit card is about to be permanently closed. When I asked what would be the reason as I know I did nothing wrong she bluntly replied: we are closing all Frank cards and I can't tell you details because we haven't been told. Still in shock, I asked why I haven't got an email or where on their website customers can read details she answered even more mysteriously: I'll lodge your complaint in writing to my boss... I don't think anyone needs my explanation why I'm now leaving ME bank and closing all of my accounts with them

The best – Lost my job indefinitely due to the virus ME bank has bent over backwards and gone beyond what I expected to help me out . Would never deal with any other financial institution...They are the best !!!
