Drum will not spin. Belt is still on. Machine drains no kinks or blockages in hose. When you turn the dial to drain and spin it the timer goes to 2 mins and does not spin. Last time it was used the drum would on turn both ways slowly and would not do the fast spin. Was also making a funny noise when the drum was moving

When this machine is supposed to turn hot water valve on. The valve itself is OK and filter but it is not getting power to open.

Is it normal for the 90° cotton wash cycle to go for nearly 3 hours? Apart from quick wash & hand wash settings the shortest wash cycle is the daily. At 1:03 hours & being cold water only. Sometimes I need more but 2&3 plus hours seems ridiculous!!

I have a Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine WH80F60WV1, and I wanted to know the right combination for the wiring that connects to the fuse of the On/Off power button please. The two colours are orange and sort faded blue for the wiring.

Today l put in a load of washing as per usual in our Fisher & Paykel front loader. At what l thought was the completion of the load it didn't display END and just stayed on the original load time. There is still water in the machine and the door will not open. Selecting another programme doesn't help because now the machine does nothing but count down the time! Any ideas?

I had a similar experience recently - couldn't get the machine off one programme. I tried a few things like holding the 'cancel' button for a long time, and unplugging the whole unit, as well as selecting the shortest cycle. Something in there made it happen - I just can't remember when it 'clicked in'. My advice - just try a few different options.

My wh80f60w1 will wash for approx 8 mins and then return to 59 minute mark. I have drained the machine and cleaned the filter. Could you please suggest a solution?

Sorry, can't help with this - never had this happen, though did have problems with one wash cycle showing different times for the wash. My problems were with the selector and not being able to access certain options, dirty residue on clothes and machine beginning to rust at 5 yrs old.

Hi, is the machine still under some kind of warranty as if "yes" then I would just call out a repairer - it does sound similar to the problem I had with my machine - I was lucky enough to have taken out an extended warranty and in the end after many visits from the washing machine repair guy the extended warranty company gave me a refund to replace the machine - just to let you know that:

A-my machine had a new heating element fitted-that was not a problem that I had and why the machine was being repaired in the first place

B-my machine had a new what they would call a control panel, the part which operates the dial and wash cycles, like the whole unit.. motherboard??-this still did not fix the problem - i think it came down to a BALANCING problem with the machine - in that the washing in the machine gets into a bit a cycle of trying to balance out the washing to allow it to get up to the final fast spin speed cycle!! as it can not distribute the washing it goes into a faulty cycle to try and sort it's self out!! hope this helps - there was not a solution to the balance problem hence the refund I was given.... keep in mind that if it is not under warranty it may cost you heaps of money for the guys to come out and repair when the problem can not be fixed (if it was the same as my problem machine!!)... at least you would have some kind of info/knowledge of the potential possible problem and try and get the repairers to agree that if the machine can not be fixed then you would not have to pay them... they may be kind enough to offer you that... please note that it did help my case to video the faults and then show it to the repair company and also to have to send to the extended warranty company... it did cost a lot of money for me to buy this machine in the first place and i did expect it to last longer that it did!! hope you get your machine problem resolved!!

Hi, My F & P washer WH80F60WV1 when the cycle has got time down to one minute remaining then it is still on one minute remaining after thirty minutes later - another problem too is that it does not spin all the water out - another problem too is that when I turn the dial it will not go to the 15 minute spin and drain cycle, I have to Turn the dial really slowly backwards and forwards like a safe cracker to get onto that cycle and quickly press start before I loose the position!! Help please. Still under extended guarantee but having problems with repair company who can not seem to rectify the problems even though they have taken it away.....

My machine was ok for few years, then I too had problems with time at end of cycle, but not up to 30 minutes. I also had problems with selector dial not fixing on selection, and at times clothes not spinning dry. Repairer advised needed complete new menu board (sorry not sure of proper name) - quoted repair cost was NZ$465. I had ongoing problem with clothes getting scum on them and having to be rewashed (even with regular and intense cleaning of rubber seal around door/drum) . Lost patience with it. Only about 3-4 years old when I first had problems - have given up on it and gone back to a top loader (not F & P)
