amazing throughout the entire process. She made what could have been an overwhelming amount of preparation feel completely manageable, guiding us through everything needed for both the flight and the import so we always knew exactly what to do and when.

On the day, Teagen was equally wonderful. Our cats had to be dropped off very early for their vet checks, so she allowed me to visit them beforehand to reassure and calm them down, which definitely helped them. She then kept me updated the whole way through, right up until they were handed over to the handling staff at the airport. That kind of communication took so much of the worry out of the day.

The partner team on the South African side were just as caring and professional, and our cats were in safe hands the entire journey.

If you are nervous about transporting your pets, I cannot recommend Dogtainers highly enough. The care, patience and genuine kindness shown by the whole team made all the difference.

pet across the world is naturally stressful, but the level of care and professionalism we experienced was second to none. We faced several challenges along the way, including unexpected flight cancellations that could have been a logistical nightmare. However, the team handled every change with efficiency and kept us updated throughout the entire process. A special shout-out to Emily, who was a huge help from start to finish. Her communication was fantastic, providing much-needed reassurance during the more hectic moments of the journey. Knowing that Luna was in such capable hands made all the difference. She made it from one side of the world to the other and is doing completely fine, settling in perfectly. If you are looking for a pet relocation service that truly cares, I cannot recommend Aeropets highly enough!

As it would be her first time away from us, I wanted her to be really comfortable but also secure, as she can be a ‘bolter’; otherwise I would have paid for boarding in a pet-sitter’s home. On the phone with Hanrob staff the day before, I was told no toys, no clothing smelling of Dad and no washable pee mat allowed, which I found odd. I asked what was on the floor (website says underfloor heating) and was told ‘concrete’ (unlike the website image). I wasn’t too happy. Next morning, when my husband arrived at the facility to drop off our tiny dog, he asked to see her accommodation. Staff were very reluctant but he insisted. Turns out it was just a concrete cell, with cyclone wire separating it from those around it, in an old, dark shed. My husband was aghast and brought our dog straight back home. Hanrob staff wouldn’t let him take a photo to show me how bad it was and, given that he’s much less ‘precious’ about our animals than me, for him to be shocked by what was on offer compared to the blurb online really says something. We were refunded our 50% deposit the same day but it put a spoke in our travel plans and was also deeply annoying from a deceptive advertising point of view. So, don’t be fooled by promises of ‘luxury’ digs for your dog like we were. Hanrob Perth ain’t it!
