Temporary weather station for a permanent price – It was ok for about a year, then the outdoor temperature and humidity sensors died. The outdoor unit became very brittle, and it leaked. Then one of the anemometer cups fell off. Into the bin it went. Not a good investment. Low quality. Show details

and no button response, but instead of throwing it out, I kept it on the kitchen bench, and after a period of about 2 weeks tried it again, and it worked and nearly 6 months later, continues to work fine, first peice of electronics I've had that resurrected itself.
The only problem was when I was enquiring about service / repair, there was nothing available, either through Bias, (where I purchased it), or Jaycar who sell them. The unit apparently has no backup available in Aus.
Worked well for a week or so – digitech xc0434 constantly needs resetting I've reset twice changed batteries in space of a month and still no outside information disappointed. Will not buy again wouldn't recommend to anyone at all. Show details

3" speakers, the expectations weren't high but it's one of the few devices that will play from a USB memory stick (as well as BT streaming) and that was the function we needed.
Thanks to the 6" sub, the sound quality is actually pretty decent and although 24W RMS isn't going to blow your ears off, there is good depth and clarity up to about 3/4 volume.
With the added bonus of an FM radio tuner, SD or USB playback, 1x3.5mm Aux input and a pair of microphone inputs it's a versatile device and a bargain price.
Build quality seem good and the (rechargeable) battery gives about 4 hours of playing time.

date. Cannot buy spares. It does not connect to any online app to be able to read data away from site. Once something goes wrong with any of the outside parts, it is then useless. For an item that is designed to be used outdoors, a 12 month warranty is useless. Do yourself a favour, and buy any other similar product, as many are much cheaper, and come with longer warranties. An outdoor product that dies after 13 months is pathetic.

speaker fits the bill very nicely.
There are 2 speakers to this set, twisted together as one and contained in a neat silicon cover – you can use it as one unit or two separate speakers to get true left / right stereo sound – simply remove the 2 speakers (they are twist locked together) and space them apart or as we do, put them on each side of the pool near where we are swimming to get a very clear and close TV sound next to the pool.
The speakers could be used in any outdoor application – beach, boat, camping etc., etc. The speakers are rated as waterproof (IPX67) and manufacturer says they can be submerged up to 1 metre depth in water – they are obviously not underwater speakers but splashes of water from a pool, rain or the beach are not going to damage them.
The sound output is not going to run a party or disco, but for easy listening by the pool (they handle the TV sound very clearly with enough volume) and close by listening of your music from media device, phone etc. they are very good and the sound is good without being over the top. The speakers are well made, well designed and put together. There is an acceptable level of bass which is good for a unit at this price point.
Some of the features: • IPx67 waterproof • True wireless stereo • Rechargeable 3.7v 1500ma battery in each speaker (comes with dual output micro usb cable to change both speakers at the same time from one charger) – 3 to 4 hours charge time • Run time up to 15 hours (depends on volume so could range from min 3hr – 15 hrs) • Can be used for hands free calls through phone • Output power is 15w RMS (2 x 7.5w) which is quite respectable for this sized and priced unit • Bluetooth 4.2 + EDR (Extended Data Rate – 3 time faster than std Bluetooth) – transmits up to 10m • Basic dimension – 210mm long x 81mm diameter, 750 grams weight • 2 speakers twist locked together and covered by removable silicon case Pros: • Good, clear sound output • Lightweight but well built – robust • Waterproof • Very easy to connect and operate – not complicated at all • Good value – good unit at this price Cons: • Would have liked to see a battery indicator on the unit (probably would add to the cost though) – not a deal breaker but would be nice to have • Would have liked more bass, but that’s probably personal preference
TT, CD, FM, BT RX that had so much promise – For $299 it looked like it could be the makings of a retro audio hub. Good: Well it works, kind of. Looks impressive. Multiple functions. TT… Read more
auto-return is unique and fast. Seems to be motor driven rather than platter-driven. Bad: Turntable platter is molded plastic rather than aluminium as it appears (advertised as a proper ‘transcription’ turntable). As a result it is not symmetrical and visibly wobbles up & down on rotation producing ‘wow’, luckily not very audible. The strobe light intended for speed monitoring & adjustment is just a dc-fed LED that doesn’t actually strobe so the platter markings mean nothing, and just blur together rather than appearing stationary as required. Speed adj slider works but is not the correct speed at centre detent. The arm is a stylish counterweight type, but the weight markings mean nothing when set up from zero balance. Need a weight gauge before you hit records with it! It has anti-skate but who knows how accurate it can possibly be. While the cartridge is very decent (AT3600 but only 50hr sapphire/ruby stylus), the RIAA eq is VERY wrong. Whilst initially sounding impressively clear, it hasn’t the correct bass boost so soon sounds very aggressive and tinny. Forget using the available phono-direct function with an external pre-amp. It just attenuates the existing output so it’s hummy and hissy. It also kills the other inputs so can only be a TT in this mode. The FM-only radio works OK but can only be used with supplied fixed wire antenna. No socket for ext ant. Bluetooth receiver seems to work OK. Had no dropouts and sounds respectable with iPhone. CD player loads reasonably quickly but is picky with discs. Some skip, some won’t play in later tracks without glitches. Also, due to wrong phono eq, CDs sound muffled in comparison to vinyl; the complete opposite of what you’d expect. You can’t directly go to a function. You have to cycle through inputs and it’s really slow and laggy. Be prepared to be blasted as levels aren’t consistent. Remote seems to work OK. Line-in (3.5mm stereo socket) works. Never tried SD card functions. If you’re after a vinyl player to enjoy records again, this isn’t it. Spend the same or less money on an AT-LP60 variant. If you’re after a multi-function hub and can forgive its many shortcomings, then it may be for you. I’ve given up using it so can’t comment on longevity.
This STB won't help Digitech's reputation – A while ago I stupidly managed to break the antenna connector of the back of my original Dick Smith set top box. I ended up buying a later model off… Read more
Ebay supposedly unused - but wasn't and it stopped recording. Recently I ended up buying a Digitech 1080 HD box. The following are the problems I've found with it along with the 'back up service'.
1. I found the box appears to be picking up 60 cycles mains hum buzz. The circuitry in this box appears to be almost identical to the original Dick Smith box as the graphics for the menu appear to be the same. I found the DS to generally be very good but the Digitech box picks up this incredibly annoying buzz - I don't think I've heard this noise since we had a valve tv in the late 1950's. The distributors (Electus) suggested re scanning all channels which I did twice - the buzz is still there when a a 'still' is shown on the program and when using the 'UP' key to change stations. Ive checked all connections.
2. It appears the picture quality isn't as good as the amazing quality from the DS box. The picture quality from the DS box was startlingly good with my Sony Trinitron (CRT) tv. Currently the colour balance with the new box is 'iffy' and I've fiddled a lot with the tv settings to try to get it right.
3. The manual doesn't have arrows pointing to the unmarked keys on the remote control, so you have to guess. This is really poor. The distributor didn't help much when I emailed them and asked them to re write the remote diagram page.
4. Electus - who distribute Digitech - don't have a service division you can contact. Hard to believe. If you need back up service for an STB, try another brand. This box MAY work with your tv, but the reception I get in my area quality wise is generally very good.

110dB. They come no where near that. Frequency Range is stated as 20-20000Hz. They perform very badly below 100Hz. The worst is that Jaycar will not accept them back if opened but you cannot test quality in store. DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH
These headphones look good and are comfortable however despite positive reviews on the retailers website the Active Noise Cancelling feature just does not work. They are cheap headphones and you will get what you pay for.
