Vornado 660
NOISY NOISY NOISY. Not sure about circulating air. Overpriced. Ridiculously difficult to clean.

Worth the money for the long term! – I've got the DC model and had it 4 months, it's been on almost 24 hours a day in that time as I live in a small place and it's more quiet than my… Read more
handheld fan operating at 60-70%. It does provide a breeze, pretty happy with it, the DC model is power efficient too

Originally four stars but Vornado patronised me so easily 2 stars. I didn't want to be harsh but there are cheaper, and better, options out there. … Read more
It's an okay product but be warned it can be really hard to take the cover off and it should not be used on the floor. It has nothing to stop hair or other stuff from the ground getting stuck it in.
It's efficient but I recommend putting it on top of a drawer or getting the pedestal version. It's a real shame Vornado advertises it on the floor when that is a really bad idea. If hair gets in it's a nightmare to get out and can slow down, or even stop, the fan.
You can't simply unclip the cover like you can on the cheapest Kmart or Bunnings fan.

Good fan but the feet keep falling off – The fan is good quality blows well, 3 speed, but the knob is on the front, no remote, almost every time I touch it,it collapses. The legs are the… Read more
worst design I’ve ever seen, they push into a set of jaws you tighten at the bottom, it’s so cumbersome and never stable, the guy who invented the legs should be sacked, could be a good product but it’s really let down by this.
Update: I’d had enough of this fan continuously falling over so I purchased the Shark fan it’s sooo… Read more
Quiet and reliable – Very happy, can leave on all night and no sound. Obviously at higher speeds there is sound but for sleeping the lower speeds are pefectly adequare… Read more
for those hot humid nights. So quiet that it is easy to accidently leave on all day. I purchased it from David Jones on sale but cannot remember the price. However, I was so pleased with it I bought a Vornado heater from them as well during winter the following year.
Power saving, powerful fan – I have a number of Vornado products, like their fans not so much their heaters. Vornado DC fan line up is where its at, powerful air movement, very… Read more
quiet (under 80% speed) and impressive low electricity usage. The Vornado 6803DC has a stable base, is well designed and very easy to put together. Only things I'm not 100% happy with is the power button on the fan is always illuminated even when off (not too bad as its very dim) and there is no oscillating feature on this $300 fan (but I'm guessing this would increase the power draw). Over all, I'm very happy with my purchases.
Save you're money, you can get a much better fan with a quick trip to your local Bunnings – This is an ok fan and fairly quiet on the lower settings. However it is only effective when used in a room already reasonably cool to begin with.… Read more
Remember this is an air multiplier and not really a fan. It is certainly not going to have any cooling effect or noticeable impact in a room that gets even a little bit of sun or has already become a bit stuffy. The base is also huge and very cumbersome to have in a smaller space.
The other big limitation of this fan is Vornado don't provide instructions to remove the front grill release the clips and you feel it may break being left to figure that out yourself. This makes it impossible to clean properly and it's a unit that traps a lot of dust that is impossible to get to without removing that front cage. When I contacted Vordando customer support explaining that I could find videos and instructions for other fans, but not specifically to remove the cage for this pedestal model, they sent links to videos with a caveat that was it was for their different model floor fans that are not at all the same fittings. hmmm... Ok thanks Vordando for confirming my original issue that there are no instructions for this model and you can't otherwise provide any.... 4 years later between requests.
Unfortunately due to not being able to properly clean the dust and constantly tripping over the huge base this was quickly relegated to the garage. It's a very good unit in that area being a dark cool space with room to spare, but at this price point not exactly what I had in mind.
I'd strongly suggest a trip to your local Bunnings, and if you're a homeowner at this price point I can promise you won't regret putting in proper ceiling fans that are a far superior solution.
Completely useless! You virtually have to hold this right on you to feel it. It's very disappointing and a waste of money.
Yeah, it blows – I wanted something quiet for the bedroom, but the fan I intended on replacing was quieter. At maximum speed, the fan isn't very loud at all. It will probably end up circulating air in the lounge room.
Not a very effective fan and the dial at the back continues to fall off - the one that turns the fan on and controls the speed settings. Such a waste of money! I would definitely look at a different brand rather than Vornado.
