Hi, how do you remove the secondary/rear drip tray from a 2 burner Crossray mini kitchen? No access to the rear of the BBQ unless you remove the whole back of the BBQ. Thanks in advance.
I have had a Crossray for 6 years and one element wont stay alight and another doesnt light SO I need someone on the Northern Beaches Sydney to come and repair - can you give me a contact pls
We have had our brand new 4 burner converted to natural gas with the Crossway conversion kit by a licensed plumber but, on first use, one of the burners isn’t working. There seems to be a faint bubbling sound from that burner but it doesn’t heat up. What is the likely cause and solution?
Hi KS,
Could you please send an email to our customer care team so they can investigate this further for you. sales@crossray.com.au

Has anyone put a flat plate in? Are they available to buy? Any recommendations on if you could put it straight on top of existing grill plates?
Hi Reece, We offer the below as an accessory, is this what you were after? external link Thank you Michelle from the Crossray Team
i have just bought a crossray 4 burner on trolley and when i had went to put on trolley i noticed the LPG hose connection is at the back not under bbq and I was just wondering how the to put the hose to gas bottle with out the hose being out in the open .or is just that way with the newer ones are. many thanks Judy
Hi Judy, The BBQ has been designed to have the LPG hose feed out the back of the BBQ and connect into the open space at the back where the bottle sits in. Let me know if you have any further questions Michelle from the Crossray Team
our reasonably new crossray bbq double fridge keeps changing temperature. Its winter and we are not really using the fridge although it is about 1/3 stocked with beer and softdrinks. We can set it down to 2 but it keeps changing and goes up as high as 5. It is on an outdoor alfresco area well under cover

Can the fridge be situated on the right hand side ?
I did not get the one with the fridge. I had both sides with 2 door cabinets (one side with sink). Either modules can be on the left/right as they're separate modules with it's own castor wheel. They're not joined together. I suspect it will be the same for the fridge but best to check with cross ray.
Hi Cas, Each component is separate, therefore you can locate the fridge on either the Left- or Right-hand side of the BBQ. Thank you Michelle from the Crossray team.
We've just started using our Crossray BBQ and have found the knobs get burning hot while in use, even during shorter cooks. Is this normal?
Hi Melanie, The gas knobs may get warm depending on the BBQ’s temperature, but they shouldn’t become hot enough to the point where you can’t touch them. Please send us your details and a few photos via email, and we’ll look into this further and assist you accordingly.
How long does a 4 burner take to heat up to 280 degrees
Probably about 5 mins. I thought it was very fast
Just checked. Definitely only just on 5 minutes
I have a 4 burner crossray and one of the igniters is not sparking. The other 3 light up any help appreciated. Thanks
Hi Richard,
Sounds like you may need a replacement ignition pack. Please send an email to sales@thermofilm.com.au with your details where we will be able to assist you further.
Hi everyone, just installed the double fridge and trying to work out if the light can be programmed to illuminate when a door is opened? I can manually switch the light on but the instructions are a little difficult to interpret about other light functions
Hi everyone, I have had my crossray for a while but know it’s struggling to heat up. It just seems to pulsate the flame
It sounds like you’re running a natural gas connection without changing the necessary burner fittings to accomodate. If this is the case you need a natural gas conversion kit. Crossray sells them.
Hi Alan,
It also could be that your jets are slightly blocked. Please send an email through and we will be able to give you some instructions on how to clean them.
I am currently putting together information for the cabinet maker to build around this. Looking at the user manual and the Build in Guide though, both downloaded from the Crossray website, they are inconsistent. For example the user manual says the width of the cutout needs to be 928mm, height 260mm, but the build in guide says width 921mm, 250mm height. So which is it?
Also, is there a minimum depth below the unit required for storage of the LPG cylinder (9kg)?
Hi Ben, The exact dimensions of the BBQs base/cut-out are 915mm wide x 250mm high. There is no minimum depth or clearance required below the BBQ for the LPG cylinder. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at sales@thermofilm.com.au
915, really? That's the exact dimension of the BBQ itself. Seems a bit tight.
Sometimes when my Crossray TCS4PL grill gets hot, even with the burners set to low, it starts leaking gas just before one of the burners(randomly), causing the gas to burn there. When this happens, the affected burner is no longer lit. To resolve the issue, I have to switch the burners off and then back on.
I’m using LPG, and the tank valve is only slightly opened. Could it be that the pressure is still too high?
Any suggestions on how to fix the issue?
Hi Alex,
Thank you for reaching out.
May I ask if you could send a short video or photo of the issue through to our email and we will be in touch to help you find a solution.
Can you use any brand rotisserie with this BBQ?
Hi Jeb,
Our rotisserie kits are made and designed specifically for our BBQs. However if you wish to use a different brand it is possible if the dimensions are correct.
Any further questions feel free to contact us at sales@thermofilm.com.au
My grills keep getting rusty. I had them replaced under warranty. New ones are rusty. baking soda/vinegar doesn't work. I use a cover on my bbq and it's under a roof. I'm told this is a product issue (when I had them replaced). Any idea what else I can do to remove the rust?
Same as me Chris. Have the genuine Crossray cover for whatever incremental benefit that is. BBQ is undercover. Would consider it's use/duty "light". But rusted grill plates. And to confirm it's not a batch issue, I also had the issue with the separately purchased hotplate.
I've just got my replacement plates under warranty and the suggestion of heat then oil and heat then oil repeated several times to prepare them for use seems ludicrous. And to have to do it routinely after use is not what I signed up for at all with a supposedly low maintenance, pyrolytic BBQ.
With my new ones I oiled and heated.....still rusted inside 4 months. And on their website they bang on about how their grills are rust proof. They're also a massive pain to clean in their design. Annoying because I like the BBQ, but grills are hardly a minor thing.
Hi everyone. I'm really keen to purchase a Crossray, but concerned about some reviews and comments thath the BBQ runs too hot. Grateful for any feedback - is excessive heat an issue? And why doesn't the company enable you to turn down the heat?
Hi Marcus, The temperature range on our 4 burner BBQ is 140-350 degrees Celsius. You can achieve 140 degrees with 1 burner on low. We did not want to further restrict the gas blow due to the fact that it may cause the burners to blow out by things such as wind.
Hi Marcus, If I want the heat right down I use only the front burners on low. The heat is still quite even.
How does the benchtop attach to the double door fridge? Also can the double door fridge attach to the BBQ unit? I have a DD fridge, 4 burner BBQ unit, Double door cabinet installed left to right. I know I can attach the BBQ and DD cabinet units but nothing to attach DD fridge and also hold on the benchtop. I assume you just place the benchtop onto the fridge and the weight holds it there and the DD fridge is just posiitioned next to the BBQ unit??
Hi Shep, The double fridge does not attached to the BBQ unit, due to the weight of the double fridge itself, this is not necessary. For the bench top to attached to the double fridge, you should have received a bracket in a box labelled (TCKAC-007) along with instructions.
If you did not receive this or have any other issues, please contact us sales@thermofilm.com.au and we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks, I contacted the retailer that I purchased it at and they had not included the screws or instructions. So all good now and resolved - looks good just need a hand to lift the BBQ onto it's cabinet. Then level everything up and attach my side cabinet onto the BBQ unit and we should be cooking!
Can anyone comment on the quality of the fridge? Will it keep things cool on a hot summer day? I can’t see any specs anywhere.
