Is it possible to lobby the new owners to start distributing in Australia again? It truly was the very best deodorant for men on the market. The dry application is the property of the stuff that got me hooked over 20 years ago. Doesn’t have a wet and sticky feel under your arm. Please, please, please bring it back.

Sorry, I have no idea if any such representation will be effective. Please be aware that in Australia we are only 2% to 3% of the world market. I have switched to Dove 72 hour and found it very satisfactory. It is a little more expensive, but you use less of it, so it lasts longer, therefore working out at around the same cost.

Sometimes a successful company is purchased to remove it from the competition. I would be wondering if Thrive Capital have any financial relationship with Unilever. Dove and Rexona very quickly filled the empty Dry Idea shelves. I bet you're all using them now. Why? Because there's not much else to choose from. $$$$$

where can you buy it? Coles and Woolworths don't seem to stock it now.

It is no longer available in Australia. It would appear that the American owner of the brand only distributes it in North America.

Would you be able to find out why they have stopped making this dry idea deodorant please. It’s the only one that my husband liked?

Sorry Nola, I have no idea why the manufacturer stopped production of an excellent product. If your husband still has a can of Dry Idea, the manufacturers contact details will be on the can. I would suggest that you contact them at the address shown.

Manufacturer sold the product to an American organisation and therefore no longer sold in Australia. Would be great to know if anyone has found a deodorant as good or comes close to Dry Idea.

From Peter Yates: Has this “Dry Idea” Anti-Persperant Men’s Spray Deoderant become a discontinued line product? Or is it just still out of stock? I found it particularly good for my skin. If it’s been discontinued, can you suggest an alternative?

Have been using Dry Idea for years. Great product. Its a shame it has been discontinued. Has anyone come across something similar, especially the light fresh scent and dry non- staining spray application?

Still working on that Stephen. I have tried a couple, but they are not as effective as Dry Idea. Nivea Men Black & White seems to be similar, but of course, its twice the price.

I also had used it for years until Coles stopped selling it . Excellent product greatly missed . I have tried several since it was stopped but none as good . I am using Dove Men + care . It's ok but $8.00 compared to $2.50
