What is the PH of dermaveen oatmeal shampoo

Wyanda L.
Wyanda L.

Would this product work when you suffer from pruritus?

Merryl
Merryl

I doubt it Wyanda because it contains Phenoxyethanol which is a preservative with some nasty side effects. Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative in cosmetic products and also as a stabilizer in perfumes and soaps. Exposure to phenoxyethanol has been linked to reactions ranging from eczema to severe, life-threatening allergic reactions. Infant oral exposure to phenoxyethanol can acutely affect nervous system function. Go to external link  for more info about Phenoxyethanol. Perhaps a visit to a good Dermatologist would be advisable but see your GP first:-)

I applied Dermaveen cream to my face it stung my skin and I woke up it is way worse ?

I use my cream mostly to help eczema on my hands, so I'm not sure about face - if your face reacts to the cream, do not use it again!

I didnt particularly love dermaveen myself. QV cream will always be my go to, i used it on my face for awhile when my skin reacted badly to most products. Now im using paulas choice on my face, and body shop hemp cream. But yea, i had a similar reaction to. It didnt sting me, but it defs didnt hydrate my skin very well and left my eczema feeling worse and dry skin.

Tried dermaveen cream on my face when exma had settled down, but it still stung and caused redness so I only use it on my hands now. Was pretty disappointed with cream, it sounded good but is not for sensative skin. Am still looking for cream that is safe to use long term unlike Dermaide 0.5% hydrocortisone that works really well but can only be used for more then one to two weeks at a time.

I have never used it for that area but I did use for sensitive areas like undereyes and shaved arm pit and it was good.

I have tried lots of creams, but the only thing that works is quarterzone creams, which isn't good to use all of the time, I have eczema over my face, I would like to know what I could use.

Dermaveen works well on my daughters skin, but only as a maintenance cream. Once you have the echzma under control, start alternating with dermaveen and the cortisone. Then over a week, reduce the cortisone - but use the dermaveen instead. Just be aware dermaveen doesn't work on all skins, it works really well in my family, my daughter gets reactions to QV cream but dermaveen is marvellous in our home. but a close family friend can't use dermaveen and they use QV religiously. The point I am making is it may take some trial and error to find what works for you, so don't give up.

I will give that a go. Thankyou

Is Dermaveen safe to use on my dog - he has a red itchy patch on his rump and has chewed off his hair - it is angry and sore!! I have used this product on myself and am wondering if there is anything harmful for Max if he continues to chew this spot. Thanks Jo-Anne

I think your need to consult a vet (even a phone call to one), dogs are different to humans, if you give them an aspirin or a panadol you can kill them. Dermaveen might make it better or could kill your pet.

I was recommended by my vet to use 1-5 years panadol 5 ml on my dog when in pain. And it didn't harm them
