My fridge is leaking from the top of the filter, it was in installed by plumber the first time, when it leaked I just turned the tap off and never used it for a couple of years> Last Month I had it reinstalled by another plumber the 2nd time and it still leaks, what can be done to fix this. It out of warranty now.
Same thing happened to me. I bought a "847200 compatible filter kit" from ebay. It is not actually compatible per se, as in the the cartridge is completely different. It an entire filter kit replacement. It works well. The cartridge I have is a LPA-CB5-10, but there are heaps of different options. Note that the cartridges need to be flushed first,
I purchased a Fisher & Paykel model RF522ADUX5 Feb 2019. The water filter housing is leaking after replacing filter with genuine F & P filter. As this seems to be a fault and hasn't lasted a reasonable time are Fisher & Paykel doing anything for it customers?
Does anyone know why the water dispenser has such a slow flow rate on this model? Is there any way to improve it? It takes 40 seconds to fill a 250ml glass even with a brand new filter.
Hello the freezer door of my RF610ADUSX4 has dropped a few millemters and we have to lift the door when pushing in to make sure it closes properly. Can anyone advise id there is a way to adjust the door so I can correct? thankyou.
I’ve had the same issue - leaking filter head. Out of warranty as fridge is 18 months old. Bit disappointing not to be part of a product recall given it has been experienced by so many others. Water damaged my kitchen cupboards. Would anyone be interested in joining a class action. Should be simple to sign up for if I got the ball rolling.
I also have that model and filter was leaking. I have just been informed by a technician that Fisher Paykel are aware of this faulty part but did not inform customers or recall part. I would be happy to join class action Jennifer M

Did anyone start a class action? Our kitchen has been damaged also by their known faulty water filter housing (they replaced a faulty one with another faulty one)
Same here and it has damaged my floors and built in cabinetry.
I have the same issue with water leak from the filter head. Damaged my kitchen cupboards. Seems this is a widely known issue. F&P advised my fridge was out of warranty 18months old, and F&P have not considered a product recall for that part. Would anyone be interested in joining a class action? It’s pretty simple - you just put your name and details down and may get a small compensation if successful. Seems poor form to knowingly reject the issue if experienced by so many people.
Consumer Affairs will assist with replacement. If a product doesn’t last a reasonable time for what it’s supposed to do it has to be replaced.
Interesting, we had this issue on a fridge purchased in 2018 (RF610ADUB5), happened a couple of years ago and fortunately I had purchased extra warranty through Product Care (Harvey Norman). The tech that came out also told me F&P knew about this. $2,500 insurance claim for the water damage in our kitchen cupboard & floor where the tap & filter are located. It's just happened again, I have 6 months left on my extended warranty. It's not through F&P but I'm going to push for a replacement. Not sure I want another F&P though!

Water dispenser very low flow pressure how do I increase the pressure?
when did you last change the water filter? It may be completely blocked. Carefully follow EVERY step in the manual. Long slow, takes 45 mins. But will also prevent air and gurgling.
Makes an occasional popping noise like removing a lid from a jar that has been sealed?
Our FP 614litre French Door Fridge Freezer creates an iceberg of iceblocks all melted together under the ice filler. I assume this means there is a drop leak while the ice maker is freezing each time dripping down into the ice bucket/drawer. Is there an easy way to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Just got an RF610ADUX1 and it’s leaking out through the bottom freezer front corners. If I were guessing I’d think it’s condensation buildup that is being dropped down the interior back and leaked out to the floor. There does seem to be condensation (but not huge amounts) in the fridge and freezer cabinets. Also, I do not have it connected for ice making and water dispensing, so checking to see if this is a condensation problem or a ice/water connection problem.

Sam my filter connection car for the cartridge and caused a big mess in the Fisher and Paykel fridge you have to possibly replace the cartridge and the head but was told buy Fisher & Paykel that it would cost me over $400 which was ridiculous I just changed it to a straight line filter for $60 works fantastic

How do you take the freezer drawe out
I suggest look at the manual...
I must be silly but how do you tell what temperature the fridge/freezer is actually running at? If you happen to change the temp using + or - you have no idea what temp it is other than sticking your own thermo in there. Not ideal
Also can you make the water cooler from the dispenser?
My F/P fridge is also leaking badly after we change the filter with a genuine F/P cartridge. Any suggestions on how to fix this or what should I do my fridge is two years old.
Exactly the same thing just happened to me with a rf610adux5 and the external wall mounted filter. Replaced with a genuine cartridge a few weeks ago, and now it's started dripping. Wrecked all the skirting behind the fridge...
My fridge is only 2 1/2 years old. It has ruined the base of the overhead cupboard of a brand new kitchen (Not happy) I have contacted F/P so let’s see what happens.
Mine also leaked and damaged skirting board and laminated flooring!!!

After trying a second Fisher Paykel filter which still leaked, we ended up discarding the entire FP setup and installed a standard 5micron filter from Reece. external link
I have the same problem with RF610ADUB5 fridge. The filter system is the 847200. Was brand new end of 2018 leaked through the cabinet down into the ceiling downstairs. Had the whole system replaced under warranty in 2019. It started leaking again end of last year. I have an older Fisher and Paykel french door fridge with filter system 836848 and have never had a problem with it - had the fridge since 2015.
Same issue for me, changed cartridges and exactly the same problem after a short period of time. Too many coincidences here!
We discovered a leak after noticing panel damage in our 3 year old kitchen . Tried 3 new cartridges and it still leaked . Have now submitted a claim thank goodness I have an extended warranty . I want nothing to do with this type of fridge again . I most certainly don’t want a replacement part that the filter attaches to as I have read even the replacements leak .
Fisher&Paykel 614L FRENCH DOOR RF610ADUSX4 (STAINLESS STEEL) my problem is the base of the freezer draw forms solid ice periodically, It can last for months at a time. Is this common and what can I do to combat it?
Unclear: top or bottom drawer? Is it water that has refrozen like a sheet of ice cube, or the fuzzy white stuff old freezers used to accumulate? (if its solid cie in the ice cube collector on the TOP LEFT DRAWER, I just empty the good cubes, melt the chunky stuff at the bottom with warm water, and press the turbo ice button and it produces a bunch of fresh ice overnight and its good as new. definitely dicard old ice cubes periodically as they can melt togther. I do this 2-3 times a year min.
Hi. The door handle on the fridge door has become loose and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to tighten it. I have taken the whole handle off but to no avail. The handle doesn’t sit flush and the hole in the handle doesn’t attach to the screw. It’s currently held together with sticky tape Thanks
