What causes flashing red light when plugged in for charge

When I connect it to the charger the blue charging light does not come on - the red light flashes for about 30 times and then goes off. Please help?
If the light on your battery is flashing red 12 or more times, this indicates the battery would need to be replaced. Genuine replacement batteries (complete with a 2 year Dyson guarantee) can be found here: external link . By only using genuine Dyson batteries, you are ensuring your machine works as intended.

Hey hi, For my Dyson V6 Animal the motor head has shopped rotating, upon inspection i noticed hair build up and then i cleaned it thoroughly inside and outside and cleaned it,. Now the problem is , i am not getting power in the tube at all, i even tried it with other Animal motor head and even thats not working. Its just sucking the air as normal but none of the motor heads getting power with or without the rode. Has anyone faced a similar situation? thanks in advance

Hi, this is the exact same thing that is happening to me and it seems to be a very common problem among Dyson consumers. I have had my Dyson for 22 months and I have sent an email explaining this and hopefully I will get a new battery under their 2 year guarantee. I am still waiting for their reply.

my dyson v6 absolute animal only runs for a few seconds after charging, the blue light flashes, I plug it in and get a solid blue light indicating charging, blue light goes out , but then I go to use it and it only lasts a few seconds.

I have a v6 animal. Stopped working so we replaced battery. Been fully charged. Now it clicks and the max button lights up 5 times. But won’t work. Only information I can find is maybe it’s too hot or cold. It’s none of this. Can anyone advise me please.
where did you get your new battery, if it is from Dyson, just return it, is it under normal mode (not max)?
The battery isn’t the problem it’s the Hoover itself. We also tried our neighbors battery.

How can I turn off the spinning brush? V6 Animal Origin.
Hi Steven, Thank you for your query. The head on the V6 Animal Origin is designed to spin on both carpets and hard floors. On carpets, stiff nylon brushes agitate carpets to remove ground in dust, whereas on hard floors, soft carbon fibre brushes reduce static and pick up more fine dust.

I have a V6 Animal which is approx 18 months old.....I love the machine as I have 5 dogs however the Motorhead attachment has broken rendering it unusable...it has snapped at the thin wall near the locking mechanism where you remove the brush for cleaning.
I have been pondering upgrading my machine but unfortunately finances do not allow me to do this at present. Where can I purchase a new motorhead and for what price.?

Hi, I just bought a Dyson V6 Animal Origin which came with four cleaning heads. Is it okay to use the direct driver cleaner on hardwood floors?

Hi Nic, Thanks for your question. The Direct Drive Motorhead is suitable for both hard floor and carpet. We recommend inspecting the underside of any motorized head before use to ensure there is no damage that could impact the floor, and to ensure there are no sharp foreign objects caught under the head.

My Dyson V6 keeps shutting off after a few seconds. The battery has been replaced by Dyson but it still won't hold a charge. I just noticed once I plug in to charge - the blue light stays on for about a minute then the light goes out. I assume the plug is bag.
