It appears to be a common problem and for something that costs so much very disappointing. Even worse after you buy one the salesperson at BBQ's Galore says "yeah thats a problem with a lot of these, it's just a fault we know about" Maybe you could lead with that before selling them.

Its the gas cut switch connected to the burner.

The glass isnt attached in the door, but the manual doesnt cover putting the glass in place. Is this how it is supposed to be or is there an issue with mine?

Is it possible to get a suitable tradesperson to convert this to run on natural gas from a mains connection?

I would like to purchase a HARK Texas Pro but I only want it with 1door. I have noticed it has split doors (large door left, small door right). I feel this may be a hindrance having the steel mid strap when cooking large, or long pieces of meat. Can I purchase this with a single door only?

The manual for our new smoker states not to use sawdust A brother-in-law reckons its ok to use sawdust(he does) as it is only in America that one shouldn't. As long as it is untreated, would there be any other problem with using sawdust?

Using sawdust doesn't give you clean smoke. You get tar residue which imparts a bitter taste due to the surface area on smouldering sawdust. Wet non citrus natural wood chips will give you the best results, and economy wjen smouldering. Sawdust is great in controlled pre smokers, not open flame cabinets.
