Same thing going on here as well, I think Bosch should do a recall and fix this issue free of ALL CHARGES. Fkn electronic crap, bring back the Kirby, couldn't kill em with an Elephant Gun. Bosch on the other hand die of fright when you turn them on.!!

Same. Mine has been cutting out now for so long. I maintain it, bought a new filter, and keep the other filter areas very clean. It's really poor. I'd like something done about it.

My Bosch Zoo,o control sensor has cut out every Few minutes since I bought it 4 years ago it went for a warranty check but lasted 2 days and started cutting out and have put up with it ever since . I clean two filters one in cylinder and one behind the plate right hand side inside every few weeks they are usually reasonably clean. is there a third filter that may be causing this annoyance? That I cannot find

supakio01
supakio01

From my experience, it sounds like you are doing everything right. I used to clean the barrel filter with a soft brush to help get as many clumps of dust out as possible. Then it would be good for a reasonable amount of vacuums before the sensor would start tripping again.

jack H
jack H

thanks sounds like a common issue bad design, I hose my filter every month and dry it out but still does not stop the constant sensor issue.

Same as other people- replaced the filter and still the sensor is on and cuts out. Awful lot of money for the hoover and filter and still not working. Mine is just out of warenty- don't want to spend £200 on a hoover every year- what can I do?

Mine cost $600 ++ Same problem. Is there a faulty sensor in some of these vaccuums. I purchased because my son's was so good and still is. Mine unfortunately has the dreaded sensor problem.

Good day, Looking through the responses the standard response to the question of the Every 30 secs it self cleans itself then after 3 attempts just sends itself into slow mode and does nothing question is the same clean the filters which DOES NOT WORK. How do we fix this???

CeI
CeI

We never could. We'd blow out the filter, canister and turbo head with air compressor, and itd be fine for two vacuums, then back to that. We've since given the Bosch to friends and bought a Miele, and love it!

If you're is under warranty - or even if it's not - I'd hassle Bosch for help and hopefully replacement.

My Bosch animal pro bagless is just put of warranty by 6 months. About 4 months ago it stopped with suction with the metal stick part on but if I use the hose and no metal stick I DO oget minimal but SOME suction.I was at Harvey Norman yesterday. They said it was purchased in June 2015. The lady suggested taking out and washing the lifetime guarantee filter in the side when you take the bagless collection chsmberout.

I've done as said still to no avail. I have a Golden Retriever in my house as well as myself my hubby 4 kids and birds..

It sucks AT THE VACUUM BUT NOT once connected whst else COULD the problem be. It was $800 normally but do I brought it on special and again they knocked it down to $550 and the for that money you expect something to last any ideas please?

It stops running every 20 seconds now! My husband has been using it for the last year as he came home with it after I asked him to buy a Voltra, Miele or Dyson. The salesman at Harvey Norman told him it was better than the 3 brands I mentioned. As my husband has trouble admitting he was conned he's been using it. He has to blast the filter with the compressor twice to do our 2 bedroom home. Its a piece of garbage! This vacuum is the worst vacuum I've ever owned! Now my husband wants to know how to disconnect the sensor!! I'm saving for another vacuum!!

Me too, got conned by Harvey Norman. I have the same vacuum cleaner, same problem. Ready to smash it and claim on insurance. Where is that sensor and can i bypass it?

Fishing John
Fishing John

We had the same problem with our Bosch proanimal zoo vacuum cleaner. To clean the filter and take it out off its plastic surrounds you need to turn the the filter up side down you will see a screw type button with a slot next to it. This button needs to slide across to the circle. To do this hold the base ( thats with the handle) and turn the top half anti clock wise. Then the plastic surrounding will come right off. Any questions phone John 0432047824. Melbourne.

I bought a bagged Bosch pro animal zoo vacuum. after a few months of pure disappointment we took it back. we where then convinced to upgrade to the bagless one to be let down just as much. i am constantly cleaning out the filter, but this does not make a difference every 30 secs it self cleans itself then after 3 attempts just sends itself into slow mode and does nothing. i have to then switch it off and on again for the whole process so happen again. I am so disappointing in this vacuum and wish i had stuck to my first choice and not listened to the woman in Harvey Normans who obviously had no idea and must get paid by Bosch. Any ideas?

Ours started doing this after the 3rd time I used it. I told my husband to take it back to Harvey Norman but he said it was ok and he's do the vacuuming in future. I asked him to buy a Voltra or Meile and he came home with the Bosch Zoo's ProAnimal bagless so his pride wasn't going to admit he made a bad choice! The salesman there told him it was the best vac on the market! He has been using his compressor to blast out the dust 2 or 3 times while just vacuuming our 2 bedroom home. Now it's stopping every 15 or so seconds no matter how clean it is. Talk about a heavy cumbersome badly designed piece of junk!!! I'm never buying anything with BOSCH written on it again in my life. Maybe they should of stuck to making spark plugs!!!

I have a BGS5ZOOAU BOSCH RELAXX'X ZOO'O PRO ANIMAL, it seems to have limited suction even though the filters are cleaned and the pipes are all clear. I have been told that it's an hours drive to the nearest repairer to get it looked at under warranty which means taking a day off work. Has anyone else had a problem with suction on one of these vacuum cleaners?

Hi yes I sent mine back to be fix for this same reason and it cost me $70 plus 4hrs pay as we live a distance from the city of Adelaide. We were told to soak filter in warm soapy water every month it has worked but at the price of the vavcum cleaner I would expect the filter would have lasted more than a year as I have always air compressors my filter every month. New filter is about $120 which is rediculous I have put a written complaint into bosh about 6-9 wks ago and still no response this and our dud washing machine from bosh I wouldn't recommend BOSH for any household appliances

I also live in Christchurch NZ and my Bosch vacuum cleaner is doing the exact same thing happens to ours! The guy at Harvey Norman assured us this was the best vacuum cleaner out! The best for pets blaa blaa blaa! Well it stops to self clean every 30 seconds and to get up any pet hair I have to use the small car attachment!

It is so frustrating to use I want to smash it into tiny little pieces!

Bosch should be replacing or refunding everyone that brought this lemon! Such a waste of money!!! Very unhappy!!

bigboyblue
bigboyblue · BGS5ZOOOAU (Relaxx‘x Zoo‘o ProAnimal, Tornado Red)

Dear Bosch Official, do you have any answer other than the one asking us to call you with our problems???

My Zoo'o is the same as everyone else's, cuts out every few seconds and goes into cleaning mode, even after filter has been washed. So many people have this problem. If you posted a response on here maybe there wouldn't be a million and one versions of the same question!!!!

I will NEVER buy Bosch again. Thought German was good, but a $99 vacuum from Aldi outdoes this piece of absolute rubbish!!!

Martin
Martin

+1 Our Zoo'o Animal Pro started "cleaning" itself much more frequently after 2 years (indeed, the guarantuee period just had passed...), and now wants to clean itself every 2-3 minutes, after three times we have to turn the thing off and on to get it to work. We have washed the filter a coupld of times, but that does not help at all. This is not workable ofcourse. We sent it in to a Bosch service point, we could get a repair for 150 Euro (!!!) where they would clean the machine and replace some filters. When I asked what the problem was, they said it was our fault, we wouldn't have cleaned the machine properly. Well, I dare to doubt that very much.

So far for Bosch quality, and their service is also not good, as you also can see from the standard "call us" responses on this website.

The cord retracts when you pull it quickly. If you pull slowly it locks out so you can use it.... but if you step on it while using or reach the end of the cord it retracts often pulling out of socket ggrrrr. Nowhere to store brushes.

You can get them from Bosch direct, 1300 369 744. Just be aware some parts are really expensive. Depending on the issue and the cost, a replacement alternative brand may be better.
