Electrolux Ergorapido ZB29 Series (2nd Generation) Questions & Answers
VerifiedBattery charges okay, but unit keeps cutting out, why?
Is it possible to replace the battery?
Electrolux normally replace the head at a cost of $150 that's what I was quoted but you need to make sure it is the battery I have been told by a shop worker that there is a nother issue and not necessary the battery I had a independent 12 volt shop cheek mine
Thanks Gary.
Hi, I purchased my second Electrolux Ergorapido ZB2932 in December 2014 because the battery in my original one started to switch off all the time. The same thing is happening with the second one. I really like the product as it's light and works well but seems a shame that the battery is unreliable after 16 months. The unit does work but it turns itself off 5 or 6 times before it will go for any length of time and seems to be working at a slower pace than original. Is this usual? Thanks, Linda Green, Bunbury WA
I have the same problem, is it the battery or charge or neither.
I have same problem ...any solution to this ?
I have now the same problem with Electrolux Ergorapido with the battery when now the warranty is 6 month overdue. Based on what I have read here the battery seems to be designed to go broken soon after the warranty period is over. We used this vacuum cleaner really seldom, so it is not due to "too much use" for sure. 6 years ago I also had an Electrolux fridge, of which the control panel was broken twice during warranty. Then the door dropped off (yes it did!) after the warranty was over. The inner structure in the door around hinge counterpart gave off because of there was lacking polyurethane from the inside of the door frame. So the hinge counterpart broke and it dropped into the door frame hole lacking polyurethane. And when I opened the door the door dropped off completely because the upper hinge dropped out of the upper counterpart. This was a clear design / manufacturing flaw. Even so they practically laughed at me when I called the country technical warranty manager about this. I had to buy a new door which cost 1/3 of the price of a new fridge. I am never ever going to buy another Electrolux machine. :-(
Why does it work fine sometimes, other times will run for short times and keep turning off? Thanks! Terry
Seems to be a very common fault if you read the many adverse reviews.
battery problems. if under warranty have the hand held portable vac section (which contains the rechargeable battery) replaced. Check authorized repairer as to status as the manufacturer lists the battery as a consumerable item with warranty of 3 months. The authorized repairer may replace hand held section (containing battery) under the manufacturers warranty provision of 2 years.
I have the same problem if the battery's not kept charged, I leave it on the charger all the time then when I go to use it I lift it off charger then put it back on till charge
Light goes off then I'm away, can do the whole house
