Cubo Ai Plus Smart Baby Monitor Questions & Answers
Has anyone sent it to be fixed? Currently going through the same issue.
Mine stopped working after 2 years. They offered me a one off free replacement after gazillion chats. Got the replacement today in the mail, not sure if it’s a new monitor or refurbished one. Only time will tell how long it’s gonna last.
Hi Lita. I am in the exact predicament! My unit has stopped working after 2 years and 5 days lol. I'm reading through these reviews and I'm not hopeful. How did you get them to offer you a free replacement? And is the unit still functioning? Thank-you for taking the time to read this.
This is a question for Steven from Perth. We are having the same problem as you with our Cubo camera. Completely stopped working & we are going through the customer service process now. I’m interested to know how you arranged a refund, being in Australia (I’m in Sydney) as customer service have advised of the 45 day refund policy. Thank you in advance. — Cara
Australia has very strict consumer protection laws which all businesses must abide by if they are selling their products in Australia. This includes a generous replacement or refund policy if a product is found to be faulty or does not match its description.
There is many caveats to this including the length of time you have had the product… Generally any electronic product is covered for minimum 12 months in AU regardless of what the manufacturer tells you. It also takes into account the cost of an item, the more expensive the item the longer it is covered by consumer protection.
I would tell their customer service team you are from Australia and you are protected by Australian consumer law. If they will not refund you then you will refer the case to the ACCC.
[edit] I’ll also mention that we have been using the Vava monitor since posting this review and it’s been flawless. Kinda stunning to me that a $100 odd monitor can blow a nearly $500 one out of the water in so many ways.
Thank you so much, that’s so helpful!
