VerifiedHonestly BOQ do you sit back and ask yourselves, how many people can I screw over today by stopping third-party access and uploading of bank statements. You have effectively stopped all CC and loan applications with any other financial company. A 1 star rating is seriously to good for you. Time to take my banking needs to a different company and hopefully other customers do the same. BOQ was an awesome bank once. Now it's nothing better than a 3rd rate credit union

Why is it taking longer times now just to payid to another person normally it goes in straight away but this time it’s just keeps processing the link around in circles
Hi Jamie, Thanks for reaching out! Please note, our BOQ Classic accounts do not have PayID or OSKO payments- this is only a feature on our Digital/myBOQ accounts. Transfers on our classic products will generally take between 1-2 working days to process. Hope this helps! - BOQ
I recently linked my iphone to my pc. The layout for internet banking defaulted to mobile format. how do I get the previous desktop format. It is much easier to use.

Hi Danielle, yes, they can. Smart Saver accounts are linked to an everyday transaction account where customers are eligible for a bonus interest if eligibility guidelines are met. Thanks.
We have a $500k term deposit maturing soon that we need to transfer to our solicitor’s trust account at Maquarie Bank the same day (as cleared funds) for a property settlement the following day. How can we best organise things so that happens smoothly. Happy to pay any necessary transfer fees to make sure that this goes through on the day.
Hi MJE! The best course of action would be to get in touch with your branch - advise your plans and they can arrange for your funds to be transferred to the account of your choice. They can also discuss your transfer options to ensure it gets there on time! Thank you
We have done that but have been advised that whilst they can transfer the proceeds straight to our Solicitor’s Trust account that they can’t guarantee that the cleared funds will land in their account on the same day. They have also advised that proceeds can be deposited to one of our BOQ accounts and we can then go into the branch and have them transferred to our solicitor’s Trust account at Maquarie but once again - no guarantees that they will receive the funds the same day. This also means at least an hour’s drive each way for us as BOQ have closed the local branch - we’re happy to make the trip but need to have certainty that our solicitor will receive the funds on time. (& we have had problems in the past with transfers from BOQ to other banks being slow). This is very frustrating as when we paid the deposit from a Westpac account the funds went into the agent’s trust account straight away and CBA have also advised that same day transfers are not a problem. We are just looking for advice on how to make sure this goes smoothly so that our solicitor receives the cleared funds on time.

We have already done this and they have been unable to alleviate our concerns or give us any guarantees that a transfer will go through on the same business day even if we arrive at the branch as soon as it opens. Surely you must have an option for same day transfers ? - we are happy to pay any fees involved and are happy to attend a branch first thing in the morning in question to sign documents and action the transfer. As per my last message to you - online transfers that we make from MYBOQ to other banks first thing in the morning are consistently not being processed until after business hours. Please advise what our best options are as a matter of urgency.

Why are all your replies to our reviews generic and why is there only one review that says his online transfer experience are excellent and so fast compared to other banks when that is false and misleading, is it a made up review from the bank to make you appealing to attract new clients? I should imagine it would have legal implications if that’s the case considering my own and so many others experience
Hi Paul – we have been working on a new banking platform called MyBOQ which is available for new customers on select accounts. This does have improved functionality over our other platform and the intention is to bring all customers over to this platform eventually. Understandably, we need to iron out any kinks before bringing everyone over to the same platform to ensure their banking isn’t adversely affected in the transition. Once it is time to make the jump, we will let our customers know. We are limited in what we are allowed to communicate on this site, which can result in some responses feeling ‘generic’ due to those restrictions. We direct customers to our complaints page where their circumstances can be discussed more freely by an authorised representative and to ensure that the feedback is lodged formally and reported on. I bank with Commonwealth however my real estate tenants bank with BOQ and the 1st of every month they process a bank transfer from their BOQ account to my commonwealth account and every time it takes minimum 24 hours and some times up to 3 days. Why does it take BOQ so long to process when almost every other bank is pretty instant now days even if the transfer is between different banks?
Hi there! Thanks for your question. We currently do not support Osko payments for many of our account types, meaning the payments are then processed as a standard bank transfer. This usually takes 1-2 business days depending on the time of day the customer requests the transfer.
Even standard bank transfers between majority of banks, at least the big 4 clear the same day, including weekends. So I go back to my original question, why does it take banks transfers from BOQ to other banks so long to process, not to mention zero processing all together over weekends. If it’s not having Osko payments as the reason BOQ times are days slower than everyone else why do you not implement this what is now simple piece of technology? What are BOQs plans to address this glaring shortfall highlighted by many unhappy customers?

Surely you are working tirelessly in the back ground to address the issues and bring BOQ up to speed with the rest of the world’s major banking institutions? I’m sure the customers who are not overly satisfied with the services they receive from BOQ would welcome an honest insight into how the bank is going about addressing their concerns.
Implementing Osko/NPP is more complex than you may realise, as it is actually a service owned by Australia Post, just like BPAY. This means that not only must there be the infrastructure, but also the agreement between the bank and them to provide the service for their accounts. This means some smaller banks may not yet have the full support/coverage as the bigger banks would have been able to implement. At this stage, we only have Osko/NPP available for our MyBOQ accounts but are working towards expanding this in the future to other accounts we provide. Hi Cassie - payments are processed in batches, and over the Christmas period there may have been delays due to the Public Holidays. Please note that even if you regularly receive funds on a certain date or time, this is not guaranteed as an emergency payment for another Centrelink customer may push you into a later batch, resulting in it being in your account a little later than usual.
Yeah I totally agree shittestbanking app in the world I’m about to be kicked out of my house never worried b4 just used to go get a loan an pay it off if I got behind joined my boq in the last 12 months only to find out now not one single loan company accepts Myboq because it’s not a internet banking app or even the old way of emailing bank statements so Thankyou Myboq you have now totally screwed me. I have my 75 year old mother an my 14 year old living with me so it’s not just me you’ve brought unknown financial hardship not 1 single company I can use 1 month behind in rent an no way of getting money within 5 days I should sue you guys for having me change my accounts to this absolutely ridiculously useless thing u call a banking app

Jess, in my opinion your problems will really commence once your loan is approved. Honestly use another bank, you don’t want an approval from BOQ.

Hi Joker G.! While our MyBOQ platform supports Osko, there is a daily limit of $1000. Depending on your account, you may be able to request a wire transfer at a branch which will be received within 2 hours if processed before 4pm AEST (payments processed after this time will be received the next business day).
