Hello, my 65 litre fridge ,only used for a couple days 12 months ago from 240v plug , now only starts then stops with the same plug , yet if I plug into my 12 v car plug stars and runs fine , the green light on the 240 lead flashes on and off , no continues light

I Have a 65 litre dual zone. When on 240 volt runs fine. Plug into 12 volt in the camper and we start to have issues. Either The fan will run but the compressor does not kick in or it will cycle with compressor starting then everything stops and then it tries to start again constantly repeating this cycle. The temp is set on both sides a 3 degrees. By the time we got home yesterday the display was showing 15 on each side. We are going to Cape York this year and at this rate this fridge will not be going with us... I am using a 120 amp hour battery and the volt meter is showing 12.7 volts.
Cables from the battery to the fridge are more than likely too thin. This is a fairly common issue with fridge freezers
I should have added I purchased and installed the recommended Kings Wiring and plug when I purchased the fridge...this is the below description from Kings...so I dont see how this can be the issue...unless they are as good as their fridges??

Hi there , I have a 70l dual zone , the small side is being cooled when ever the fridge runs even it is below the set temp while the large side struggles to get down to temp , any ideas ???

Hi there just after some help. I just bought a 75 lrt dual zone fridge freezer. Both sides are set at the highest temperatures been 10 degrees. Both sides are freezing every thing . I have a cover for the fridge . Which is not reversible but the lids are ? . Thanks for any help.

Courtney you really need to know how these fridges work. Ppl are asking for advice and just palming them off to the "4x4 team" is getting old.

I have the 75l dual zone, during summer I've had the unit go nuts and freeze everything in side, losing dozens of drinks. cover is always on and it's out of direct sun light under my canopy. in the last two weeks it will not get cold at all, no errors displayed and I can hear fan/compressor running, I've taken it out of the car and plugged it in to 240v with the same result. help needed

I have a 65 l single zone fridge, never been run on 12v, but not getting cold, the controller seems to work, if I try to set it to -16, it just returns to the figure on the display. The compressor light comes on and the fan is running. Any thoughts or suggestions please.
Don't count on an answer too soon buddy I have asked a question 5 hours ago but good luck and mine is brand new and the temperature is all over the place the freezer on one side gets cold properly but it causes the other side to go into the minus as well even when set 2to + 4 hope you get it fixed mate

I've had the same issues in summer, fridge is under canopy. lost dozens of drinks. had to unplug to reset fridge. now my fridge won't get cold at all under 12 months old.
They say its got 2 years warranty,a lot of trouble but dont give in.
I've got a 70 l dual looking at the fridge is right looking because I keep turning the right side up but it goes below the desired temp

Hi, have had a 70l dual zone for approx 4yrs now and the grey latch on lid that clips it closed has cracked and about to fall off. Hoping there are replacement parts available and wondering where? Have had no other issues with the product and we use it regularly. Regards Michael

I have a 70lt Duel zone fridge/freezer. I set both sides to -18 degrees but will only get to 7 degrees and this is when it's running on 240v or 12v. I live in a remote area so taking it to a shop is near impossible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, Setup: 1. Adjust the low voltage cut-off switch to option 3/low voltage. a. The switch can often get caught on option 2 – make sure you adjust the switch 5-10 times to ensure it is properly set at option 3. 2. Turn fridge off and remove plugs from back, double checking that all cables are properly wired to the wall. 3. Allow fridge to sit for 15 minutes to reset CPU and inverter board. 4. Reconnect power cable to fridge and turn on. a. For best results you should connect fridge into wall using 240V. i. Alternatively, if using 12V ensure battery is at full charge (ideally >12.6V). 1. If you don’t have a battery, connect fridge to the 12V cigarette plug on your dashboard and ensure the car is fully running.
Testing: 1. After 40 seconds the fan should kick in. Put hand over the grill – you should feel the fan blowing. 2. After 5 seconds the compressor should kick in. You’ll be able to feel it on the fridge. 3. Wait 15-30 minutes to see if the fridge cools down to the desired value. This should resolve the issue 90% of the time. Please let me know if this helps with your fridge.

Can one side be tuned off
Hi there, The 65L fridge is a single zone, if this question is for our newer dual zones, no, one side cannot be turned off. But you can set both sides to the same temp. Regards, Mia
I have a kings 70) dual zone and I'm finding that the freezer will stay running and the fridge will not cool. Eg freezer set for -6 but stays running and and are getting over -20 but the fridge will be hot. Anyone had this issue before?

Avoid kings all together they don’t give refunds and the warranty and worth the shit they written on waiting to here back from consumer affairs as they expect you to be satisfied with store credit we don’t want to buy any more from this money hungry place in future Shop elsewhere unless u don’t mind buying cheap products with no warranty

Still not cooling, all meat now defrosted a couple of days into a 3 week camp. We drove for 2.75 hours to a store hopefully swap the fridge. The store manager was not overly supportive, It would take 2 days to test, and then send away. This did not assist us, we were hoping 4wd supercentre would stand by its product and swap the fridge, very disappointed and frustrated.
Still needing a fridge we had to go and buy one. Can you please look into this poor support so it doesn't effect someone else and we would like to secure a refund as the fridge is no longer required.

Hi, have a kings 75l dual zone fridge freezer attached to 138ah battery and 250w solar blanket. Battery on 12.8v and I had solar blanket connected up and was in the sun all day yesterday on a camping trip. Freezer said it was minus 11 and I only had a plastic bottle of mount Franklin water inside it and after 6 hours water was only cold but not frozen, not even icy. Temperature I set to was minus 18 for both the zones but minus 11 is all it would get to and only minus 4 on the fridge side. Both were cold but not icy and both wouldn't go any lower than that in temperature. First use, 2 months old.
sorry to hear ,take it back and buy a evakool 5 years on everything ,kings have a bad name for their fridges

Does anyone know what LL means on the temp screen? 75L Stayzcool dual zone. Happens when plugged into both 240v and 12v. Right side of screen. Compressor turns off when displayed.
