Hi Andy yes AKAI are manufactured in China as for Support in Mt Gambier I can’t answer that as I have never needed to contact AKAI as both my air conditioner units have preformed flawlessly over the past 4 to 5 years

They’re not worth the hassle… have a look around the internet; you will find others with the same rubbish experience.

Not too sure... but stay away from AKAI.

Mitsubishi haven't had problem but AKAI got it replaced 3 times before i pulled the pin
