Is the Dyson V11 Absolute safe to use on a new loop pile wool carpet without it fluffing it up? Can you heighten up the brush bar to prevent this?

purchased the V11 absolute extra a couple of days ago and the wand just won't release from the chamber. Always a struggle, I can't keep doing this struggle as I vac out daily...

Hello I’m looking to buy the V11 Absolute Extra but I’m worried as I heard they’re hard to work with on thick dense carpets which is what we have. Can you explain please if this is correct and if there’s a way around it. Thank you.
Hi Leora, we have one large and quite thick style rug, the V11 works quite well on that rug.

Dyson machines are designed to work on many different types of carpet and its unusual to expect any difficulties. Should you find it hard to push, the cleanerhead gives you the ability to reduce the seal it has with your floor type (by moving the selector switch to the "-") to make it easier to push.
That being said, we would encourage contacting your flooring manufacturer if you have any concerns about using a Dyson machine on your flooring.
You should have no issues using the Dyson on your carpet. The setting on the high torque head makes a massive difference but you also have the option to use eco mode.
What is the difference between the Dyson V11 Absolute Extra and the Dyson V11 Absolute
I think the Extra comes with an additional soft roller head specifically for hard floors such as timber. It's a little gentler on timber floors. Everything else is the same.
While the Dyson V11 Absolute and V11 Absolute Extra come with the same accessories, the V11 Absolute Extra has been updated with a new click-in battery pack, to allow the battery to be replaced without the need to remove any screws along with increased suction power.
While one battery is provided, additional batteries are available for seperate purchase should additional run time be desired.

My understanding is that the "Extra" models are updated models with improved suction. 20% more over the v10 vs 40% more power over v10 in the case of the v11 Extra. Is this incorrect Dyson rep?

Hi Jenny, Have never had the pleasure of owning a Dyson Absolute, though believes that the battery, the informative LED screen at the top of the handle, battery life and powerful motor may have a lot to do with it... Or maybe the super quiet motor or ability of full control via the different power levels?
This really is an incredible machine Jenny, and as a single (mere male) one would never have thought in a squillion years would be raving on about of all things A VACUUM CLEANER! Look, pay the couple of extra bucks, you will not be disappointed, this machine is actually FUN to use!

Should you elect to purchase an optional second battery, you can easily remove and replace the battery with the press of a button.
