Dear Sir/Madam
I purchased a replacement Low Profile Contact Head part for my Dyson DC23 Allergy Vacuum which has just broken., the small grey part which allows you to swap the head from tile to carpet has snapped, the same thing happened on the original part.
I notice from the reviews below that these parts come with a two year warranty and I only purchased the replacement on the 21/05/20 directly from Dyson which means it is still within the warranty period. Can you please confirm you are able to issue a replacement part, I have provided evidence below of my original order:

Our DC23 is struggling to remove hair and dirt off carperts, the turbine head doesn't seem to rotate, it just gets stuck in one position. Please advise. The suction is good because if we remove the turbine head and use it, its pretty good. Kindly advise what needs to be done.
Hi Opher, Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your turbine head on your machine. We are happy to help. Your turbine head needs to be cleaned every 3 – 6 weeks. If it is not working as you would expect, try the checkpoints below:
- Make sure the red or purple plunger disk at the side of the turbine head is pulled out
- Has the filter in your machine been washed recently? The filter can affect the suction of machine by up to 60%
- Slide each end of the plastic brush bar off of the turbine head. The left side of the brush bar pulls off to the left of the head, away from the black plastic piece in the middle, the right piece slides to the right. If they are stiff, give them a gentle wiggle, gentle pull and mind your fingers as you pull the brushbar out. Take note which side they come out from as they only go back on the side they were pulled off from.
- Reassemble the turbine head making sure the grey soleplate of the turbine head is fitted securely
- Reassemble and test the machine
If you are still having an issue with your turbine head, we would kindly ask you to email auaskdyson@dyson.com and our Dyson Experts will be happy to help.
Best wishes,
Shan
Hi i just bought home a Dyson Turbine head for my existing Dyson vacuum. Does this head clean floor boards. I feel like it might scratch the floors??? Please help
Hi Emmz, Thanks for your question. The turbine head is specialized for picking up hair and threads and beating the dust from your carpet. It will work on hard floor, however as small dust particles can occasionally be blown away due to the spinning brush we recommend for the brush bar to be switched off on hard floor. There is a red plunger on the side to allow you to switch it of and on. We would also recommend it to be switched off for safety if there are sharp particles on the ground such as stones or broken glass.
If you have any further questions or need assistance please email us at auaskdyson@dyson.com and we will be happy to help.
Best wishes,
Mira

My dyson dc23 collects all the dust in filter and dirt does not go into the container. i have washed both, any help?
Hi Angie, Thanks for your question. If the filter becomes dirty in a very short space of time there may be a blockage elsewhere in the machine or in the cyclone. If you are unable to locate a blockage, the cyclone may need to be replaced.
Please reach out to our Dyson experts at auaskdyson@dyson.com including your contact details, a description of the issue and the machine's serial number and we will be more than happy to help.

The rigid 3 part handle is failing to lock at the upper junction. Is there any way of dismantling the handle to find out what is stopping it from locking?
Hi Derek, Apologies for any disappointment, however if the wand isn't locking in we would recommend replacing this part. A wide variety of spare parts can be found via external link , however if you can't find the specific part for your machine, please email askdyson@dyson.com.au with the serial number of your machine and we'll be happy to assist further.

I have this exact same problem. Did you ever find a solution? I called Dyson, but they weren't much help. Just said it was out of warranty and tried to sell me a new vacuum. It seems like it should be a simple fix, but not sure what. Please let me know if yours is fixed. Thanks.

The beater bar doesn't turn properly when trying to sweep. It stops on the rug. What should I be checking to get this to work properly?
Mine sometimes stops on a rug, this is usually because of the way the carpet fibres are or the bar has a lot of hair tangled up around the central connection point. There would be three things I'd check.
1. Pull your turbine head apart and clean out all the hair/foreign fibres tangled around the beater bar and check the suction hole in the turbine head is free from paper/larger objects.
2. On the side of the turbine head is a filter (mine is coloured red) make sure to check that it is pulled out. When pushed in, it will stop the turbine head from spinning.
3. Have you cleaned your filter in the back left wheel? There should be a yellow locking mechanism, unlock it, and wash your filter in clean cold water. No soap!
