NeriB ..... In response to your question with Bobby about flashing blue / red buttons, then nothing on your V6. As the Dyson Team have already answered, I can add no more than they have. My V6 does not flash at button blue, and red has never come on in the two years of ownership. However, as I mentioned in my review, these are not all that sturdy appliances and maybe you have unintentionally mishandled it, or it is now too old. I have dyson v6 origin slim. I have pulled it apart and cleaned machine. But it wont charge. It flashed blue 10 times on the base of handle. Is it the charger broken or the pin in charger not working?? Its not a year old. Very frustrating.

My Dyson v6 slim origin is on charge all night but only lasts 10 minute's. Is there a problem with the battery? I just purchased it 2 days ago.
Hi there, Thanks for your question. New cord free machines are preset to the maximum suction level which has a 6 minute run time, and switching Max off will increase the run time. To do this,while the machine is running, press and hold the max button till the light around Max switches off.

After my dyson slim origin is charged fully and I pull the trigger to use it cuts off after just a few seconds. I have to keep hitting the trigger to turn it back on each time after the few seconds when it cuts off. Is there something I’m missing to get constant power when I pull the trigger to vacuum and want it to stay in like it use to work. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance.
That was happening to mine the other day actually! I dropped it and thought I had broken it. I ended up taken the collection chamber off and the filter out and cleaned off all the dust and it stared working as per normal again.

Hi Megan, No the light should not be flashing. The blue light then turns off when it is fully charged.
Hi Megan, Thank you for your question. When the machine is attached to the charger there should be a solid blue light at the base of the handle to indicate the battery is charging. A flashing blue light can indicate a temporary charging fault, unplug the charger from the wall and the machine, then plug it back in.

No I don’t. I only charge it when it runs out of bettery because we don’t want to mount the charger on the wall. But we have friends just leave their V8 plugged in all the time.
yes, unplug if not using for extended period, and allow to cool before putting back on docking station, especially important to cool first if battery discharged whilst using.
Hi Gary, Thank you for your query. Your Dyson V6 has smart electronics within the machine, battery and charger to ensure the machine won't overcharge. It is recommended you leave the machine on charge when not in use, this will ensure it is always ready for your next cleaning session. The electronics in the machine will ensure the battery charges to 100%, but not over.

Hi,I have had the Dyson on charge since giving it to my son for Christmas yesterday, it still doesn't appear to be charged as the blue light flashes 10 times then goes out, it went for approx 10 secs now nothing ? Help please !
Hi Mandy, Thank you for your query. 10 flashing blue lights indicates the machine needs to be charged. Please put your machine on the charger and observe the lights after on charge for 5+ minutes.
If the lights are on and solid blue, the machine is charging. Please allow to charge for 3.5 hours or until the lights turn off.

Is it possible for the vacuum to overheat? Mine keeps stop starting
Hi Dylan, Thanks for your question. The stop-starting or pulsating noise means that the motor is not getting the correct airflow. This could mean that the filter is dirty or that there is a partial blockage of the airflow in the machine. Eventually the machine may shut down to protect the motor and battery from overheating. whats the difference between v6 slim and v6 slim origin?
Hi Danny, Thanks for your question. The V6 Slim Origin is exclusively available from Big W. The V6 Slim is available from our major national retailers as well as from external link . The V6 Slim Origin is a blue colour, the V6 Slim is yellow. The internal specifications of both machines is the same. The Origin is not supplied with a crevice tool, whereas the V6 Slim is supplied with a crevice tool.
