Great tyres for a 4WD. They really last long. Vehicle has mostly been on sealed roads with occasional venture onto beaches and into the forests. Good… Read more
handling and performance. A bit of a hard ride when pumped up above 38PSI. Deflate to 15 PSI on beaches with loose sand without any problem. Done over 49 000km on them and still have 9mm of tread remaining. I'd definitely buy another set.
Ok it's a mud terrain..but wow it's good on sand – Just drove the QAA and Hay River in the Simpson. Done several times before and have used both the Toyo Open Country II 265/75R16 A/T and the Toyo… Read more
285/75R16 R/T on these previous crossings. Due to the Toyo 4x4 tyre shortage I had to swap the end of life amazingly good Toyo R/Ts for Toyo 285/75R16 M/Ts. Never fitted a full M/T to my 4x4s so was nervous about thread chunking, handling, and noise....however had none of these issues. Really good on road and just solid and so capable off road. My concerns about crossing the soft sand of the Simpson Desert was gone as soon as I climbed Big Red. What and great tyre. Deflated down to 16 psi and felt secure with no noticeable sidewall roll that you can get with other tyres at these low pressures so was very easy to drive over the dunes. Tyre wear over the 6500Ks travelled with around 40% of that trip off road showed normal wear with no chunking of the open mud tread, very impressed. Drove wet on tar and that really surprised me how good that was. Couldn't feel the difference between the M/Ts and the R/Ts in wet tar conditions. Did a small amount of mud around 20cm deep and that's was a significant difference to to R/Ts and A/Ts, the tread clears very nicely which you'd expect from the wider gaps between the tread blocks.
Over all very impressed maybe I'm a Toyo M/T tyre person now.
Wet grip limit very low – For everyday use, it is mostly adequate. It is relatively quiet and the wear is good. However, two problems worth noting. The sidewall is a bit weak… Read more
and very soft. And the lateral grip in wet is marginal. The wet grip issue may need extra attention as the dry performance is good and wet brake is also not bad. You may develop a false confidence with the tyre’s lateral grip performance.
Just having a go !!! – The tyre very good I have done well over 100,000 and still going strong plenty of tread left .Trick check air pressure regular and rotate every … Read more
10.000 k. No road noise Great tyre I would recmmmend them I have them on Mu-x I hope it helps someone !!!!!
The only tyre I'd give up my Open Country A/T II's for – Found the 285/75R16 to be a very tough tyre. Very reliable and can take them into the most remotest regions and know they are going to get you out… Read more
again even with very long distances and low 20psi levels. Very good traction in mud and wet blacktop. Took the full heat of the Birdsville Track in the middle of January on a very hot day with very limited impact to the tyre surface while running at 30psi. Very stable in corners with strong side wall support.
Good Highway Tyre – Work vehicle 2.9t loaded standard height. 90% on road, ok on gravel, light mud on firm ground ok, only had to get yanked out by digger once in really… Read more
wet boggy area not tyres fault though. Very smooth and quiet, balanced up very well.Very good handling once they'd done 5000km. excellent wet weather tyre, even when down to 3mm or so still hung on wet roads. Only got 50000km from them maybe 45000km but hey diesels need to be worked hard. Not one puncture, rotated twice(front to back) Will get another set on as they handled the weight and hard cornering in hills.
Great Tyres – Great tyres. Drive really well. Quiet on the road. Excellent in wet conditions. Would definitely buy this product again!!! We put these on our family… Read more
car. First time using this brand and have had no issues with them. Would definitely recommend these tyres to others. Really happy with our choice.
Have had these tires now since October and have done just over 30,000kms, they have held up extremely well for a mid range tire, handles extremely… Read more
well and disperses water,
Driving on sealed country roads in the tropics, potholes and harsh cambered roads these tires have seriously impressed me for their price,
Considering that these tires have taken a beating on the road, you would not know they are 5 months on and have done over 30000 kms so far,
Decent tread and traction remaining and they stick to the road in the wet.
Quite comfortable and safe all round tyre with great water dispersion.

Expected quality from a Japanese brand – Bought these tyres in May 2017 and they have been great. I got a 17" set and they have the quality I would expect from a Japanese brand. They were… Read more
cheaper than other brands and, among the performance ones, they have the best cost-benefit ratio, in my opinion.
I would buy from Toyo again.
