something.
Cons Unreliable. After 2 months the motor would start making a surging noise and then stop.Took it to be fixed under warranty. They kept it quite a while. Got it back and it worked OK. Two years later,it has the exact same problem. Clearly, they didn't fix it properly initially or this is a problem with Samsung Vacs. The dust bag can be awkward to click off and put back on. You have to line up the dust bag exactly to click it back on. Sent a complaint to Samsung 5 days ago by email and haven't heard a thing back.
Comment Avoid Buying Samsung Vacuums as 2 years longevity of the product is not satisfactory.

motorised brush failed in the first week after purchase (Feb 2024). Despits being spotless after clearing debris it constantly brought up errors. I suspect it's a design fault. The worst part is going through Samsung support. Going back and forth with Samsung support, each time being asked the same stpid questions, asked for video evidence, after which I had to drive it in for repair. At what stage do they bother with a refund and recognising it is a faulty product? The motorised brush head has now broken down again a 3rd time along with the smaller one that I've used as a temporary measure. I'm not going to bother going through support cycle again. $500 down the drain.
Update: don't bother with product review mediation. Even after mentioning that it failed immediately after purchase, and having taken it into repair to their service twice already, these jokers are asking me to jump through the same service procedure a 3rd time JUST to prove its faulty BEFORE asking to escalate it to another "Voice of the Customer" department. What kind of sick consumer advocacy joke is this? How about you just replace the freaking faulty part altogether and straight away rather than make the customer jump through a thousand hoops?
I'll take the loss but won't be buying any products from this company ever again. Just remember, this product lasted 1 week before I had to take it into repair. $500.

65. I was sceptical at first because the motor is so quiet on the low setting, but the suction is fantastic. I only have timber and tiled floors and the low setting does my whole house without a problem. It has an attachment for pet hair, which is a must for anyone with animals. I am over 70 and got muscle cramps when holding down the button on my old Dyson, but this one has a very easy on/off button, which is my favourite feature. Needless to say, I love this hand held cleaner and I don’t think there is a better one out there for the low price of $223, which is what I paid.

off during normal use. The battery performance is also poor and did not last more than a year, which is unacceptable for a product in this price range.
The vacuum head is poorly designed, and the wheels on the head are fragile and prone to breaking. On this occasion, I simply picked up the vacuum to do a quick clean and parts broke off — it was not dropped or mishandled in any way. Based on the damage, you would think it had been thrown against a wall, but that was not the case.
Overall, this has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a Samsung product. For anyone considering this model, I would strongly recommend spending a little extra on a more reliable brand with better build quality and battery longevity.

customer service. On reflection, at least we had a few months decent use out of the unit, so that was a better experience than dealing with Samsung which has been overwhelmingly unsatisfactory.
The unit would be awesome if it wasn't inherently flawed, there are plenty of threads online with people trying to work around the problems with it.
So having taken the unit out to their authorised service people and having been told to expect it back in a week to 10 days, Samsung had no contact for about 3 - 4 weeks, after following it up it gets escalated and oh yes it needs a new motor but there are none in Australia and none on the way. Samsung wont replace it as they have no stock (as at Feb '26) and they wont organise it from a retailer like Harvey Norman who seem to have stock albeit at a higher price, and Samsung will only pay back the purchase price paid to them and not the cost of any aftercare warranty etc.
The kicker is to get the refund they seem to need up to 30 business days (6 weeks) to be able to make a payment, after the customer has satisfied all of their requirements.

therefore has to be emptied manually after each vacuum. Despite following all the care and maintenance instructions, this vacuum requires manually cleaning after every use. Samsung have video evidence of this continual malfunction, and after many phone calls to Samsung was told this "Self-Cleaning" vacuum is operating within the manufacturers specifications, which is clearly not true. It is basically false advertising. Totally defeats the purpose of having a "Self-Cleaning Station" If you are looking for something that reduces maintenance, save your money and buy something else. Very disappointing & frustrating follow up from Samsung.

I bought this vacuum in December 2022, expecting it to be a solid medium- to long-term solution for cleaning my small apartment. In addition to the… Read more
basic 'pet' model, I bought accessories including a second battery, additional vacuum heads, and mop attachment, hoping to complete a full clean of my small, one bedroom apartment with a single charge.
I found the vacuum to be reasonably effective, but only on the highest two power levels, and battery life was very underwhelming; after vacuuming my apartment, three-quarters of which has hard floors, both batteries were close to exhausted, so I was unable to mop on a single charge of two batteries. To clean a typical two or three bedroom house I'd guess you'd need at least four batteries just to vacuum. While the accessory carrier does incorporate a separate charger, I don't have anywhere to store this, and it's not possible to use the vacuum's base station or the carrier's power adaptor to charge a battery directly. I feel this is a missed opportunity; having one or two batteries on charge while another is in use would be far more efficient than having to use the vacuum itself as a glorified connector between the adaptor or the base station's contacts and the battery.
Despite owning the vacuum for two years, it's seen relatively little use as I sweep the hard floors often and haven't ever used the mop attachment (mostly due to the battery frustrations mentioned), so only vacuum less than once a month on average; not even enough to have replaced the bag in the base station yet. I've also cleaned the vacuum's filters frequently, and washed the washable components on average every few cycles of use. The vacuum failed after a total of perhaps 20 battery cycles; after swapping to the second battery while vacuuming a carpeted area, the vacuum failed to start, making a brief whirring noise as though a motor was trying to spin but couldn't. The power head receives power and the brushes spin, but the vacuum fails to produce any suction. After troubleshooting including removing and cleaning filters, checking for obstructions, and inspecting the main vacuum unit for signs of blockage or damage, I noted in the troubleshooting guide that the vacuum unit has an overheating protection feature which stops the motor until it cools down. I suspect this feature has failed, leading to the motor overheating and subsequently failing. Such an early life failure is poor to say the least for such an expensive unit, and demonstrates that reliance on electronic protections to address a design flaw is a poor model of risk management. If use of the provided accessories risks damage to the vacuum, a better solution would be to redesign the accessories, vacuum, or both to provide sufficient functionality without risking damage to the vacuum.
I reluctantly left this review after logging two 'callback request' support tickets on Samsung's website, hoping to get some troubleshooting advice, or at least information on paid repair or refurbishment options. Both support tickets were closed with no attempt to contact me and no explanation. Since Samsung are not willing to even discuss, I'll instead refer the matter to the Australian Consumer Ombudsman.
