but have had lots of issues with it. Including the fact that it leaked water all over the floor and into the basement. The fridge is eleven years old and there are two adults living at home and using this fridge. I have 5 shelves on the door and each shelve has been cracked for about 5 years. Each shelve costs about $134.00 dollars per shelf. So about 500.00 or 600.00 dollars to replace the shelves. I contacted Samsung and I was told the warranty covers the shelves for 1 year. They will not help in any way. Do I waste my money and buy them and hope that the fridge lasts a little longer. Do not buy Samsung appliances. I have masking tape on the shelves to hold them together. Not a good purchase and no customer service at all.

replaced within the first year while still under warrantee. Now the parts are no longer available. My friend just replaced her Samsung fridge for the same reason. The support team tell me that they don't make the parts anymore and that no other model has matching parts - they seem to think this is an adequate response. They say the fridge is from 2002, but I bought it brand new at Harvey Norman in 2012 - not advertised as an old model either. One Samsung employee said to go on Ebay - which I already had. I've scoured the net. My 26 year old Westinghouse in the garage is in much better condition - and that was our main fridge for 20 years! Stay away from Samsung!

water and ice-making capabilities (plumbed). One such fridge that (almost) met this criteria was the Samsung SRF7500BB. This was a “black” fridge which we were not happy about (always had white then silver) but it met all other criteria and was currently "on special". Turned out it was finished in a smooth “anti-fingerprint” finish that was more grey than black. Additionally, numerous random but close spaced horizontal lines “broke” the surface and we have grown to quite like this finish. I have attempted to show it in an attached photo but you will need to allow for reflections which can’t be avoided on the smooth satin finish.
SETTING UP - Upon delivery we were left to hook it up to our existing electrical wall outlet preinstalled plumbing outlet (must have for this fridge). Next, needed to remove the protector plastic from the drawers and shelves and insert them into place. We were told to let it sit and settle in place for a couple of hours before turning it on. Once this was done, it took an hour or two to reach set operating temperatures. Therefore, make sure you have provision to store your fridge contents for a few hours. We had old polystyrene foam boxes which we fitted out with ice bricks plus we could store frozen contents in a freezer we had in the garage. I did notice it took a day for the temperatures to stabilise throughout the new fridge as evidenced by a manual thermometer I was able to move around inside to check. To completely fill the two ice trays took the fridge close to four days but to do the same now only requires a solid two days.
OPERATION - Controls are minimal and hidden down in the hinge area of the right fridge door. A digital readout supplies both the fridge and freezer temperatures as well as being able to turn on/off the water jug and the ice-makers. It will also alert you if the water filter needs replacing as well as the ability to “snooze” the alert. You can also activate “Power Cool” and “Power Freezing” for rapid temperature drops. Should note that after setting the desired fridge and freezer temperature, both the readouts then revert to displaying the actual temperatures in the fridge. While placing the controls inside the fridge (as opposed to being on the outside of a door) makes them slightly less accessible, that is also an advantage giving a minimalist appearance. Opening the doors is achieved by placing your fingers under the two doors (top of for two freezer doors) to access the recessed handles. Be aware the doors are not fully self closing but need to be pushed to overcome resistance for the last 6cm or so of travel. There is, however, an alarm that sounds if the door is left open (except for the Beverage Door which does not alert you and needs a firm push to close as it uses a physical latch.
BEVERAGE CENTRE – This fridge features a “beverage centre” which is essentially a door in a door. Its handle is also recessed and sits alongside the handle to open the left refrigerator door. This exposes the Beverage Centre which consists of a cold water dispenser, a 1.4L water jug (BPA free with infuser) and two shelves to store drinks. You won’t fit bottles (these can be put in the right hand door) as one is 21cm tall and the other is 14cm tall but it is useful for cans and glasses. Each time the jug is returned to the fridge it automatically “tops up” to full with cold filtered water. Should note that the fridge has a filter for the water jug, ice cubes and cold water dispenser that needs to be replaced about every six months (Samsungs recommended time based on average use). There will be a warning for when this is needed on the control panel. Surrounds for the cold water dispenser are all plastic so won’t have the issue we experienced on the previous fridge with surface rust forming around the base of the dispenser. There are two removable ice trays as the freezer makes two different size ice. The one on the left creates a tray of standard size ice cubes while the one to its left creates smaller ice (approx. 2cm x 1.5cm x 1.5cm) which Samsung calls “Ice Bites”. The freezer monitors levels in these trays and automatically tops them up as needed. The ice drops into the tray from above about every six to eight hours. Curiously, the “Ice Bites” frequently drop into the tray as a group looking like a frozen chocolate bar (see attached photo). As I said earlier, it takes a solid two days to fully refill if you empty them. The only downside I have encountered is the fridge fills the two trays to capacity. Whilst they are removable, I usually just use the supplied scoop to get the ice while the trays are still in place. Samsung decided to make the tray sides all the same height so inevitably when scooping, some ice will fall over the back of the tray and into the drawers below. Only a small issue but easily fixed if the back of the trays were higher.
NOISE – This is without doubt the quietest fridge/freezer I have ever had. Even in a quiet night time environment it is completely silent. The exception, of course, is the infrequent sound of ice dropping into trays (with the subsequent sound of running water as they refill) along with that of the jug when it is refilling. If you are looking for a quiet fridge this is it.
OVERALL – Have no regrets purchasing this fridge. It works well and goes about its business in the quietest way possible. Adjustability of internal shelving is good and you should have no issue fitting tall items. It has two flush mounted, bright white, LED interior lights that leaves no dark corners and comes with a two year warranty (ten years on the compressor). Based on my experience over the last five months, I would recommend this refrigerator.
WHAT I LIKED:- Quiet operation, Dual ice makers, Inbuilt water jug and water dispenser, External satin grey “faux textured” finish, bright spacious interior.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE:- Backs of ice trays should be higher, Doors not fully self closing, Don’t forget you will need to have it plumbed into your house plumbing, Noise from ice falling can be startling in a quiet house at night until you get used to it (Yes, I really am battling to find things I don’t like)

through the house. We have had 4 visits from different Samsung recommended technicians! We have had fans replaced, fans adjusted, a new compressor! The technicians recommend a new fridge as they all believe it is faulty! Calls to the service centre are a waste of time! We have had many! We just go around in circles. No result after 12 months. The cost of all the call outs from technicians and spare parts could have paid for a new fridge! Don’t buy Samsung!

in 2020 as I did for old one in 2007. At first sight fridge is striking black making an eye popping contrast in a white kitchen (so much for white goods). For size it is surprisingly big inside, shelves are adequate but feel light weight. On the negative side the freezer section only has two drawers and no small third drawer or ice maker. I like the new invertor technology which is very quite and hardly any cracking or expansion or contraction noises (not like the old one). Not a big deal but I notice that the door does not swing out as far as my old one did and does not have an open door alarm which I thought was handy. I bought it on special at the Goodguys and reasonable value for money at that price. A neat one to two person fridge.

us very well. So this new Samsung Fridge is a down-size for us, down to 648L in capacity.
So let's start with the Aesthetics. The front panels are an off white (don't be fooled in the shops if they state its white). If you have a pure arctic white kitchen you'll notice the off-white colour standing out. Luckily our new house has matt off white cupboards, so the matt finish and colour fits in well. Front surface is easier to clean than the old stainless steel fridge. Fridge is easy to move around when installing and the included plumbed water hardware is also a breeze to install yourself.
As we liked the clean front of this fridge, the water dispenser is hidden behind the 'false' front door - very neat. Easy to access. The included water jug fills instantly, so just make sure if you want to make the most of the chilled filtered water. Use it before it tops up. The ice maker is next level with now two options of ice available. Medium and small. The small ice cubes are the preferred in our house. When compared to our previous fridge, this ice cube making is completely silent.
Fridge layout and capacity are very good. Freezer layout and capacity could be better, I think they could have had more storage here if they just changed the layout around a bit.
This is a premium fridge from Samsung. Inside temp readout is good and the phone app also allows you to monitor fridge temps as well as adjusting ice controls and jug refill. Plus the app also monitors if the doors are left open. Overall very happy with the purchase.
4.5 stars from me.

this fridge is the one thing that has broken. I wish I did more research prior to purchasing this fridge as now it's apparent that this problem we are having is a common occurrence. The Ice dispenser is not dispensing ice and the ice flap that will usually open when dispensing the ice is opening and closing continually. After one night of it opening and closing it is now making this horrid screeching noise along with the noise the flap was originally making. I have called The Good Guys to put in a warranty claim and now awaiting a call from Samsung for someone to come and fix the problem. Quite frustrating as we now have to listen to this extremely annoying sound over the weekend, The Good Guys tell me I should hear from Samsung on Tuesday given it's Friday today. The other thing I'm stressed about is the fact this has happened so early on, how many more times is this going to happen!? I hope not ever but I don't like the odds of that given I have only had this fridge for 1.5 months! My last fridge lasted 16 years before it died on me, I was so excited to start fresh with this new fridge and have a nice long life with it! Now I'm just feeling stressed and anxious about my purchase, is this something I'm going to have to deal with for the life of the fridge!? At the moment I'm feeling really robbed as a customer and honestly, I wish I could just get a refund or an exchange as I have lost all hope in this product. I understand that a refund isn't really on the cards and the company have an obligation to fix it but at this stage all I'm feeling is buyers regret, it's not fair that a customer doesnt have the right to a refund straight off the bat on a product that has a known fault. Extremely disappointed, frustrated and annoyed to say the least.

It took about a month to arrive but after a week o rtwo they did give us a loan fridge
Other fridges have an ice draw that can be used for ice of anything else. This fridge has a small box that shuffles about on a shelf, spills water when trying to get the water tray in said box. Surely we are in 2026 and have gone past this sort of stuff.
Oh and dont forget to use some disinfectant of the door openers that are at the bottom of the top doors.
Would I buy again? Never in a thousand years
