80s/90% as I believed an ‘ex demo’ is not used 24/7, but the phone is still ‘excellent’. Maybe, my expectations were a bit high. Friends recommended this company. The phone has no visible scratches and at least a year warranty. Let’s hope it keeps working and that Oz mobile keeps to its promises. Delivery time was 5 days.

was lighter and easier to hold than my old 13 Pro Max. While I love the white colour and the physically smaller size, after using it for a while, I actually preferred my old 13 Pro Max.

What I Like:

• Design & Size: The white finish looks great, and the size is much more comfortable to hold than the heavy Max models.

• Standard Apple Features: It handles all the usual iPhone ecosystem features perfectly, like iMessage and screen-sharing over FaceTime.

• Security Concepts: I like the peace of mind that comes with features like Stolen Device Protection and Lockdown Mode, though I haven't had to put them to the test.

What Needs Improvement:

• Camera: It seems perfectly fine, but honestly nothing special or groundbreaking compared to older models.

• Flawed "Find My" Tech: Apple claims the phone is findable even when turned completely off. In my experience, this isn't true. It only ever displays the last known location it had when it still had an active internet connection.

• Useless Siri & Apple Intelligence: Siri has become incredibly frustrating. It rarely just gives a direct answer anymore. Instead, it constantly prompts me to use ChatGPT or just dumps a list of Google search options. If I wanted to use Google, I would have opened a browser myself.

• No Siri Chat History: There is no dedicated app or log to review past conversations with Siri. Once the text disappears from the screen, it’s completely gone—even if it used ChatGPT to generate a helpful answer, nothing is saved to a history log for later reading.

• Dual SIM Issues: It’s supposed to support dual-SIM usage via a physical SIM and an eSIM together, but I can only run one at a time. Trying to activate both causes neither to work properly; data only functions on Wi-Fi, and calls will only process on one line at a time.

• Performance Glitches: The phone randomly freezes inside individual apps. The rest of the phone stays responsive, but I constantly have to swipe the frozen app closed and force-restart it to get it working again.

My Absolute Biggest Gripes:

• The "Dynamic Island" Cutout: I absolutely hate the black section at the top of the screen around the front camera lens. It constantly covers up content and gets in the way.

• Frustrating Notification Layout: We are so many generations into the iPhone, yet Apple still forces notifications to drop down from the very top of the screen. The number of times I’ve been right about to click something, only for a notification to pop down in the way and force me to accidentally open a random message, is infuriating. Apple desperately needs to offer an option for notifications to slide up from the bottom or pop up cleanly as a side bubble.

Final Verdict: My old 13 Pro Max had a camera that was just as good (if not better), and the older version of Siri was amazing—I could give her the vaguest details about an obscure topic and she would almost always understand and answer accurately. The only downside to the 13 Pro Max was that it was too big and heavy. While the 15 Pro fixed the weight problem, the software glitches and degraded Siri performance make it a frustrating trade-off.

progressively worse and worse.

Despite my previous bad experience with the iPhone 12 mini having atrocious battery life, I decided to go all in on their flagship phone the iPhone 16 pro max. I wanted two things in particular:

1. I wanted my photos to be available locally without being tied to iCloud. So I bought the 1tb model. 2. I wanted excellent battery life. So I bought the pro max.

2 years of ownership and Apple has failed on both points. The battery life post iOS 26 is middling to bad. I am lucky to get a full day out of it. The entire point of buying the flagship was to be able to use it all day. The phone has been babied with the battery capped at 80% and it still has 96% life according to Apple.

As for the 1tb storage it was a waste of time buying it. Apple through their sloppy software engineering have made it impossible to download photos off the phone using the USB connection, despite the phone having USB-C. I plug the phone into my computer and it refuses point blank to show me my full photo collection. I have tried all combinations of USB-C cables, this is a solved problem for virtually all tech companies except Apple. It’s pretty obvious that Apple wants people to pay for their overpriced cloud subscriptions, so they deliberately cripple what should be basic functionality.

I’ve had a gut full of all their products. From their poor quality Siri voice assistant, they’re baked in obsolescence of their computers, even their AirPods won’t connect most of the time due to some Bluetooth issues.

This will be my last iPhone. I’ll be buying a phone that gives me full control next time.

The button on the side allows you to do voice commands and is have used this to adjust the brightness successfully. Battery life could also be better at this price point but it isn’t terrible. The only average issue I’m having is the torch function. Sometimes you press the torch button and it won’t turn on but then you use the voice button and request it and it does work. Maybe this is just software related. I don’t know.

I found that the iPhone 17 Pro is not as good as my old iPhone 13. It feels very slippery and is much easier to drop. Sometimes it makes me wonder… Read more

Keyboard is awful and editing options are becoming more st^pid with every update. Can’t easily select words or just place the cursor where you want.
