Have just installed a Fanco Wynd 54" ceiling fan. More than happy...up until the second day. Still whisper quite and performs well, but now it stops then restarts every minute or two...does anyone have an explanation. As far as I am aware the power supply is not being interrupted, it doesn't beep and lights on the same circuit stay on.

Try the button on the remote that looks like 3 wavy lines.

Hi guys, this is a great question. From what Steve is saying, it sounds like David and Len are right, and fan is on the "natural breeze setting". This setting varies the fan's speed automatically to mimic an outdoor breeze. When the natural breeze setting is active, the breeze icon (3 wavy lines) appears on the LCD display to on the left side of the speed indicator. It's very easy to switch this setting off, just click the natural breeze button (3 wavy lines) on the remote, as David suggested. If this doesn't work, please get in touch with us by emailing service@fanco.com.au but it sounds like your fan is working as it should.

The fan or remote was not set to the breeze icon, just normal running. Tried at different speeds...same issue. Also when the remote icon is showing airflow up, the fan is pushing the air down and vice versa. When on the breeze icon is on it does spin up and spin down to a stop as expected. Perhaps I should email service@fanco.com.au

1 of my Wynd fans was doing the same then a clicking noise started. The 2nd fan is still good smooth and quiet, except for the start up isn't so smooth. I threw out the faulty fan cause warranty or refund was to difficult cause i a electrical engineer installed it, 100% sure one of the faults was in the motor when i uninstalled it and had the motor in my hand the motor did not spin freely like it should. The 2nd fault was the intermittent stop and start 1 second later. I just ordered some Irene Hugger fans to replace the Wynd fans hopefully the build quality is much better.

Hi Steve, yes that's the best thing to do - we can't troubleshoot this on Product Review. If you think you might need to lodge a warranty claim, you can do so via our website: external link  and click on the Wynd, but feel free to email us first if you're not sure. Regarding the quality of the product, this fan has been in the marketplace for a few years now and in that time it's received a recommendation from Choice as well as plenty of positive feedback here on Product Review.
