Price does not equate with the quality or performance – I bought a washing from Fisher & Paykel in 2018 & it broke down 6 years later. The price gor this front loader was close to $900. When contact F&P… Read more

for repair they charge $150 for dropping by. The circuit board was found to be defective & they quote almost $400 for a replacement. I found F&P product quality has deterioraded & the price for their products & parts are way too high for poorer quality product. I could just buy a new European brand for less $700 instead of doing the repair.

I also purchased an extended warrantee from Harvey Norman which I have found very difficult to navigate and also have not had any satisfaction in my attempts to make a claim. wretched thing has no way to open the door (yes I followed the instructions, they don’t work) So the only way to get my clothes out is to run the air dry function for another 40 minutes to finally open the wretched door.

I shall shortly send it to landfill and buy a proper one . terrible work F and P, you should be ashamed of this machine

avoid claims!

Brand-new washing machine after only three washes, it began leaking from the front door due to a faulty rubber seal. No errors. No misuse. I have two witnesses. Fisher & Paykel refusing to honour the warranty, instead are trting to shift the blame onto me creating hypothetical scenarios with no legal basis or supporting evidence.. The repair is not costly, but they'd rather liability avoidance rather than standing behind their product!. Also their AI-generated response is appalling!! They should invest in their product instead!

A near-new appliance failing after three uses is not acceptable!. Consumers deserve better! Disgusting treatment! This is unacceptable. If i could rate zero I would.

With a heavy heart, I passed on my still working ASKO front loader and dryer combo because I found it more and more difficult to bend down to a front… Read more

loader with my sore back and being in my 80s. I realized that it might be impossible to find a top loader that would give me the same pristine, quiet and wrinkle free washing this Asko has delivered for the past 15 years. So, I spent much time researching for a replacement. I chose the F&K because the overall consensus was still fair and service people considered it a reliable brand. The biggest plus was that the controls were simple and at the back and easy to read. It would probably see me out and since I was only washing for 2 elderly people who did not have really dirty clothes it seemed a more economic solution. The Good Guys had a good offer and the installation was excellent and very helpful young men. The 9Kg model looks nice and does not take up much space. It has been 4 weeks and during this time I have tested the various options to see what this machine was capable of. I quickly learned that the Automatic option does not provide good results unless you change the water level, temperature and spin speed that are set with that option. As several people have pointed out, the Automatic option sets the water level for each part of the cycle. i.e. for Washing it barely covers the clothes but for Rinsing it is higher to almost 1/4 of the drum. Unfortunately, this has the effect of leaving soap scum on top of the clothes as the water drains down. Rinsing does not remove it. Also, the water temperature at the Warm setting is far too high at nearly 55 Deg. To sum up, whatever option you use, it seems to work better if you set your own water levels and temperature as well as spin speeds. So far, with a modest load at Easy Care setting, I am getting better results when I select these settings. Warm/Cold, Medium water levels and low spin speed. I also use the Rinse+ function to get an extra rinse. Mind you, clothes are still wrinkled so don't leave anything sitting in it for too long if it is drip dry It will never replace my Asko (or a Miele) but it is easy on my back and will do an 'adequate' job once I have tamed it.

An excellent upgrade from the F & P top loader – I recently upgraded after my trustee 10kg top loader Fisher and Paykel washing machine of 18 years stopped working . I read numerous reviews and… Read more

decided to make that change to go with a front loader and because this brand has served me well for numerous larger appliances in my home, I went ahead and purchased it again!

This machine being 11kg will wash your king sized comforter with no issues. Items like socks come out really white. I like that it has a automatic dispenser that you can pre fill with liquid detergent and it dispenses as needed to the size of your load . I use OMO liquid detergent and also use laundry pods (and set the soap selection to manual when I used pods) by placing 2 at the back ends of the drum on either side and it washes a full load with no residue . I like that it has a 30 minute speed wash and the washer is user friendly in letting you adjust spin speeds and and water temperature to your liking . Overall I would recommend this washer to anyone looking to upgrade from a top loader . Clothes come out less creased with a front loader so there is less ironing needed!

machine and the fact that it still has a pause button so you can pause the cycle to unlock the lid to add more clothes or check the water level etc! I also like that you can manually override the default water temperature and spin speed and can save your favourite preferences for each cycle. What I do not like is that the automatic water level uses too little water so that your clothes don't wash well if quite dirty and with so little water the drag and pull on the clothes is much rougher than if you use more water. I guess they choose to use so little water to bring up their star rating!!! Well I want to wash our clothes properly so I will manually choose the water level..... so glad you can do that... But, there are no markings inside this low agitator machine to use as a guide as to which manual water level to choose!!! They had water level indicator marks on the agitator in my old machine! I'll just have to work out the appropriate manual water levels by trial & error! So many friends have told me that their washing machine doesn't was dirty clothes very well or wash the soap off very well and it is because these modern top loading washing machines are using too little water on their auto settings!

So, this was a replacement for a dodgy 10kg Bosch front loader. Our verdict? We like it! SO quiet! We've not had one problem with it so far, and… Read more

we've been using it (a lot) for almost 4 months now. The spin cycle kicks in so quickly, and is really very quiet. You just don't notice it with the laundry door shut, and barely notice it with the door open! This machine is honestly the noisiest when it's taking water in! The cycles on it are very useful. I can wash blankets, heavy things, doonas/duvets, woollens, delicates etc. And obviously normal cycles, too! And I LOVE that you can do a 9kg 'Everyday' wash, that's under an hour. And things come out clean. Or I can make it just over an hour by adding in an extra rinse, or a prewash, or changing the temperature from 30 to 40 degrees. Or I can do a longer 'Cottons' wash if I think things are dirtier than usual. But even then, I can change the 'Speed' function and make it wash a bit faster. Basically, I have so many options with this washing machine, and it's not stuffed up even once. And it gets used a lot. The only downsides are that it's actually fairly noisy taking in the water (and we have the cold water tap very open so it's not struggling to get enough water or anything) and the wash cycles often take a bit longer than what it says to begin with. I've been caught out a few times thinking I'll have time to put a second load on before heading out, but then I check and it still has 17 minutes to go on it or something when it was meant to be finished already. Perhaps for lighter loads, the original time might be the case, but for full loads, it takes longer than the cycle says. However, it's still WAY faster than our old Bosch, so it's still pretty good. And I honestly think our clothes come out cleaner in this machine than they ever did in the Bosch. Plus the F&P machine is gentle on our clothes. No pulled drawstrings, stretched or torn clothing. I'm a happy camper and would definitely recommend this machine. Wish we'd bought it instead of the Bosch all those years ago! The mechanics and overall function seem superior.

I timed the large wash I did yesterday - 3 hours 20 minutes! The quicker loads are only for small loads - 2 - 4 kg. Starting a wash early in order… Read more

to get maximum sun on it in winter will be a problem because early, the sun isn't on the solar panels. And there will be no two washes in a day, (if I want to dry my clothing on the line,) which I could happily do in my old washer which took 40 minutes. Why technology has to go backwards, I'll never know. To justify the massive price? Strangely enough, it has a 4 star water and electricity rating. How that can be, I don't know, when it goes for so long, emptying and filling about 4 or 5 times from what I noticed. I've done small loads which still took well over an hour and used the sheets setting - it washed everything well. It's quiet. One thing to think of if buying a new washer - this top loader is very high and very deep. I'm 5'4.5" and can barely get things out of the bottom of it - so consider that if you're a shortie.

Disappointed with Customer Support and Product Longevity I purchased this washing machine about a year ago for around $700, expecting it to last at… Read more

least a few years without issues. However, it has recently started making loud, abnormal noises during the wash cycle. I reached out to customer service hoping for some assistance, only to be told that a call-out fee of $349 would apply – nearly half the original purchase price, and more than the machine is even worth now (around $300).

This has left me incredibly frustrated as a customer. For a relatively new appliance to have problems so soon, and for the brand to charge such a steep fee just to assess it, doesn’t reflect well on the product quality or after-sales service. There was no offer of goodwill, no effort to troubleshoot remotely – just a high service fee that makes it hard to justify a repair.

From a customer experience standpoint, this feels like poor value and poor support. I expected more from a brand that markets itself as reliable.

If you’re considering buying this product, I would recommend thinking twice and perhaps looking at other brands that stand behind their products better and offer more reasonable support options.

about the lack of the old historical central agitator but the bottom agitator works fine. A few minor draw backs are firstly, the default settings when you turn it on can't be adjusted and therefore it loads the default as warm water and if you use cold you have to change it every load which is annoying. The second issue is if you are doing a large load, don't use the auto sensor level as the water will be to lower than required and the clothes come out with detergent still on them. If you manually select the level to max they don't. This only happens with full loads.
