drain hose into a non functional plumbing outlet under the sink (who knew one hole was fake ), my Bosch Series 6 detected the drainage issue immediately, stopped itself, held all the water safely inside the machine and basically said “something is wrong here” instead of flooding the kitchen.
Once connected correctly, it drained perfectly, completed the cycle and ran without issue.
German engineering at its finest - very impressive.

Local repairer reckons it's the PC Board after discussing over phone, which is a $400 part, then labour on top, maybe a $700 repair....Lol.
After advising Bosch, all we get is argumentative email exchanges with an overseas service centre outside of local hours.
So dissapointing for a mid-level appliance trumpeting German components. We should have just bought something Chinese for alot less, or a proper premium brand and spent some more money.
No more Bosch products. Don't waste your money!

and dries better too (including plastics). The only downside compared to a dual DishDrawer is that when a cycle is running, there’s nowhere to put dirty dishes. But in every other way, this Bosch is a huge improvement. What really surprised me is that one Bosch cycle uses about the same water and energy as a single DishDrawer, yet it holds around 2.5x more and cost about $1,000 less. I nearly didn’t buy it because of some of the negative Series 6 reviews online. Very glad I did.

I used to be a huge fan of Bosch dishwashers, but sadly the quality seems to have dropped significantly. I own two Bosch dishwashers and both broke down just over a year later.
Really disappointing experience overall. Save yourself the hassle and think twice before buying.

years and have always loved them, so I replaced my last one with another Bosch - big mistake! I want my old dishwasher back. Here are the problems: 1. You practically have to break your finger to push the button hard enough for it to register that it’s been pressed, as the buttons do not depress they’re just meant to be touch sensitive. 2. The new cutlery drawer is useless but luckily you can remove it and throw it away. The problem is that if you use the cutlery drawer there’s not enough room on the regular top row for tall glasses or drink bottles. 3. The sections in the cutlery basket are much smaller because they have to go over the prongs as there’s no dedicated cutlery basket area any more, so the walls in the cutlery basket are so wide the pockets that the cutlery sits in are much smaller, for example, I can’t fit the immersion blender bottom in the cutlery basket any more. 4. The dishes seem to come out much wetter than my old machine, even after selecting the “extra dry” function

once I figured out which dishes could fit where, I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile they are! My favourite part has become the little removable plastic divider in the upper rack, because food containers fit in there very well. When the wine glass stem holders are folded out, they keep containers and plastic cups secured underneath. None of the lower racks are foldable, but have wide enough gaps to fit saucepans and frying pans.
There’s only 4 cycles on this thing, which are selected by turning a knob. There is a time remaining display with delay start and “Speed Perfect” buttons, which shorten the times a little on Pots & Pans, Auto and Eco in much the same way my last dishwasher did on “half load” setting. Express can’t be used with Speed Perfect, but that cycle only goes for 30 minutes, while cutting out the drying part completely. I can’t even remember the last time I had to run something through again, it does a really good job cleaning dishes on all cycles! Filter is easy to remove and clean. Can't be paused mid-cycle, but does pick up where it left off if you turn off via power button, open the door then turn it back on again, or if the power goes out momentarily.
Rinse aid dispenser can’t be manually adjusted, and it does drink quite a bit, so I always make sure to have some on hand. I can only assume it automatically adjusts dose, because I live in a hard water area but don’t get streaks on the dishes like I used to. Sliding tablet dispenser door isn't very durable though, about 18 months in, the spring and seal popped out, but was pretty easy to put back together myself.

with a Bosch machine was easy. Bosch dishwashers are the quietest on the market, and the cycles are so easy to use. The speed perfect function means you can shorten any cycle (apart from the express wash) and keep running costs down.
With this Series 8 model you can also download the app and set and run from your phone, not that I’ve ever needed to use this function as you can manually set start time on the unit very easily anyway.
The dishes are reliably clean and a regular machine wash cycle keeps the machine tip top too. My favourite function of all is the little red beam that lights up on the floor so you know when it’s running, and when it’s completed it’s wash it sounds a cute little alarm. Very convenient!
Bosch Serie 4 Built-in Dishwashers
Pretty good, except the shortest cycle seems to be 1h. When I press the "speed perfect" it displays codes like r001,d00,A00,101, 602 (with an ongoing beeeeeeep sound), rE in succession when I keep pressing it. ..but nothing seems to happen.
How does the "speed perfect" work?

have chosen. There is no timer on it so no idea how long until its finished. The top tray is stiff to pull out, so you have to yank on it which makes everything fall over. The bottom tray is the absolute pits. The row of tines at the back are not big enough for dinner plates, only the front ones are. This means it's heavier at the front so when you pull the tray out, it drops down into the gap of the door hinge, making it all fall. I use the dishwasher every day and it drives me insane as you forget about it until everything comes crashing down.

Bosch... One is automatic door opening at the end of the program (If I just haven't found how to do it then someone from Bosch please contact me about it). The door can automatically open when you push against it so why not at the end of the program. The second is the time display. It doesn't display the remaining time on the floor and the screen is hidden as it's an integrated dishwasher. You have to get your phone out to see the remaining time on the app (which is hard to navigate and use). The last gripe is the power plug, It could just be an Australian thing but why do appliance manufactures insist on supplying ugly space wasting straight plastic plugs. Especially for something like a dishwasher where the power point will be behind or in a cupboard where space is precious. Maybe small things for some but it's the most expensive Bosch you can buy here and you basically have to buy one blind as no one has a display one to actually see. The last Bosch I had was 17 years old when I sold the house so I have no doubt this one will do the job, I just wanted the fruit too.
