Hi Geoff, The descale alert is based on the amount of coffees you are making and the water hardness level chosen on the machine. If you feel like you are seeing the descale notification too often than you are either making a lot of coffees, have hard water and need to descale that often or haven't changed the water hardness level in the machine to match the water you are using. Use the water hardness strip test provided in your accessory box to determine what water hardness you have and set the machine accordingly.

You can check your manual for how to set the water hardness or go to De'Longhi How to Videos on you tube to see how to change the settings for your machine.

Have done all this snd still the same issues anything else worth trying?

They didnt get it The issue we are facing has nothing to do with water hardness, the descaling process keeps going on and on and never ends!!

Yep they do, a few other ones do as well I was in at HN yesterday and was surprised that what looks like they are just manual button controlled have the app function sitting behind it to personalise the coffees etc

We have a few machines that work with the app. The ECAM37095T Dinamica Plus, ECAM65055MS Elite, the EPAM96075GLM Maestosa, and the ECAM65085MS Elite Experience.

No wont take thst size to about 12 dont buy it its crap look at the breville one touch which i bought its excellent and makes a hot coffee

Wow, that is a BIG mug. My measurements show that the distance from the base to the back of the spout assembly at its highest is just over 160 mm. However, this would mean the spouts will end up under the surface of the coffee when the mug is full. Not a good idea. The other issue is the milk spout. This spout is also just over 160 mm, but I am not sure that it will work correctly because it also points down into the coffee. While it may be possible to use a 160 mm mug, I doubt it will be totally successful. Hope this helps and good luck.

The most recent review (25th February) by "Nikki" might hold the answer for you - she says; "I have had one issue with it frothing, but I took the frothed apart gave it a good clean, and ensured the two holes of the turn were pointing left/right (good old google) and it was fine."
