Electrolux Ergorapido 4th Generation Questions & Answers
VerifiedPurchased the ZB3104 through JB Hi-Fi July 2021, thus outside of warranty. The fault is the battery is basically dead, it will turn on but will only last a few minutes before failure. This is a secondary vacuum used for timber floor in kitchen mainly. Well maintained, filter replaced every 6 months. The fact the battery has barely lasted 3 years of light use is concerning. Rightly or wrongly I expected a much longer period of usage. Should these vacuums be considered a disposable item to be binned after a couple of years use? Just seems inherently unfair given a basic search reveals this problem to be a worldwide issue for Electrolux. Rang Electrolux and advised nothing they could do as it’s out of warranty, very disappointing. I guess it’s just buyer beware, faulty product, do not buy.
I have been through a few - 3 years seems about all you get. I think mine died after 2 years.
Hi, need to know what year this model was made please, also can one buy replacement batteries for this unit ZB3104, thank you Christine
I have a Electrolux ZB 3103 bought on 11/4/2018. The battery now does not last more than 5 minutes after a full charge. I only want it to do a house dust and crumb clean in between my normal vacuuming, about 2-4 times a week, but I did expect the battery to last longer than this. It seems that it is difficult to get another battery for these and the cost is prohibitive. Only now I am looking up this website and find the many problems people are having with batteries. What do you suggest I do please?
What voltage is this vacuum
I have a ZB3103 and need a new battery, I have just read it has been replaced by another model, where can I get a new battery, or do I have to buy a new cleaner?... Kaye
Suitable batteries?
Hi Afzal, mine just sits on the charger. No batteries required.
What is the difference between Electrolux-ergorapido-zb3107-dark-bordeaux Series 4 and /electrolux-ergorapido-zb3104-ice-white Series 4?
Purchased 13th October 2017 so still under warranty (2 years). Not fully charging. Shows 2 or 3 bars never goes up to 4 bars anymore. I would have expected it to fully charge for at least 2 years. Can you please let me know what I can do if anything?
Brought this vac in March 2017 still have receipt the vac is on charge all the time I have used it 2 days running and it has lasted 5 minutes before dying put it back on the charger again the next day same thing does it have a 2 year warranty judy
Experiencing same problem Is not fully recharging. Power cuts off after a 5 minutes.
Check for hair around the brush roller and even around the drive. This causes drag on the roller making the battery run flat quickly. When in hand held mode the battery lasts longer because of no drag.
My vacuum was working fine one minute and the next ei used it it now starts up then stops after a few seconds When I take the hand held out it works fine
I was told always leave on recharge , never switch recharge off unless going away for a few days.
I don’t think it’s the battery It has been unplugged now since Xmas and still starts and works fine using the handheld part It’s just when I try and use the stick that it stops
See if the beater bar brush is clean. Mine was wound up with thread and a dryer laundry sheet. I cleaned it off, put it back in place, locked it in and presto! It works again!
I had paid $399 for mine. I used it twice then it stopped working. I will charge it for hours, switch it on and the vacum will work for 5 seconds and then stop.Havent been able to use it again.Am i doing something wrong whilst charging it or so on?
What is the warranty on battery for the ZB3104?
A few reviews here indicate there is only a 3 month warranty on the battery but I called goodguys and appliancesonline and have been told by both that its 2 years on the whole unit including battery.
I'm confused..
Hi, at JB hi-fi they did not call out any limitations on the battery warranty so I would assume it would be the unit unit
JB hi-fi are good in this regard
My brand new Electrolux Ergorapido is showing fully charged (red indicator light flashing every minute) but nothing turns on. This is the first time we have used it, or rather, TRIED to use it. Any suggestions before I take it back to the place of purchase?
Make sure the handheld unit has clicked properly into place on the stick unit and that the dust collector is also seated properly.
What's the charger look like?
The charger is the stand that the stick vacuum sits on so is about 25 cm high and 8 wide, with the bottom part as big as the broom part of the cleaner. If you do a Google search of images for Ergorapido charging station, it will show you exactly. It's very lightweight.
What difference zb3107 vs zb3114?
The Zb3107 is a slightly older model and have less power. Zb3114, is one generation after that. There are various improvement, especially in terms of suction power. I have the Zb3114. However if you compare it to other brands like dyson, it still lacks abit of power. The machine is also quite chucky and not good with tight places like behind and under the couch.
I purchased this from Masters approximately 12-18 months ago. For the past 6 month it only manages to vacuum the lounge and kitchen (these areas are tiled) then it shuts itself down. I put it back on charge and no matter how long it has been on charge the charge bars continually flash like the connection is not good and the recharge is not working properly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jane
Hi Jen, Mine did that too. It got progressively worse until it only lasted a couple of minutes (about half a rug) I sent it in for repairs with the company that Electrolux suggested and the repairs guy is trying to get it replaced under warrantee.

Would you have a contact number for Electrolux? So I could give them a call please.
I've had this vacuum for 3-4 years and love it. It hasn't been working properly the last few months. I turn it on and it shuts off right away. It will stay powered on while in low but not enough suction. Try to use it on high and it turns off. The handheld works fine, it's the stick that isn't working. I've kept it clean and free of hair with every use. Any recommendations or do I need to buy a replacement in a different brand? I really thought the investment in Electrolux meant I would have it for a long time!
Hi Michele, Sounds like the Lithium battery powering the vacuum might have see it's use by date. That's all I can think of. Not much else can really go wrong. I'd say find a good Electrolux dealer/service guy and run that by them. Goos luck!
Hi Michelle, Did you get yours sorted out? Mine has started doing the same thing as yours. I would think if it were a battery problem, the handheld should also not work right. My handheld works just fine. I really don't want to crawl around to vacuum. I want the stick part to stay on when I turn it on. thank you
I ended up investing in a new stick vacuum but a different brand. As much as I loved the Electrolux, I didn’t want to invest again not knowing the lifespan and I also couldn’t find the same one or a replacement model.
Only just over a month old, suddenly cut out after only 10 mins of vacuuming, bottom orange light flashes quickly for a few minutes, popped it into the recharger, been there for over 14 hours and still nothing, when you press the start button the orange light flashes quickly again (bottom one) then goes out after about 30 secs. Tried taking it out and reinserting into recharger a few times with no difference. Please advise?

Thanks,

My Ergorapido is just over two years old (yes, just out of guarantee) and when put into the charger unit, it turns on. So spinning in the charger means it doesn't charge, lots of orange flashing lights and turning on and off. Quite entertaining really... but no damn use. Any suggestions?
Hi Lawrie
I'm afraid I can't help you. I haven't had that issue. Sounds like a battery issue as seems to be the case with most of the Electrolux Ergorapido.
What kind of battery does this machine use? Can I buy and replace it by myself? I am living in HCMC, Vietnam.
Thanks
It can be rechargable. I don't think I can take out the battery and replace it.
It runs off 240V power, not battery.
Sorry, Electrolux Ergorapido ZB3103 is a device using rechargable battery.
