DeLonghi Nespresso Maestria EN450CW Questions & Answers
VerifiedHow can I make Factory Reset? The machine no longer fill up my cup of coffee as it always did before
When was the Delonghi Nespresso Maestria En450CW Released in australia
I have this machine - love it. Have used it 2/3 times a week for three years. But now it won’t work. when I turn it on, the three white lights blink a few times, blink faster and then machine turns off automatically.
Any ideas on whether it’s salvagable?
Have de scaled and cleaned - inside and out. Looked clean inside.
Thanks
How easy or hard is it to use the steam wand? How stiff a froth does the steam wand produce? Thank you.
I made a macchiato so I would say the milk froth can be quite stiff. Depends how deep you hold the wand into the milk I believe (after watching barista's on You Tube etc). To use the wand you simply turn the lever on the side from the off to the on position and wait for the indicator light to stop blinking. You place the wand so that it points to the drip tray then push the lever forward to clear any hot water. I then push the wand to the outer position and use it in a ss jug with a thermometer frothing the milk to about 60 - 65 deg. It's very easy and quite quick to froth your milk. Easy to clean the wand too. I really like this machine.
It doesn't matter what angle or how you hold the wand, you will not get velvety micro foam "true barista style". The steam tip has a hole which is just too large. This allows too much steam and pressure into your milk. I have tried a number of times and using different techniques but can only produce very frothy and watery milk. Very disappointed in my purchase." If you are after "froth" then go for it.
Does it take a standard size coffee mug? Can you make plain flat whites with it? Ta
Hello, if you look at the cup holder in the middle under the coffee spout, that cup holder folds up to the left leaving you with a cup size from the drip tray to the coffee spout, so yes, most cups/latte glasses/mugs will fit with this machine.
Simon.
