I have a model WAP28380AU the cycle finished but the door would not unlock. I used the emergency release which unlocked the door but now I am still unable to use as the key is still showing on the display when I try to put a new load of washing in. Please help need to get my washing finished
Hi Nichole, To unlock the door you need to activate two buttons at once - RPM & Ready In. This should release the lock. You will then need to find out what the problem is, it may just be the drain catchment needs to be cleaned out, if you don't have your manual check it out online. Easy to do, you may find it is not able to drain, just clean out all the money, hair, hair bands etc. and it should be fine. But don't ignore this warning, it's just saying please clean me! Hope this helps.
Check small door on bottom open the unscrew drain plug it may have a plastic tag to pull to open door
Is it possible to do a spin only, have used the spin and drain setting however the machine does not spin dry?
It just does a slow spin.
Hi lwgordyn, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAP28380AU Washing machine. To complete a spin only, just choose the spin drain cycle and then remove the drain portion of the cycle in the additional options menu of the appliance.

I have model WAP28380AU i think - could u pls tell me wat the super 15/30 means on the dial & how do u get it to 30... thanks
I don't have WAP28380AU but my model has super 15/30 as well. If you see speed perfect, it will change from 15 to 30.
Super 15/30 is is an extra short program for lightly soiled small amounts of laundry up to 2.0/3.5kg respectively. The 15 program will come up first but if you wish to change it to 30, press the lit up button called speed perfect. The time will also change, to say 20 mins if you press other add on buttons like extra rinse.
Machine is not spinning for few weeks now, what could be the issue?
Wow well that's not good. could be something simple , but I would call or email Bosch ask them the question . You might be able to sort it yourself with their help. Good luck
Thanks yes done that but only thing Bosch offered was to check the filter in the machine! So booked the service now.

Hi. I have someone from the shop I purchased it from coming out today and hopefully they can help fix it. Thankyou so much for getting back to me though. :)
With the 'quick' cycle 15/30 min, what is the water temperature set at?
According to the overview of programmes, the default temperature for these quick cycles is cold because it the are only intended for lightly soiled clothing. However, you can use the control panel to increase the temperature. I have not used this feature yet so I'm not sure what temperatures can be selected but I would presume it can be increased to at least 40 degrees C.
Thanks Lesley, I have now view the item in store and been advised, as you say, only intended for lightly soiled and a small wash, that the default setting is 'cold'. Thank you for replying.
Glad to be of assistance.
Hi
We're considering buying this model but I just noticed in the brochure that it doesn't have a "quilt" programme. Is there some other way it will wash dooners and blankets? or do we have to go up to the series 8 for that?
Thanks
Karyn
I haven't washed a doona yet but I don't see why you can't use any of the available programmes on the machine. The programmes are generally classified by fibre type eg cotton, wool, silk, synthetic and temperature ranging from cold to 60 degrees C. You just need to check the care labelling requirements of the doona you need to wash and select the appropriate wash cycle.
Hi Karyn M, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAP28380AU Washing Machine. In this model we recommend using the Easy Care program on a temperature of 40 degrees for blankets and bedding.

I have a problem with the way my towels are after washing - very stiff and mattered looking also have a problem replacing the front cover on the drainage section. Any suggestion?
Hi fussy, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAP28380AU Washing Machine. It has been found with front load washing machines across the market that towels can be found to be flat and hard to the touch. The wash quality in a front loader is of a very high standard and the high spin speed can cause the problem.
To solve this problem we would suggest a few things:
1.Reduce the amount of detergent in the wash, so for a full load of towels, only use a quarter of a scoop or cap. Overdosing detergent will also cause hard stiff clothes, not just towels.
2.Make sure you use front loading only powder/liquid detergent.
3.Reduce the spin speed on the cycle to about 700 - 800 as a higher spin will squash the pile on the towel as they hit the drum.
4.When the towels are taken out of the machine, give them a good shake to fluff up the pile again before you put them on the line.
5.Try not to leave the towels in direct sunlight on the line as this can scorch the fibre and make the towels even harder.
6.If you have a Dryer at home, you can try putting them on a low temperature for a few minutes and that should bring them back to life.
