Bosch Avantixx WAS28464AU Questions & Answers
VerifiedRandomly through any of the washing cycles the machine will switch on "pause". This will happen about 5 times during any of the phases of the wash. So I have to be there to press the start button each time.
My machine is just dead no lights coming on or nothing. I made sure the power is on. Is there a fuse or something I must look at or what do I need to do. Thanks

We also have had this issue intermitten and we just had a repairer out under product care extended warranty. Started in 2018 and now happens more often, looking inside with repairer no real reason it happens but the coil springs must connect sometimes and sets the delay button off. Repairer said he has seen it once before so we will see if I get a replacement display or a new machine under our warranty
We've had the same issue! Find it does it often when the humidity is high. We got a replacement screen under warranty but it didn't fix it. And I think the scratched the machine when doing the screen because we now have a be rust issue directly under the screen. Our seal has also lost a chunk from it so it leaks every wash! So annoying!
Hi my machine has E-67 on the screen what does this mean?

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I don't have the User Manual (and can't find it anywhere online neither). I rang the Customer Service on the number you mentioned and they couldn't help me neither... They didn't know how to proceed on this particular Washing Machine to silence the beeps, and they couldn't find the User Manual neither! They said they were going to contact the Head Office for them to send me the information from a hard copy but that's 2 days now and I didn't get anything...
Looking forward to resolve the issue sooner than later,
Regards,
L F
I found the answer on page 19 of the user manual. 1. Set the program selector from off to position 1. 2. Press the start button and turn the program selector to position 2 at the same time (important that you do it at the same time).
3. The current volume should be displayed (0 = off, 1 = quiet, 2 = medium, 3 = loud, 4 = very loud).
4. Press the Ready In button to adjust the volume.
5. Turn off to end the process.

Hi guys thanks and i have opened the door. However the light keeps flashing perhaps indicating an imbalance. I just cant get this ( even though i'm an engineer!0 and I'm beginning to wish I'd never bought a bosch.
Thank you, i have opened the door but the drum balance light keeps flashing even though the machine is empty. Any thoughts?
Hi Graeme, If you have the user manual, would you mind telling me what is on page 6 under Signals? I'm trying to stop the beeps of the washing machine but i don't have the user manual and neither After Sale Support or Head Office will help me (as, would you believe, they don't have the user manual neither!!!).
Hope you find a solution to your question and thank you if you can help!
Lynn

Hi Deb, I've got the same question and After Sale Support gave me the same answer so I rang as I can't find the user manual (at home and online -after searching for hours on the net). The thing is, they can't help me with silencing the beeps of buttons and end cycle as they don't have the user manual neither !!!
They said they will contact the Head office and come back to me but after a week I didn't hear anything so I rang back and now they tell me that's it's sure not the Head Office have the user manual neither!!! Come on! The Wasing machine is only 2 years old!!! That's so frustrating!!!
So I was wondering if you got in touch with a user manual and if you could help me passing on what is written on page 6 under Signals..?
Many thanks,
Lynn
Hi there, I have a WAS28464AU and I wasn't given a manual only installation instructions.
My mother has somehow turned on the child lock - how can I turn it off?
Hi SallD, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAS28464AU Washing Machine. To deactivate the childproof lock: – Touch and hold the key button until the key symbol turns off; – Release the button.
For this to be successful the program dial must be on the same program it was on when the child lock was activated.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact our After Sales Support team on 1300 369 744 during business hours.

Extract from my manual: Childlock (E 3 sec.) You can lock the washing machine to prevent the functions you have set from being changed inadvertently. To do this, activate the childproof lock when the program has started.
To activate/deactivate, press and hold the rpm and Ready in//Finished in buttons at the same time for approx. three seconds. The E symbol appears in the display panel. ■ E lights up: The childproof lock is active. ■ E flashes: The childproof lock is active and the program selector has been adjusted. To deactivate the childproof lock, reset the program selector to the initial program. The symbol lights up again. Note: To avoid the program to terminate, do not turn the program selector beyond the Off position. Note: The childproof lock remains active after the program has ended and the appliance is switched off. You must always deactivate the childproof lock if you want to start a new program.

We've owned the Bosch 8kg Avantixx front loader for 11 months and it has been absolutely fabulous. Last week I set a perfectly normal 60deg cotton cycle and the control panel started beeping at random times during the cycle and flashing through different water temps and spin rpm numbers. The key logo beeped and flashed on and off numerous times throughout the cycle too without me touching anything. The machine went on to finish the load. I assumed the load/machine was readjusting itself, but now it does this for every cycle ... it randomly selects its own spin, temp, door lock, beeps and adds on hours of time to a wash cycle. It seems like a computer/control panel problem. Does anyone know if this is a common problem with these machines?

Have recently purchased. I have tried several cycles with and without fabric softener but towels come out extremely hard and scratchy. This has never been an issue with previous machines without softener so it is not my water quality. What is the answer to getting towels at least usable?
I am not sure, I have also noticed that, I suggest you ask Bosch. I usually use a dryer which automatically solves this issue, but if you dry your stuff on fresh air, I do not know what to suggest :(
Hi Judy Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAS28464AU washing machine. We appreciate you letting us know the methods you have taken to try and reduce the 'scratchy' feeling of your towels. The wash quality in a front loader is of extreme high quality and the high spin cycles available on front load washing machines can cause towels to come out feeling hard to touch.
We suggest trying the following:
-Reduce the amount of detergent in the wash, so for a full load of towels, only use a quarter of a scoop or cap. Overdosing detergent will also cause hard stiff clothes, not just towels.
-Make sure you use front loading only powder.
-Reduce the spin speed on the cycle to about 700 - 800 as a higher spin will squash the pile on the towel as they hit the drum.
-When the towels are taken out of the machine, give them a good shake to fluff up the pile again before you put them on the line.
-Try not to leave the towels in direct sunlight on the line as this can scorch the fibre and make the towels even harder.
-If you have a Dryer at home, you can try putting them on a low temperature for a few minutes and that should bring them back to life.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact our After Sales Support team on 1300 369 744 during business hours.

Have tried lowering spin to 600 and using 1/4 scoop of powder. Still hard as rocks. I have been doing laundry for over 40 years and have never had such dreadful results with towels even when line drying them in full summer sun.
You also suggest I user a dryer. This has never been necessary before.. Nowhere in the product or sales material did it say I needed a dryer to get satisfactory results. if this is the case then I would say the washing machine is not fit for purpose,
What sort of reply is this . My answer may help other Australians to avoid a mispurchase but you latest response s does nothing to rectify a significant issue with this machine.which I will reiterate is not fit for purpose. What is my avenue of recourse.
