Adventure Kings Fridges/Freezers Dual Zone Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi I have an upright 110l fridge/freezer and when I turn it on the temperature displays for a few seconds then E3 comes up.
Kara
Hi Kara, An E3 error on our fridges usually indicates and issue with the motor starting up on the unit. We generally recommend unplugging the unit entirely, then restarting after a 5 minute wait. If this does not fix the issue for you, we would recommend reaching out to our team at social@4wdsupacentre.com.au with your order details for further assistance.

Fridge just over 3 years old, switches on, compressor won't kick in, done restart, same if on 12v or 240?
Hi Steve, We are sorry to hear you are having difficulties with the fridge. We would be recommend getting our team to look into the fridge to see what the issue is and how to best fix. You can do this by either bringing the unit into your closest company store, or starting a claim with or online team here - external link

Hi I have a adventure kings 90l fridge freezer only a year old, connected to a kings 120amp lithium battery. The battery gets charged by my vans main battery when its running. I find that when the van is turned off I only get about 4 hrs until its drops voltage and then the fridge freezer turns off. Is this normal?
Hi Ross, This could depend on a variety of factors. Feel free to contact us on social@4wdsupacentre.com.au with a screenshot of this question and we can definitely have a look into this for you! Cheers, Courtney
I have kings 90 ltr dual zone fridge freezer. It worked great for a week but when I was in Cairns for a few days the car was on 12 volt system with a Solar panel charging setup. I was parked under a big Mango tree for a few days and the battery went flat. After starting the car the main battery charged the other battery and the unit started working again but only the freezer side... There no error codes to and I've tried resetting it by turning off power etc. But no change... Even on 240 volts only the freezer works...what would the problem be?
Hi Junior, We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your fridge/freezer. If only one of the sides is turning on, we would recommend trying to turn on that particular side. If you have the MKI version of the fridge, you can turn on the side by pressing and holding on both the + and - buttons at the same time. If you have the newer MKII fridge, you would need to press and hold the + and setting buttons if it is the left side of the unit, or press and hold the - and setting buttons if it is the right side of the unit.
If this does not help fix the issue, please reach out to us directly by either giving us a call at 1800 88 39 64 or via email at social@4wdsupacentre.com.au so we can best help with resolving this issue for you.

Got wet and control panel stopped working replaced it and it read -20 and won"t start
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out, we're very sorry to hear the item may have been damaged by water, while it's difficult to say without looking at the item, it may be as simple as replacing the control board.
Regards, Andrew
Hi we have a 90lt dual zone. The freezer side displays -31 even though we have it set at -2. Have tried power off to reset but doesn't fix it. Can u help.
Hi Deborah, While it is tough to troubleshoot without being able to see the unit, the standard check would be to totally disconnect the unit, hold the power button for 15 seconds then reboot it, should the issue occur past this point we would recommend running the unit by one of our main storefronts so that we may assist from there.

Bought a 75 litre stayzcool fridge freezer today. The lids seem really strong and was wondering if anyone sits on them. I weigh 83 kgs, looks like it will hold up?
Hi Clive,
Thank you for the question, while it wouldn't immediately be damaged we would recommend against it as you would slowly cause warping which would cause the seals to lose efficiency and increase the power use.
Regards, Andrew
Hi. How do you adjust the temperature on the freezer side of the unit? There's one + and one - button on the left side near the fridge temp display and only regulates the fridge temperature.
Hi Tracey, Thank you for taking the time to leave this question, this does depend on which model of fridge you have, with that said if you locate the item on our main store page, under the specifications section you can find the unit manual which generally outlines the process for individual bin settings.

Hi I have a 75l stayzcool dual zone that's about 14 months old and mostly runs on 240v.its used ad a beer fridge in my living room and the odd camping trip it's never missed a beat set at -3/-4 on average today we came home to it not on and no signs of life to turn back on.is it toast or a simple fuse, all house fuses and circuit boards/breakers and points seem normal
Hi Nathan,
Apologies for the delay on this one, would you by any chance be nearby to one of our storefronts, as that's still well within warranty period and we can get the unit assessed for you.
Regards, Andrew
Hi guys,my closest store that sells kings is 'boss outdoors' in nowra 2541.otherwise it's a 2 hour drive for me from the store of purchase which is in Campbelltown n.s.w are they able to assist or are they just a distributor?
Hi there,
The Nowra store would be a dealer so they wouldn't be able to assist sadly, with that said, we do also have a claims form available online as well should the store be too far out (such as a four hour round trip).
I have had a 90-liter dual zone fridge for about 2 years now and on the last 40-degree day it just stopped working all was fine until then. I have tried to restart and reset the fridge nothing seems to work. I am not sure if it is worth getting fixed as it may cost more than a new one. I wonder if anyone has had the same problem and how much it cost them to fix. Thankyou
Hi there, We are sorry to hear your fridge has stopped working. We would be happy to take a look into this if this is still under the warranty period if you could please contact us on social@4wdsupacentre.com.au with a screenshot of this comment and your order number. Regards, Courtney

Hi I have a kings 90 ltr fridge freezer plugged in too mains power and it says low voltage coming up with e1 Replaced the sunroof power component. Any advise I've taken this over seas worked fine for four months then lost all power I took it to fridge centre they replaced sun zoo board now power is on but say low voltage when plugged into mains power
Hi Dean, thank you for the question, it's a toughie to say based only on text, general rule of thumb for E1 on steady power sources is the connection of the cable, if it's been frayed by being tied too tight, or isn't sitting in the socket right the rapid on/off of power will trigger E1.
Regards, Andrew
Hi mate I put a new sunroof board that the box the black one. It had no power at all now I only have power one side light but the temp lights are 9n both sides.low voltage e1 flashes on both screen and display temp in side fridge and the fridge won't start running at all.
Meant to be zoolong board
Sun zoo phone playing up
Hi there,
it may well be that the board has been affected as some powerpoint adaptors can be a little touch and go, however beyond that it's hard to advise with the information to hand.
Regards, Andrew
What price is it how good are they
Hi Paul, Thank you for the question, I can advise that our current 90L Stayzcool is $599 today down from their usual $849, in regards to how good the unit is I cant say without bias on that front, as I've had one of our Stayzcool units since their launch in '21 personally not having it miss a beat and work for the team on top of that too, so pinch of salt on that front.
Regards, Andrew
Hard to say how good any brand of fridge is these days I've had quite a few over the past 30yrs all you can do is search reviews on different sites and pick something that seems to get more consistent positive results that suits your needs and see how it goes don't dwell on it for too long it will make the choice harder. Even the most expensive brands have failures It's usually the quality of the electrical components used these days that fail. It's unfortunate that companies spend time designing and making good looking fridges only to fit inferior electrical components that let them down within the warranty period. Sorry I can't give a more positive answer hopefully you get something that serves you for a lot of yrs.
I have a kings 90l dual zone fridge freezer. Plugged in to get cold. But unit powers up but doesn't get cold. Fan is spinning and compressors is going. Doesn't seem to have gas leak. What possible issue am I looking for
Hi Pete, Thank you for the question, could be a few things as it's hard to say exactly without being able to go over the unit itself, sometimes it can be a power actuation issue, depending on whether it occurs on either 12v, 240v or both, the other can be that the temp sensor may have shifted from the wall.

I don't understand why people cannot contact their customer service line I did and found them effective
Is it normal for the display to be so dark you cat read it outside ?. Is there a way to brighten it
Hi Rick,
Thank you for the question, while I know the backlight is kept at low to minimise passive drain and may be dimmer in full sunlight, I would advise to reach out to our team directly as we may be able to assist.
Regards, Andrew
Is there a fuse on the 90l stayzcool fridge? My fridge is not turning on and I wanted to check the fuse.
Is it on AC or DC AC it's faulty check warranty with customer service on DC check input plug they are poor connection
No power on either
Hi Nathen, Thank you for reaching out, while this could be a dozen different things with the fridge, cables or overall system, if the item is still in warranty period we can have the unit assessed for you, that way we can at least work with you to find whether the issue is with the unit itself or an external factor.
Regards, Andrew

I have a 90 ltr fridge freezer that came with second hand van we purchased the unit is not cooling at all and is actually going up in temperature when connected to 240v
Hi Leon, Thank you for taking the time to write this question. Unfortunately as this is a second hand purchase and would be outside of the warranty period we are not able to assess this item, but you should be able to take this into our refridgeration technician who should be able to have a look at this for you. Regards, Courtney
